In another in a long series of swift kicks to Israel and American Jews, the Obama Administration has announced that it is slashing the guest list and budget for its 2009 Hanukkah celebration.

According to the Jerusalem Post the guest list is being cut in half causing some American Jews to wonder if Obama is giving them the cold shoulder… again.

In case no one has been paying attention, President Obama has been slighting Israel and American Jews since before he became president. His pick of Samantha Power, the Palestinian apologist, for his Mid East policy team was a fine example of his obvious disdain for Jews. And she isn’t his only pro-Palestinian adviser.

Of course, were I president I’d cancel Hanukkah entirely. Just as I’d immediately stop any recognition of any other holidays except the officially recognized, Christian holidays of American history and culture. No slight meant to those religious celebrations at all. They just aren’t American unlike Christmas, Easter, and the like are.

In fact, this willy nilly waste of the American taxpayer’s money on these idiotic grand celebrations where 400 guests are pampered at the taxpayer’s expense is entirely obscene. They should all be canceled. This isn’t the gilded age anymore.

Still, it’s disheartening to see Obama constantly jabbing his thumb in the eyes of Jews everywhere. Even though I’d cancel the Hanukkah celebration, I am one of Israel’s best friends. After all, I wouldn’t pick policy advisers that want Israel wiped off the face of the Earth like Obama has!

It’s the new way of doing things. Playing nice with enemies and ditching allies. An art form Barack Obama has perfected in his short time as Agitator In Chief, as he drives his big bus right over Israel

In declaring that it is time for Middle East peace “without preconditions,” President Obama used his speech to the U.N. General Assembly Wednesday to fire a warning at Israel that “America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.”

Obama’s stark declaration, which drew applause, was coupled with a call for Palestinians to end their “incitement of Israel.”

But it was the use of the U.N. forum to carry the settlement message to Israel that drew the most enthusiastic response on the floor — and incredulous reaction outside its walls.

Obama just put Israel “on the chopping block,” said former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton.

This surely thrilled his liberal/progressive base, which see’s Israel as one of the two roots of all problems in the Middle East. The other being America, of course.

Did CNN, MSNBC, ABC, the NY Times, or any of the other Usual Suspects have an issue with what Obama did to Israel? Of course not. They had little to say other than loving words for Obama’s rejoiner. For other real analysis, we have to read the international papers

It’s always a bad sign when a US president gets several rounds of heavy applause at the UN General Assembly, as Barack Obama did this morning in New York. Needless to say, the loudest cheers from the gathering of world leaders came when he condemned the actions of a close US ally, Israel, in continuing to build settlements in the West Bank. You can always rely on attacks on the Israelis to generate the biggest roars of approval at any meeting of the United Nations, and Obama dutifully obliged.

The tale of the tape for Obama at the UN goes something like this:

Threw Israel under the bus

Threw America under the bus

Continued to whine about Booooooooooosh

Made nice nice with scumbag dictators

Threw other allies under the bus

Made empty promises to get tough on nuclear proliferation while symbolically disarming America

Told the world that this is a new America, one which will grovel at the world’s feet

And more campaign style rhetoric

All in all, a day later, this speech was even more pathetic than at first blush.

I’m just straight up stealing The Corner’s headline for John Bolton’s commentary on President Kumbaya’s United Nations speech (via DrewM at Ace of Spades)

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton tells NRO that President Obama’s address to the U.N. was “a post-American speech by our first post-American president. It was a speech high on the personality of Barack Obama and high on multilateralism, but very short in advocating American interests.”

“It was a very naïve, Wilsonian speech, and very revealing of Obama’s foreign policy,” says Bolton. “Overall, it was so apologetic for the actions of prior administrations, in an effort to distance Obama from them, that it became yet another symbol of American weakness in the wake of the president’s decision to abandon missile sites in Poland and the Czech Republic, and his recent manifest hesitation over what to do in Afghanistan.”

“The most significant point of the speech was how the president put Israel on the chopping block in a variety of references, from calling Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegitimate to talking about ending ‘the occupation that began in 1967.’ That implies that he supports going back to 1967 borders,” says Bolton. “Obama has a very tough road ahead. He is frequently taking the side of the Palestinians, who don’t have a competent leader who can make hard decisions and compromises in the future.”

I listened, or, at least, half listened, to most of Barry’s U.N. address, and, while he attempted to add in some “well, you better like us and help us, or I’m telling mommy’s,” it was all about pandering to thugs and dictators. You know, his standard fare.

Three other parts stand out, of the many many nutty things he said

On my first day in office, I prohibited – without exception or equivocation – the use of torture by the United States of America. I ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed, and we are doing the hard work of forging a framework to combat extremism within the rule of law. Every nation must know: America will live its values, and we will lead by example.

First of all, Gitmo is no closer to being closed than when he made the pronouncement that it would be closed within 12 months of January 12, 2009 when he signed the order. Second, a good chunk of the countries represented tend to use torture before they even ask the first question, so, I doubt they were really impressed.

This body was founded on the belief that the nations of the world could solve their problems together.

Not really. It was a way of having the US and USSR snipe at each verbally instead of with weapons.

All of this must support efforts to strengthen the NPT. Those nations that refuse to live up to their obligations must face consequences. This is not about singling out individual nations – it is about standing up for the rights of all nations that do live up to their responsibilities. Because a world in which IAEA inspections are avoided and the United Nation’s demands are ignored will leave all people less safe, and all nations less secure.

Now, Barry may have been speaking specifically about nuclear weapons, but, if memory serves, Iraq refused to live up to their obligations, including IAEA inspectors, and faced the consequences of 17 UN resolutions, culminating in 1441, authorizing the use of force, which, if memory serves, Barry gave a speech against and refused to vote to fund. How ’bout dat!

Yesterday, I mentioned that Germany has pledged it will walk out on Mahmoud during his speech if he goes into his typical Holocaust denial and Jew hatred modes, and was urging other E.U. countries to do the same. Now, Canada goes a step further

Canada will boycott Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech at the United Nations on Wednesday, saying his outbursts about the Holocaust and Israel are “shameful.”

Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon will be at the world body to attend the opening of the UN General Assembly’s annual debate, but officials signal he and other members of the Canadian delegation will vacate the Canadian seats when the Islamic republic’s President approaches the podium.

Walking out of the chamber is seen as a strong diplomatic show of disgust at the UN — and since the chamber is generally packed on the first day of the annual summit, Canada’s empty seats will not go unnoticed.

One of the first speakers of the day will be U.S. President Barack Obama, who is making his debut address before the assembly.

“President Ahmadinejad’s repeated denial of the Holocaust and his anti-Israel comments run counter to the values of the UN General Assembly, and they’re shameful,” said one Canadian official.

“He uses his public appearances to provoke the international community, and that is why Canada’s seats will be empty.”

Yeah, go Canada! Perhaps DHS should stop testing their new super duper patrol boat on Canadian shores.

So, what of the U.S. delegation? Anyone expect them to walk out? Me neither. That would make Obama’s conditionless talks, at least from his side, with Iran rather difficult.

Instead of killing terrorists, we free them.

Instead of relentlessly hunting Islamist madmen, we seek to appease them

Instead of acknowledging that radical Islam is the problem, we elected a president who blames America, whose idea of freedom is the right for women to suffer in silence behind a veil — and who counts among his mentors and friends those who damn our country or believe that our own government staged the tragedy of September 11, 2001.

The Ayatollah Khameini needs anti-Americanism. He won’t let Obama take it away

Long before his inauguration, Barack Obama lucidly explained how he would deal with Iran. During the campaign he said he would “engage” its leaders by offering talks without preconditions—without even asking them to stop chanting “death to America” when concluding their speeches…

There was only one more step before “engagement” could begin: Mr. Obama’s June 4 Cairo speech in which he apologized for the August 1953 overthrow of Iran’s Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddeq. “In the middle of the Cold War,” he said, “the United States played a role in the overthrow of a democratically elected Iranian government.” The CIA was certainly involved, but the cringing was quite unnecessary. By August 1953 Mosaddeq had dismissed Iran’s parliament and was ruling undemocratically by personal decree. When angry mobs converged on his residence, he fled to a U.S. aid office next door trusting that the Americans would save his life. They did.

As it happened, Mr. Obama’s apology and his offer of unconditional talks backfired. With Iran’s presidential selection of June 12 coming up, the all-powerful Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had his opportunity to replace the thoroughly unpresentable, loudly extremist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with a more plausible negotiating partner for Mr. Obama… Evidently, Mr. Khamenei rejected the option of choosing a moderate. Instead he awarded Ahmadinejad a “divine” win with wildly improbable majorities—even in the home towns of his rivals.

Mr. Obama’s problem is that Mr. Khamenei could only have chosen Ahmadinejad because he does not want friendly talks with the U.S. He evidently calculates that without the ideology of “anti-Americanism” the regime would collapse. He is right.

Certainly religious support cannot be enough anymore. Too many high-ranking clerics, including Grand Ayatollahs Hosssein Ali Montazeri and Yusef Saanei, now publicly oppose the regime. Nor can Persian nationalism serve as the prop: Its chief target is the despised Arabs, which is problematic, as the regime keeps trying to be more Arab than the Arabs in its hostility to Israel. Yet this hostility is itself a problem internally because the regime’s generous funding of Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad is extremely unpopular in Iran. Only anti-Americanism is left, and Mr. Khamenei will not let Mr. Obama take it away.

What do you get when a left-wing magazine catering to self-hating Jews features one of the most unhinged moonbats in Hollywood? This:

From Heeb’s bizarre puff piece on the shrill leftist Roseanne Barr, who thinks she might be the reincarnation of Hitler:

As the “Domestic Goddess” dons the famous moustache, transforming into “Domestic Goddess Hitler,” I notice that she’s beginning to have fun. She nails the Fuehrer’s facial expressions with twisted glee, and as she takes the burnt gingerbread “Jew Cookies” out of the oven it occurs to me that Barr may be the last celebrity utterly incapable of giving a {EXPLETIVE DELETED} …

When the photographer suggests that we pose together for a quick snapshot, I put my arm around this slightly eccentric drinker and pot smoker who gets off on dressing like a Nazi, and it dawns on me: I adore her. No-touching protocol be damned, I lean in to plant a kiss on her cheek, and, to my surprise, she turns toward me and puckers her lips. The nerves I’m feeling now are of a completely different variety.

If you can make sense of this insanity, you can probably explain how Hamas’ choice for President got 77% of the Jewish vote.

Perhaps you have read that Obama has asked his national security team to investigate the claims of human rights violations in Afghanistan by Allied Forces against Taliban. The short story is, there is a group claiming that we put 2000 Taliban in a railroad container to move them somewhere, they suffocated and we buried them in a mass grave. All this happened in 2001. You can read that story here. Now, the following is the rest of the story.

Obama’s Surgeon General Pick…Finally No Controversy! Wait…Better Think Again

by Holger Awakens

Let’s face it….all seemed so innocent yesterday as we saw Regina Benjamin nominated as Surgeon General of the United States by Barack Hussein Obama…here was this rural doctor from Alabama, this champion of non-profit healthcare…a doctor who herself was a victim of Hurricane Katrina. Well folks, what I have found out about our President is this – nothing is innocent and nothing isn’t calculated. It’s all about pieces of a jigsaw puzzle fitting into the finished product and quite frankly, more and more Americans are waking up to the fact that the finished product is uglier than sin. We might just come to understand why Regina Benjamin runs a “non profit” clinic. It took a little digging into some facts about Regina Benjamin but I couldn’t quite understand the following:

Why is a rural doctor from the poorer section of Alabama connected to President Obama’s shocking announcement this past weekend that he will investigate U.S. involvement in the alleged mass murder of Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan in the early days of the War in Afghanistan?

I know, you think that I’ve finally lost it here, don’t you? haha Well, let me try and connect the dots for you. First off, from the article at Yahoo News, let’s take a glance at this rags to riches story of Dr. Benjamin:

Pushed by the need in her own shrimping community of Bayou La Batre, Ala., and its diverse patient mix — white, black and, increasingly immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos — Benjamin, 51, has emerged as a national leader in the call to improve health disparities. She became the first black woman and the first doctor under age 40 elected to the American Medical Association’s board of trustees, and in 2002 became the first black woman to head a state medical society.

Impressive, to say the least. However, not every organization that Regina Benjamin belongs to was included in that Yahoo article or the White House press releases. From the Fox News article, we find that Dr. Benjamin has held another seat of authority:

She also serves on the Board of Physicians for Human Rights

Okay, I meant to put up a Wikipedia reference to that fact that Benjamin is on the board of Physicians for Human Rights but from the time last night when I noticed it at Wiki til this morning, that information has mysteriously (or conveniently) been deleted from the Wikipedia information. So, since Regina Benjamin serves in such a high capacity at Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), I decided to find out more about that organization.

I invite you to view the home page of Physicians for Human Rights here and after viewing that home page, I ask you…does that organization not resemble the most radical of activist groups in America? I mean, for pete’s sake, that home page looks like something you’d find at Code Pink or one of the anarchist sites! You notice all of the calls to expose President Bush and Vice President Cheney’s role in the Afghanistan incident from years ago? And the light went on over my head. I decided to pull up the news story from Fox News that I cited just yesterday in the story of how Obama shockingly has reversed course and decided to investigate the U.S. role in the alleged massacre of 2,000 Taliban prisoners by the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan back in 2001. I knew I had seen the organization, Physicians for Human Rights, mentioned there..or at least thought I had seen it and lo and behold, I saw it here:

Reacting to the interview, Physicians for Human Rights hailed Obama’s decision.
“President Obama is right to say that U.S. and Afghan violations of the laws of war must be investigated,” said Nathaniel Raymond, a Physicians for Human Rights researcher. “If the Obama administration finds that criminal wrongdoing occurred in this case, those responsible — whether American or Afghan officials — must be prosecuted.”

Okay. Take a deep breath, because I’m not done yet. We have just seen how the newly nominated Regina Benjamin sits on the board, in a position of highest authority, at Physicians for Human Rights. And, we now have seen where that organization is calling for the prosecution of any American officials responsible for the 2001 alleged incident in Afghanistan (I’m assuming most of us have inserted “Bush/Cheney” in place of “officials”). So you have to be asking yourself just why this Physicians for Human Rights organization seems so radical….doesn’t their mission seem a bit too….oh, how should I put it….political?

Hold on to your chairs as we look at the dude that founded Physicians for Human Rights. The gentleman’s name is Dr. Jonathan Fine. Now, Dr. Fine is retired but I want you to look at this from the PHR site that describes the mantra of this organization:

Dr. Fine also led investigations into the massive use of tear gas in South Korea and chemical weapons against Kurds in Iraq. Under his tenure, PHR documented human rights violations in Colombia, El Salvador, the Balkans, Israel and the West Bank, and Iraq following the Persian Gulf War.

Okay, look at that more closely with me:

1. PHR looked into violations made by South Korea, not North Korea
2. PHR looked into human rights violations in Colombia but not Venezuela or Cuba
3. PHR addressed human rights violation in Israel but not in Gaza, Saudi Arabia or Syria
4. PHR investigated violations of human rights in Iraq AFTER the Persian Gulf War but has not investigated human rights violations in Iran, Pakistan, China or Russia

So, you could ask me, why are you spending so much time on this, Holger? Because I have determined that every single appointment, every single decision and every single action taken by our new President in the past six months can be linked to his furthering a Socialist/Marxist agenda for America. This woman, Regina Benjamin, stood up in front of the press corps yesterday, supposedly with this down home all-American image and the whole time the American people did NOT get to see her for what she is…she is a radical activist in the movement of Socialism in this country – she helps direct an organization that demanded that Barack Obama do its bidding and he did. This is an alliance between a front group of radical activism and the head of our government.

Barack Hussein Obama. A President who has now used the post in America most associated for watching out for the health and welfare of American citizens to further his socialist agenda.

Over the last few weeks dozens of Iranians yearning for a more democratic government, striving to beat back the oppressive Mullahs, desperate to live free, have been killed in the streets of Iran during democratic protests. In China Uighurs and members of the religious sect Falun Gong are constantly attacked, imprisoned, tortured and killed for their ethnicity or beliefs by Chinese officials. Not long ago Buddhist Monks were killed by police for their protests in the streets of Myanmar. And on a nearly daily basis, members of the Taliban are killing villagers for not observing their oppressive rule in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

We live in times of violent protests tearing at some of the most oppressive governments in the world. And so, Australia’s ABC fielded a report about one “violent” protest experienced by one of its own reporters. Was it murderous Islamists attacking villagers? How about Chinese thugs killing ethnics? Perhaps it was an Iranian Mullah ordered massacre of citizens wanting democracy that frightened her so much?

Uh, no. It was Orthodox Jews that spit on her.

That’s right, of all the true violence being rained down upon citizens yearning to live free, wishing to have a say in their own governments, ABC thought that it was of far more interest to denounce some Orthodox Jews that are mad at violations of the Shabatt in Jerusalem.

For ABC, Middle East reporter Anne Barker filed a July 7 report about her feeling “humiliated and degraded” as she attempted to cover a protest organized by Orthodox Jews that are upset that a parking lot for non-Jewish tourists is being staffed and operated during the Shabatt, a day when Orthodox Jews believe it to be sacrilegious for work to be done.

The ridiculous thing of it is, the most she could say was that she was spit on (quite a lot, actually) during the protest. With people being murdered in the streets across the world for participating in protests, this woman was all upset at being spit at.

Oh, but she’s scarred for life, she is:

Suddenly the crowd turned on me, screaming in my face. Dozens of angry men began spitting on me.

Spit like rain

I found myself herded against a brick wall as they kept on spitting – on my face, my hair, my clothes, my arms.

It was like rain, coming at me from all directions – hitting my recorder, my bag, my shoes, even my glasses.

Big gobs of spit landed on me like heavy raindrops. I could even smell it as it fell on my face.

Somewhere behind me – I didn’t see him – a man on a stairway either kicked me in the head or knocked something heavy against me.

I wasn’t even sure why the mob was angry with me. Was it because I was a journalist? Or a woman? Because I wasn’t Jewish in an Orthodox area? Was I not dressed conservatively enough?

In fact, I was later told, it was because using a tape-recorder is itself a desecration of the Shabbat even though I’m not Jewish and don’t observe the Sabbath.

Yeah. I’m heartsick for your plight, sister.

So, she was spit on a bit. Meanwhile, Neda Agha Soltan was gunned down by Iranian thugs for having been in the streets during a protest there.

With all the protests around the world filled with common people desperate for freedom flooding into the streets and being murdered and beaten by oppressive government thugs, this is the story that ABC thinks is worth promoting? Does ABC know what news is? Does ABC think that a few rioting Jews is just as newsworthy as murderous Iranian dictators?

I think I’d take being spat upon like Anne Barker was in Jerusalem as opposed to experiencing what Neda did by being shot down like a rabid dog on the streets of Tehran. Which do you think is more harrowing?
