One of the world’s most famous children’s toys, Barbie, has been given a makeover – wearing a burkha.

Wearing the traditional Islamic dress, the iconic doll is going undercover for a charity auction in connection with Sotheby’s for Save The Children.

More than 500 Barbies went on show yesterday at the Salone dei Cinquecento, in Florence, Italy.

Wait, was that about saving the children with a doll wearing clothing that is designed to be repressive in the Muslim world?

The company director of Laird Assessors from The Wirral, Cheshire, said: ‘Bring it on Burkha Barbie, I think this is a great idea.

‘I think this is really important for girls, wherever they are from they should have the opportunity to play with a Barbie that they feel represents them.

There are so many things wrong with that statement, I do not even know where to begin. I guess all the young girls will be able to learn what it is like to live in the coming European Caliphate. At one time, long ago when Arabs mostly lived in the desert, it might have made sense. Both men and women wore them to protect from the sun and sand, and so that it would be easier to hide who one was during warfare. Now, it simply stands for repression and subjugation of women.

But this hasn’t left the Left at a loss to explain Nidal Malik Hasan’s horrific killing spree. It was caused by all the things liberals don’t like — guns, for example. To quote Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, whose corrupt machine politics helped produce our Community Organizer in Chief:

Unfortunately, America loves Guns. We love guns to a point where that uh we see devastation on a daily basis. You don’t blame a group.

Likewise, it was America’s unfortunate love of air travel that caused Hasan’s colleagues to fly passenger airliners into buildings full of innocent people on September 11. You don’t blame a group, unless that group is normal Americans.

If anything good can come of the Islamic atrocity at Fort Hood, it is that liberals in both the government and the media have now squandered the absolute last of their credibility. It simply isn’t possible for them to deny any longer that their depraved ideology puts them on the side of the savages who are trying to destroy us.

After two days of inquiry into the mass shooting at Fort Hood, investigators have tentatively concluded that it was not part of a terrorist plot.

Rather, they have come to believe that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused in the shootings, acted out under a welter of emotional, ideological and religious pressures, according to interviews with federal officials who have been briefed on the inquiry.

OK, so, what do we call it, Fish Wrap? Obviously, it wasn’t a well planned attack by a large group of Islamists (that we know of, considering Hasan’s ties to the mosque that several 9/11 hijackers attended.) So, let’s just say it was a typical day for a Muslim. That’s fair, right, considering so many on the Left and in the liberal media find that every minor killing by someone on the right is indicative of the entire Right, such as the murder of abortionist George Tiller.

Anyhow, it’s great that the NY Times is there to tell us it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with Islamic terrorism, right? RIGHT?

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America’s Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.

He also told colleagues at America’s top military hospital that non-Muslims were infidels condemned to hell who should be set on fire. The outburst came during an hour-long talk Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, gave on the Koran in front of dozens of other doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington DC, where he worked for six years before arriving at Fort Hood in July.

One of Hasan’s neighbours described how on the day of the massacre, about 9am, he gave her a Koran and told her: “I’m going to do good work for God” before leaving for the base.

A civilian police officer who shot him, bringing the rampage to an end, said Hasan appeared “calm” during the massacre, hiding behind a telephone pole and shooting fellow soldiers in the back as they tried to get away.

“He was firing at people as they were trying to run and hide, said Sgt Mark Todd. “Then he turned and fired a couple of rounds at me. I didn’t hear him say a word, he just turned and fired.”

If it acts like an Islamic terrorist and talks like an Islamic terrorist, it must be an Islamic terrorist. Or, in Grey Lady World, a long man who had mental problems, and it is all America’s and the Army’s fault. Why do we have to find this stuff out from the foreign media?

Leaders of the vibrant Muslim community here expressed outrage on Friday at the shooting rampage being laid to one of their members, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who had become a regular attendee of prayers at the local mosque.

But some of the men who had befriended Major Hasan at the mosque said the military should examine the policies that might have caused him to snap.

“When a white guy shoots up a post office, they call that going postal,” said Victor Benjamin II, 30, a former member of the Army. “But when a Muslim does it, they call it jihad.

“Ultimately it was Brother Nidal’s doing, but the command should be held accountable,” Mr. Benjamin said. “G.I.’s are like any equipment in the Army. When it breaks, those who were in charge of keeping it fit should be held responsible for it.”

Our Book doesn’t say to kill the Infidel if he will not convert. Our Book doesn’t turn women into objects that should never appear in photo’s with men. Our Book doesn’t tell us to yell “Allahu Akbar” when killing the infidel. Nidal believed America was the bad guy, and the aggressor. He considered himself a Palestinian first. He lectured on how great decapitation of infidels was.

It could turn out that this was more a case of going postal than a Muslim attack on the infidel. We might never know – particularly if Nidal does not survive. That said, perhaps the Muslim community, which are probably mostly just good people, devout, caring, and proud, should stand up and put an end to what certain members of their religion are doing in the name of their religion. Until such time, their religion will be blamed, and, quite frankly, they are just perpetuating the idea that they were forced to do it by blaming others, such as the Army.

CAIR came out with their excuse for Muslim shooter, Nadal Malik Hasan: he is heinous, and Islam condemns his actions. No comment from CAIR spokesman Nihad Awad that the murders may have been committed in the name of Allah. Awad didn’t mention that there is a name for murders committed in the name of Allah – and that name is jihad. CAIR, by the way, is an un-indicted co-conspirator in the war on terror.

While most Americans will no longer buy this, our courts will. While most Americans know that Islam is an ideology with a Koranic mission to eliminate infidels entirely, the government will not even begin to explore that truth. It is a fact that many Muslims who live their lives peacefully, know that others inside the “faith” are committing jihad, and they do nothing to stop it. It is also a fact, that to abolish jihad from the “faith” is to abandon Islam.

Cynthia Tucker says [it] is probably not a “teachable moment from this horror,” and she cautions that the Army must focus more on stress-plagued soldiers.

There were about 7 hours of teachable moments yesterday – for some, those hours will never end – those hours will be the defining moments in their lives. The Army was already investigating Hasan. Tell me what they could have done with him, without cries of discrimination? There is nothing they could do except:

(1) let him out of the Army after paying thousands for his education, and send the message that if you don’t want to go to a war zone, just let us know and we’ll fix it for you, or

(2) deny all promotions and try to keep him quiet in an environment where men and women know they will be on a battlefield fighting the same ideology that Major Hasan believed so intensely in.

How many centuries has this been going on and we still reject that Islam is anything but peaceful?

There has never been a time, anywhere in the world, that Islam was not the aggressor. No, not every Muslim is radical, but can anyone show me one instance, even within the Military, where Muslims personally want to put an end to Islam’s threat to infidels?

We do not know the details of each and every Muslim serving alongside our Military. That’s the problem. What are we asking Muslims to do when deployed to a war zone fighting the war on terror. We are asking Muslims to kill Muslims, knowing that their “faith” teachs that only Muslims can, and should, survive. I know many Muslims are serving this country, but, really, I ask again, will they tell you they want to put an end to Islam’s threat to infidels? Will they?

My predictions:

(1) If Hasan lives, he will go to prison. I’m hearing this afternoon that he is paralyzed, so if he lives he will not go to prison – and no, being paralyzed is not punishment enough.

(2) The soldiers at Ft. Hood will be blamed for harassing Hasan for his religious beliefs. “Stress” will be used to excuse Major Hasan’s actions.

(3) No one can answer how a solider is supposed to react to a man among them, saying that America is the aggressor in Iraq. There is no answer, because every right answer is discrimination.

(4) Most Americas will no longer support the Muslim cries of “discrimination,” but our leaders will. Our troops will continue to serve side-by-side with Muslim soldiers who do not believe in the war on terror and are not fully committed to eradicating jihad.

(5) Fort Hood will happen again, somewhere, in some way.

Hundreds of angry protesters in Afghanistan’s capital burned an effigy of President Obama on Sunday, acting on rumors that American troops had desecrated the Koran.

U.S. military officials emphatically denied that any copies of the Muslim holy book had been mishandled, and they accused the Taliban of spreading falsehoods to incite hatred against Western forces.

The protest — reminiscent of similar demonstrations in Iraq and elsewhere in the Muslim world in recent years — showed how easily passions involving religious sensitivities can be stirred up even with a dearth of evidence.

More than likely, the rumors are a load of mule fritters, just like they have been so many times before, yet, I do not remember any in the media defending Bush to this extent. If memory serves, when Bush was president, the media took the side of the America haters and barely acknowledged, if acknowledged at all, that Muslims in areas like Afghanistan tend to be a bit, shall we say, excitable? It always seemed to be that Bush had done something mean. Now Obama is in charge, where is the blame from the media? (FYI, I do not blame Obama, he did nothing wrong, and, I do not like anyone burning Obama in effigy, regardless of what my opposition is to Obama’s agenda. You respect the office, if not the man.)

Noor Almaleki’s lifestyle would not strike many Americans as unusual.

The 20-year-old had pages on Facebook and MySpace. She had lots of friends. She posted details about her 5-foot-3 frame, along with an alluring photo, on a Web site for aspiring models and actresses. She lived with her boyfriend and his mother.

That lifestyle, police say, landed her in a Valley trauma center Tuesday afternoon, unconscious and bleeding, and sent her father, Faleh Hassan Almaleki, on the run. It may yet kill her.

Peoria police said they believe Faleh, 48, plowed into his daughter with his silver 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Also run over was Amal Edan Khalaf, the mother of Noor’s boyfriend, while the women were in the parking lot of a state Department of Economic Security
office.

Khalaf’s condition was improving Friday, but Noor remained in “life-threatening” condition, police said. Her father remained at large.

Let’s pray that Noor will be OK.

Police interviews with friends and family revealed that Faleh, a Glendale resident, had threatened his daughter before for becoming “too Westernized” and failing to live by traditional Iraqi values.

Such tolerance.

Meanwhile, Davi Barker with the *Muslim Examiner tries to spin a story about the 5,000 honour killings world wide into being about “not really Muslim.” First, he forgets the part about honour killings happening mostly in Muslim countries. Second, before you attempt to slam Atlas Shrugs and Jihad Watch, maybe you should reconsider wearing a kafiya in support of Palestinian terrorists, Davi.

An Indian farmer’s daughter disarmed a terrorist leader who broke into her home, attacked him with an axe and shot him dead with his own gun.

Rukhsana Kausar, 21, was with her parents and brother in Jammu and Kashmir when three gunmen, believed to be Pakistani militants, forced their way in and demanded food and beds for the night.

His daughter was hiding under a bed when she heard him crying as the gunmen thrashed him with sticks. According to police, she ran towards her father’s attacker and struck him with an axe. As he collapsed, she snatched his AK47 and shot him dead.

And who was Sir Fail?

She may also receive a €4,500 reward if, as police believe, the dead terrorist is confirmed as Uzafa Shah, a wanted Pakistani LeT commander who had been active in the area for the past four years.

I’m lost on President Barack Obama’s Afghanistan policy—along with most of Congress and the U.S. military. Not quite eight months ago, Mr. Obama pledged to “defeat” al Qaeda in Afghanistan by transforming that country’s political and economic infrastructure, training Afghan forces and adding 21,000 U.S. forces for starters. He proclaimed Afghanistan’s strategic centrality to prevent Muslim extremism from taking over Pakistan—an even more vital nation because of its nuclear weapons. And a mere three weeks ago, he punctuated his commitments by proclaiming that Afghanistan is a “war of necessity,” not one of choice. White House spokesmen reinforced this by promising that the president would “fully resource” the war.

Actually, on the campaign trail, Obama spoke mostly of defeating the Tol-e-bon and sending troops into Pok-e-stan, a group and a place I assume have something to do with Pokemon. Anyhow

Yet less than one week ago, Mr. Obama said the following about troop increases: “I’m going to take a very deliberate process in making those decisions. There is no immediate decision pending on resources, because one of the things that I’m absolutely clear about is you have to get the strategy right and then make a determination about resources.” He repeated that on Sunday’s talk shows.

Are we now to understand that he made all those previous declarations and decisions without a strategy he was committed to?Prior to his recent statements, it seemed clear that the president and his advisers had adopted a strategy already—the counterinsurgency one—and that Gen. Stanley McChrystal was tapped precisely because he would implement that plan. The idea, to repeat, was to deploy forces sufficient to clear territory of Taliban threats, hold that territory, and build up the sinews of the country behind that.

No, he made all those previous declarations and decisions based on patronizing voters in an attempt to win an election. He wanted to appear strong on national security, but, now that his hard left base has turned against fighting in Afghanistan, Obama is equivocating.

Americans are now confused and caught somewhere between remembering the president’s insistence on Afghanistan’s importance to U.S. security and rapidly rising pressure from his party to bring the troops home.

Most conservatives/Republicans support what is going on in Afghanistan, which primarily has to do with killing jihadis. We support Obama’s pledge to get Bin Laden, though, that pledge seems to have disappeared like a fart in the wind. We also understand that fighting in Afghanistan and cross border incursions into Pakistan will not end the War on Terrorism. We are simply just killing Islamic extremists, which we can do in many, many, many other places. Until they stop teaching radical Islam, you know, what the Koran actually tells Muslims to do, or kill them all, there will be no end.

So, it begs the question, are more troops necessary, and will they make a difference? Mr. Gelb thinks so. I’m not so sure, since so many of the Islamic extremists, following the word of the Koran, operate out of Pakistan. The mission always seemed to be mostly about killing jihadis, and giving the Afghanistan government a chance to be open and free. It can still happen. But, not if there is waffling leadership from the White House. If any leadership.

Speaking of ’sploding, the AMA is now getting behind the President Obama’s health reform plan, whatever the heck it actually is

The American Medical Assn., after 60 years of opposing any government overhaul of healthcare, is now lobbying and advertising to win public support for President Obama’s sweeping plan — a proposal that promises hundreds of billions of dollars for America’s doctors.

Of all the interest groups that have won favorable terms in closed-door negotiations this year, the association representing the nation’s physicians may have taken home the biggest prizes, including an agreement to stop planned cuts in Medicare payments that are worth $228 billion to doctors over 10 years.

So, it appears that President Obama’s plan, whatever the heck it is, still waiting for even a rough outline after his Wednesday campaign speech, is going to be some sort of political bribe to the AMA. Good to know.
