By Sharon Sebastian — Website: www.DarwinsRacists.com

On the tenth anniversary of 9/11, we mourn our losses. We mourn the loss of fellow Americans who died at the hands of a sworn enemy and we mourn the loss of those in the ranks of our military who have since fought a righteous fight to protect us from that enemy.

In a weekly radio address, President Barack Obama called for unity as the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001 draws near: “We were united,” said the President, “and the outpouring of generosity and compassion reminded us that in times of challenge, we Americans move forward together, as one people.” Obama’s words are a brazen reminder of how far apart on ideas and ideals most Americans are from the current government. Americans recognize that it is the Obama government itself that has created “times of great challenge” that threaten our nation’s safety and sovereignty.

On 9/11, terrorists attacked our people and our nation. Knowing who the enemy was, and still is, is itself a uniting force in the battle to protect this great nation. Once in office and well-knowing that extremist Muslim terrorists were behind the attacks, overt efforts were made to diffuse public awareness. The Obama administration attempted to rename terror attacks as “man-caused disasters” and classify the global war on terror as “Overseas Contingency Operations.” Failure to identify one’s enemy unifies no one. 9/11 survivors well know who their attackers were. Osama Bin Laden proclaimed on video tape that his terrorist group Al Qaeda carried out the 9/11 attacks.

The Obama White House has issued guidelines for the 9/11 ceremonies. Al Qaeda’s threat is to be downplayed and the impact of America’s 9/11 tragedy is to be diminished by equating it with all other terrorists’ attacks globally. What will go unmentioned by Obama is that the Muslim Brotherhood, that is making power gains in Egypt and the Middle East, is allied with Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah and the jihadists. An earlier affront to and “de-unification” of the American people came when Obama tried to transport accused terrorists, housed at Guantanamo Bay, into our American cities and courts to grant them the same Constitutional rights allowed for U.S. citizens. Americans stood “united” and stopped the outrageous proceedings by Obama and his Justice Department. The first step in Obama’s reunification should be to call the enemy what it is — terrorists.

What cannot be overstated in the healing and reunification of America, after the 9/11 attacks, was the importance of prayer. Prayer and the call to God to protect and guide the nation were at the heart, the core, of bringing Americans together with compassion and determination. This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian faith and principles. Today, a reported 95% of Americans are people of faith in various religions. Yet, prayer and clergy have been banished from the 9/11 state run day of remembrance by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. By eliminating God, the state steps into the role of God with its ceremonies devoid of prayer. Politicos will direct attention to themselves as the guiding lights of national healing, looking to reflect a god-like glow as benevolent caretakers of the masses.

Historically, Socialist/Fascist regimes that diminished God and circumvented clergy began in seemingly benign ways. Today, faith is under siege in America. (See: Christian Purge – The Obama Factor: http://darwinsracists.com/book/?p=155). Politicians supplanting prayer with their own verbiage and public spectrum, lessens us as a nation. A major factor in America’s exceptionalism is that America is the preeminent nation in the world that turns to God and prayer for healing and guidance. America may elect an Obama or a Bloomberg, but it does not worship them. The current American President and Mayor of New York will ceremoniously memorialize “sacred” ground and memories of our lost as long as God is excluded despite the fact that “sacred” by its very definition means “connected with God.” To misconstrue an ambiguous moment of silence as “sacred” is itself a sacrilegious dodge. Public office is transient and any glory derived from it is short-lived. These politicians may learn that what really “unites” Americans is political leaders going against the people’s will by imposing state censure on religious expression. The ban on clergy should immediately be reversed.

Presidents nor mayors can separate God from His people. So, there will be prayer, there will be open tribute to their Creator by the faithful across the nation for the healing and “unifying” of this great nation on this important day of remembrance. May God bless the survivors, the families, our first responders and our military warriors. May God bless America as long as its people know that those blessings come from the Creator God and not from transitory politicians.

Well, let’s get the ball rolling on another broken promise from The One, Barack Hussein Obama, shall we? I mean, every time we think we are done chronicling his broken promises we have to do a reset. He’s had so many gutter balls on this that it is hard to keep them straight. His record has had strike after strike in the lies column. He’s the veritable kingpin of broken promises.

Let’s take this one from 2008:

I have sworn that we’re taking out the bowling alley in the White House and we’re putting in a basketball court.

Three years later, he hasn’t. More on that below.

The anti-bowler in chief, you might recall, has had a few bowling problems both in his march to the White House, not to mention once he got fairly in office.

During that late campaign for president, our bad Brunswickian proved to be a rotten bowler. Not only did he throw several gutter balls but he only got a horrid 37 score. A ten-year-old could do better than that.

Of that momentous score, late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel said, “I bowled a 37 when I was a baby. And I was drunk, by the way.”

Our Prez to be turned out to be a guttersnipe, it appeared.

Then, in 2009 you might recall Obama’s other bowling handicap. In an appearance on the Leno show, the gutter-baller in chief really went into the gutter with a bad joke about mentally challenged, Special Olympics participants.

The exchange went like this:

“I bowled a 129,” he told Leno.

“That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno said sarcastically.

But then came the foot-in-mouth moment: “It’s like the Special Olympics or something,” the president said.

Obama was forced to apologize for his comments before the show even aired!

So, what is his latest Bowling Bash? Well, harken back to our first part where the Presidential Pin Head promised to take out the bowling alley that Harry Truman built in the basement of the White House? Yeah, well he never did.

In fact, he’s been using it for fundraising!

As Devin Dwyer of ABC News reports:

Just over three years later, the basement bowling alley President Truman installed in 1947 is still there -– and apparently being put to good use.

At least 230 visitors to the White House during May came for the express purpose of bowling, according to visitor logs released today.

In fact, the underground alley was used every day of the month, except five – May 14, 16, 18, 21 and 22.

On two days, May 15 and 23, the visitor entries indicate “bowling party.”

Yep, just another broken promise. Even as he’s leading from the back of the bench on this he’s breaking promises.

Good thing he’s made good on so many other promises though. Why he’s shut down Guantanamo, repealed the Bush tax rates, signed the Employee Free Choice Act, allowed importation of prescription drugs, converted the entire White House auto fleet to electric vehicles, he’s doubled the size of the Peace Corps, He’s prevented lobbyists from joining his administration, instituted cap and trade and….

Oh, wait. He didn’t fulfill any of those promises, either.

Ooops.

Did you know that a suspected Somali terrorist was sneaked into a U.S. criminal court in New York City over the July 4th holiday? Most people don’t. While we were all distracted by celebrating our Independence Day President Obama was sneaking foreign terrorists into our civil court system instead of taking him to Guantanamo.

A few weeks ago, Reuters reported that Somali terrorist Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame was brought to New York City to face criminal charges in our home-based court system on July 4th, yet.

Warsame was captured in April in the Gulf region and was held aboard a U.S. Naval ship until July being questioned by the military and the FBI.

The Obama administration did not tell the American people ahead of time that a terrorist was being placed in our civil court system. This is precisely the situation that the Guantanamo facility was created to prevent. Our court system couldn’t put murderers like Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson away but Obama is going to start bringing terrorists into our homeland and into our deeply flawed courts?

Even left leaning Senator Susan Collins* (R, MA) thought this was a bad idea. “A foreign national who fought on behalf of al Shabaab in Somalia – and who was captured by our military overseas – should be tried in a military commission, not a federal civilian court in New York or anywhere else in our country,” Collins said in a statement.

A week after Obama and his Dept. of Justice sneaked terrorist Warsame into New York City, 23 senators registered their alarm by sending a letter to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.

“We are very concerned that this policy appears to be a circumvention of the clear intent of many in Congress that terrorists captured abroad under the Authorization for Use of Military Force should not be brought into the United States for trial,” wrote the senators, led by John McCain of Arizona, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Senate Republican leader.

As I said, the Guantanamo Bay facility was created specifically to keep foreign terrorists off American soil yet here is Obama using the cover of a holiday to sneak a terrorist into our civil courts? It truly is an “intolerable situation,” as Collins said.

Is this what we are to expect, then? For Obama to start depositing one terrorist after another right on America’s homeland? All without notice to us that this is what he is doing?

Who doesn’t bet that most of these people will be acquitted and then let go free right here in our own backyards? After all, U.S. Criminal courts require a far stricter burden of proof than military trials do. Worse, much of the proof that the CIA or FBI finds on a terrorist will not be allowed in court for fear that it will hurt national security and in that case much of the real evidence will go unsaid in the courtroom.

So, essentially, Obama is setting up a situation where foreign terrorists will be allowed to roam free right here at home because the government will most likely fail to convict them.

First Obama has tried his hardest to destroy our economy. Now he’s bringing terrorists to roam our country at will. Who is this man working for, anyway? It sure as heck ain’t the U.S.!

*(As an aside, I find it amusing that most of Maine is so out of touch with high speed Internet service that the Senator’s webpage has a welcome page where you can pick which sort of service you have: “high speed,” or “low speed.” For those unaware, the upper half of Maine may as well be the wilderness. There are few roads, few cell phone towers, heck, even their power comes from the Canadian grid and not our own!)

So says cheerleader Alexandra, sorry, Alexander Burns at The Politico

So much for campaigning against Jimmy Carter.

In the aftermath of Osama bin Laden’s death, Republicans are adjusting to a new political reality: with the bin Laden trump card now in President Barack Obama’s possession, it’s looking increasingly likely the 2012 campaign will ride on a single number—the national unemployment rate.

Anyone remember mentioning Carter’s failed hostage rescue as a comparison to Obama, except as an afterthought? Yeah, me neither. The comparisons mostly revolve around rising gas prices, rising food prices, rising consumer goods prices, a stagnant economy, pervasive high unemployment, reckless spending, low consumer confidence, and tone deafness to the wishes of the American public. Oh, and a terrible foreign policy, which reduces the role of America in international politics.

The same hail of bullets that tore through the terrorist leader’s compound appears to have cut through the GOP’s desired narrative for the presidential election, at least temporarily dispelling the image of Obama as a weak-kneed pushover. And that leaves the economy as the president’s single major point of vulnerability.

Wait, I thought it was the unemployment rate? Much like Obama himself, Alexander Burns is jumping all over the place. But, Burns is right in that this is temporary, unless the economy shores itself up by next summer. And, isn’t that whole “hail of bullets…cut through the GOP’s desired narrative” rather violent rhetoric, which could lead to assaults against Republicans?

Anyhow, much of the rest of the article is about how Republicans are suddenly no longer able to take the national security banner because Obama gave an order and watched for 40 minutes

“People like to see a pattern of sustained leadership,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, head of the American Action Forum and a former adviser to John McCain. “Remember, for every one of these [victories], he’s got, ‘Explain the Libya flip-flop.’ It’s not like he’s nailed down the foreign policy profile and owned that completely.”

Still, Holtz-Eakin said, the bin Laden killing is likely to stand out as a monumental achievement for Obama in an election focused “primarily on his record as a steward of the economy.”

Look, I’m not going to take anything away from Obama giving the “GO!” order: it was a big decision, and he made the right call. Yet, it’s not just the Libyan issue, which has mostly disappeared from the news (cause it makes Obama look bad): it’s how long it took him to get involved in the Egypt issue, it’s ignoring the Green uprising in Iran, watching hundreds of protesters being killed in Syria, attempting to prosecute KSM and other terrorists in civilian court near the former site of the WTC, ticking off our allies and pandering to enemy nations, and, for Left side voters, failing to close Guantanamo Bay, targeted killings, still in Iraq, escalating the Afghanistan war, renditions, and all the other things Bush did that Obama still does. But, yes, it will mostly be about the economy….well, for voters in the know: Obama supporters would still vote for him if the unemployment rate was 15% and inflation was going through the roof. Because he gives good speeches or something.

-By Warner Todd Huston

Remember those hoary days of raucous protest when anti-war protesters sent thousands of people into the streets sometimes with only a days notice? Now consider this: have you seen any of these giant protests since 2008 presidential election?

Yeah, no one else has, either. Do you wonder why that is? Well, it’s because the anti-war movement was nothing else but a hypocritical proxy issue used solely to get rid of President Bush and the Republicans. It was never about war at all. At this point this is an indisputable fact.

These days the anti-war movement cannot put more than a few dozen people in the street for its cause — which itself is little else but a proxy issue for the implementation of a worldwide socialist state.

Obviously it was never about “war.” It was just about Bush. After all, from the perspective of the issues and claims made against the Bush war policies by the anti-war left, Obama is not doing a whole lot differently in his foreign policy than did Bush.

The left wanted us to shut down Gitmo. Not only are we still there but Obama signed an Executive Order to close Gitmo then just simply ignored his own one-year deadline to do so. Yet, the anti-war left says nothing.

We are still in Iraq despite Obama’s promises to be completely out six months after he became president. Yet, the anti-war left says nothing.

We’ve actually increased the number of troops in Afghanistan. Yet, the anti-war left says nothing.

Obama has even wildly increased the number of predator drone attacks in a wide “death from the skies” policy. Yet, the anti-war left says nothing.

The so-called anti-war movement is filled with partisan hypocrites. There is no other conclusion that can be reached on the subject.

Lastly, where is the focus on the anti-war left that the Old Media constantly indulged during Bush’s years in office? The media was so exercised about the anti-war left that it was even claimed that the anti-war movement was the “third world power” it was so powerful. This was obvious, wild-eyed hyperbole, we know now and knew then. But the fact is that the media was desperate to help get rid of Bush and the Republicans and the so-called power of the anti-war left was merely a vehicle to do so. Now that Bush is gone and quite despite the fact that none of the issues, policies, or facts on the ground have changed in any of the wars we are involved in the media is completely quiet about the anti-war movement.

Simple hypocrisy. That is all it is.

Obviously, this has gotten Barack Obama all riled up

President Barack Obama forcefully declared his support Friday for U.S. civilian trials of Guantanamo detainees, pledging to overturn language in a sweeping defense bill that would effectively block such trials anytime soon.

“The prosecution of terrorists in federal court is a powerful tool in our efforts to protect the nation and must be among the options available to us,” the president said. “Any attempt to deprive the executive branch of that tool undermines our nation’s counterterrorism efforts and has the potential to harm our national security.”

Yes, he did make this whiny assessment while signing the same legislation. I’d love to hear the details in support of his deranged talking point.

The law prohibits the use of Defense Department dollars to transfer suspected terrorists held at the U.S. Navy prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to the United States, where they could be tried in civilian court. That effectively prevents any such transfer during the period covered by the legislation – the 2011 fiscal year that runs through September.

And you can bet the GOP led House will do the same for fiscal year 2012, and 2013, with the 2013 one coming right ahead of the 2012 elections. Let’s see Obama attempt to complain about it then.

Obama’s comments drew a swift rebuke from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

“The American people strongly oppose the president’s goal of transferring these terrorists to the United States for trial and detention. And there is overwhelming bipartisan opposition in the Congress as evidenced by the legislation the president signed Friday,” McConnell said. “When it comes to terrorism, we should err on the side of protecting the American people.”

Obama could care less what the majority of Americans want. He wants his power for power sake, and he loves the idea of trying hardcore Islamic terrorists in civilian court, for whatever reason.

All in all, Obama learned that being president is haaaaawd! One of his first acts was to say they were going to shut Gitmo down within a year. He had a Democrat Congress to support him, and, almost two years later, it’s still open. Of course, this is pretty much what we said would happen, since Obama had no actual leadership experience.

Remember when the first thing Obama did as president was play golf sign an executive statement calling for the closing of Guantanamo Bay jihadi detention center, then want to hold civilian trials for most jihadis, including near Ground Zero? Remember how Democrat lawmakers hailed this? How’s that working out?

Congress on Wednesday passed legislation that would effectively bar the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the U.S. for trial, rejecting pleas from Obama administration officials who called the move unwise.

A defense authorization bill passed by the House and Senate included the language on the offshore prison, which President Barack Obama tried unsuccessfully to close in his first year in office.

Well, he didn’t actually try very hard, because things got in the way, like golf, parties, fundraisers, and, let’s face it, a lack of knowledge of how to be a leader.

The measure for fiscal year 2011 blocks the Department of Defense from using any money to move Guantanamo prisoners to the U.S. for any reason. It also says the Pentagon can’t spend money on any U.S. facility aimed at housing detainees moved from Guantanamo, in a slap at the administration’s study of building such a facility in Illinois.

Obviously, this must be the Republicans fault, since they control Congress…..no? They don’t? Interesting.

At a news conference Wednesday, the president expressed renewed desire to close Guantanamo, saying it has “become a symbol” and a recruiting tool for “al Qaeda and jihadists.” “That’s what closing Guantanamo is about,” he said, adding: “I think we can do just as good of a job housing [detainees] somewhere else.”

Uh huh. It’s campaign style talking points like that that highlight that Obama has learned virtually nothing during his almost two years as POTUS. He actually said that Gitmo was “probably the No. 1 recruitment tool for terrorist propaganda.” How often do we hear about Gitmo from jihadi propaganda? Virtually never. They’ve actually taken up one of the Left’s favorite religions, globull warming, and blame the USA.

Anyhow, obviously the Left is livid about this. Talk Left goes on a conspiracy theory rant about moving the jihadis to secret prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Senator Mark Kirk (R, IL) is raising a red flag over the defense bill because the Democrat led House of Representatives and Democrat led Senate has slipped in a provision that would allow accused terrorists to be housed in prisons in the interior of the United States.

In an apparent effort to get around the President’s decision to ignore his own deadline to shut down the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba terrorist detention facility, the Democrat leadership included the provision in order to give terrorists and detainees in Guantanamo a place to go so that the Cuba-based facility can eventually — and sooner rather than later — be shut down.

Senator Kirk blew the whistle on this horrible idea and vowed to put a hold on the defense bill until that part gets stripped. Kirk appeared on Chicago’s WLS radio and told hosts Don and Roma why he wanted to put the bill on hold.

“In late breaking news last night, the Democratic leadership may be trying to bring Guantanamo Bay terrorists to the United States. They’ve inserted language in the defense bill that would then give the president the ability to transfer Guantanamo terrorists to the continental United States. That has a direct impact on Illinois where they could come to the Thomson facility. Also remember, the moment they come to the United States, a whole wrath of new legal procedures and abilities attached to them and after we saw the near disaster of the first civilian trial of a terrorist in New York, I think this is another last gasp of majority leader Reid which needs to be defeated,” Kirk said.

Kirk said that this move would weaken national security and reminded listeners that senior Taliban leader Mullah Zakir has already been released by the U.S. He said Zakir’s release shows us that more actual terrorists could easily be released and if they are in prisons inside the U.S. that means they could be released right inside our heartland.

Kirk is so right on this, too. Imagine how our fetid court system will do with multiple trials for terrorists being held inside the U.S.A.? Who does not doubt that cases will “conveniently” fall apart due to incompetence and activist, left-wing judges? If we see these terrorists transferred to facilities inside the U.S. it won’t be long before at least some of these dangerous enemies will be wandering free in our communities and left to plan their next murderous actions right here at home.

Above all, moving terrorists to U.S. prisons would automatically bestow upon these foreign enemies all the rights afforded to American citizens by the Constitution of the United States. This would necessarily happen because these terrorists would be winding their way through our civil and criminal court systems and our legal system has no provision for “terrorists” ensconced in it. The only way for these terrorists to be able to appear before an American civil or criminal court is for the accused to be afforded all our rights. Our legal system isn’t set up any other way.

In any case, Senator Kirk did the country a service to alert us all to this calamitous move by the Democrats.

Politico has a delicious story detailing how lefty bloggers seem to be on the outs with the Obama administration over their constant stream of complaints unleashed about the president’s lack of supplication to the most extreme left-wing policies.

Politico found Peter Daou, another “progressive” blogger, who thinks he knows why Deputy White House Press Sec. Bill Burton didn’t name any left-wing bloggers along with his absolving of some of MSNBC’s hectoring on-air talkers.

Daou recently wrote a post hyperbolically titled, “How a Handful of Liberal Bloggers Are Bringing Down the Obama Presidency” exploring the idea. In it the blogger slams his own, claims that other lefty bloggers are tearing down the president among the progressives, and says it is damaging the administration.

“With each passing day, I’m beginning to realize that the crux of the problem for Obama is a handful of prominent progressive bloggers, among them Glenn Greenwald, John Aravosis, Digby, Marcy Wheeler and Jane Hamsher.”

I find it highly doubtful that these few bloggers have enough reach to destroy the Obama administration, but Daou isn’t completely wrong in his criticism of the left.

Daou notes that these bloggers, some of whom used to be at the top of the list that White House officials were worried about courting, have gotten so pointed in their criticism that the administration is beginning to tune them out.

So what are these lefty bloggers complaining about?

Most of the bloggers on Daou’s list focus on civil liberties, a topic that they admit falls outside mainstream political discourse. Most recently, they have been united in criticism of the Obama administration’s attempts to target for assassination a U.S.-born Muslim cleric alleged to be leading a brand of Al Qaeda in Yemen. Previously, they have been angered by moves like Obama’s decision to preserve President George W. Bush’s military commission for Guantanamo detainees, rather than try them in civilian court or in courts-martial.

Famed left-wing blogger Glenn Greenwald thinks that the administration is setting the far left up to be the fall guy on which to blame the loss of the coming midterm elections. With the president and vice president both recently telling the left to stop whining, who can blame Greenwald for thinking as he does?

I feel their pain. But I am still giggling at it all.

I have to say, though, that whether my righty friends know it or not, there is indeed a lot of truth to this report. I monitor the lefty blogs myself and they really have been raging for months. While conservatives have been aghast at how far to the extreme left the Obama administration has gone, the real leftists out there feel he hasn’t gone far left enough.

I recently participated in a radio program with a lefty and he was incensed at the failures of the Obama administration. Not closing Gitmo, the recent decision to OK an overseas assassination of an American citizen who is a terror suspect and other civil liberty failings, not to mention the left’s feeling that Obama hasn’t gone far enough to take down the financial sector, the stalling of both cap and trade and card check, and his inability to get a single payer healthcare system all have tried the patience of the extreme left.

So, even as we think this president is the most socialist president ever to sit in the Oval Office the left is still mad because he isn’t left enough. This hectoring being ladled out by the left-wing blogosphere has been virulent enough to turn the administration off, apparently.

So, what is the upshot of this report? The upshot is that the left is not only being dismissed by this administration, it is being ignored and perhaps even set up as a fall guy. This is not to say that the administration is pursuing centrist or moderate policies because it is not. But it does mean that a lefty blogosphere that once had the ear of the president of the United States of America is now on the outside looking in.

Like I said, I feel their pain.

I want to stress again that this deaf ear turned to the lefty bloggers does not mean that the Obama administration is drifting to the center. What this does reveal, though, is that the political climate amenable to far left policies has passed. For nearly a year now the people have been telling their senators and representatives that they don’t want Obamacare, they don’t want the government to take control of the Internet, they don’t want any more Government Motors, any more bailouts, or unions to get big payoffs. Further the people don’t want global warming laws and the continued destruction of the business sector. The left’s window to push through just any old thing is gone.

The truth is that the Obama administration isn’t failing the far left because he does not agree with them. He is failing them because he is simply politically unable to assuage them. His political capital is spent. Obama is just as far left as the most whacked out lefty blogger out there but the political reality is that his extremism has been curbed to some degree by the outrage of the people.

Now we need to send that message home in November!

-By Warner Todd Huston

After the heming and hawing by the Obama administration over whether we should bring terror suspects to trial before military commissions, Obama’s DOJ and DOD finally decided that they could. But once again we see the half-way actions of the Obama administration shining through by the fact that, even as Obama seems to agree with the Bush administration policy of military tribunals for terrorists, the president hasn’t made a single plan on what to do with any of those terrorists after they are convicted.

As the Washington Post euphemistically puts it, “the Defense Department has no written policy on how detainees convicted in military commissions should be housed.” I like that. “Housed.” What the Washington Post was too delicate to say was Obama has made no plans on where to imprison these convicted terrorists of the future.

Obviously the Washington Post decided to use spin rhetoric to soften the ultimate fate of convicted terrorists. A convicted terrorist isn’t “housed,” he’s imprisoned. But the Post didn’t want to link the words “imprisoned” and “terrorists” to Barack Obama, hence the softer, less accurate word “housed.”

In any case, the Obama administration has allowed several military cases against terrorists to proceed, but what will happen if they are convicted? What will the government do with these dangerous people? Sadly, no one knows.

“This is troubling,” said Judge Nancy J. Paul, an Air Force lieutenant colonel, noting that two cases are being heard in commissions this month at Guantanamo Bay. She said “no written plan, no written policy or directive exists” about where to put convicted war criminals here.

This is a dereliction of policy planning that should shock everyone and it shows the practical incompetence of this administration especially in foreign policy and defense.

Then again, if the Obama administration doesn’t plan on actually convicting anyone, perhaps not having a plan on where to “house” the convicted is a meaningless lapse in planning? After all, if you don’t have any convicted terrorists to “house” then who needs to make plans?

Perhaps this is less a lapse in planning then a “tell” on what the administration truly means to do with these terrorists. Perhaps these trials are all for show and not meant to actually convict anyone?
