A remarkable country with exquisite culture holds one of the darkest secrets alive today. Very much a real and disturbing reality; we come to unfold this problem and discuss the problems of the sex trade in this area. In fact, children as young as 5 are being sold as slaves in exchange for sex. A problem that has been around for a while is being made worse by the problems caused by climate change.

Sexual slavery/trade has been around for pretty much all of human history. It is a serious concern, I don’t think there is a need to explain why. Yet, rather than taking on the problem, Warmists subsume it into their cult’s beliefs, and you know you just rolled your eyes and head and said “give me a break” when you read the last line of that excerpt, which takes away for dire need to do something about this serious issue, something the liberal extremists just don’t get.

The sex trade in Cambodia has been around since 1999. The sex trade is happening due to thousands of victims in need of natural resources like food, water and trees. Human trafficking affects 2-3 thousand children and young teens each year. Families are deceived by con artists telling them that their daughters will work for hotels, restaurants, hair salons or complete clerical work in order for them to bring money for their families. Truth is, con artists actually take their daughters into sex industries and force them to have intercourse with older men.

The climate has always changed, and can always cause problems. Does anyone think life would be better during a cool period such as the Little Ice Age? Life on Earth has to take the good with the bad as climate changes according to the whims of the natural world, but, then, if Warmists fessed up and said a changing climate was primarily natural, as history and science shows, they wouldn’t be able to push their far left redistributionist and fascist agendas. They believe that if YOU (not themselves, though, they need their Suburbans to get the kids to soccer practice, drive to work, and pick up wine and cheese for their Organizing for America parties) can be made to drive a Chevy Volt and use CFLs, the Cambodian sex trade would simply disappear. So, they waste time and other people’s money instead of dealing with the actual issue, because the actual issue won’t give lefties the control over people and economies they want.

It looks like Hollywood has not learned the lesson that a graphic rape of a teen girl is not the best recipe for box office sales as this year, yet another rape fantasy film has emerged from the muck and mire of Hollywood in the hopes to assault audiences everywhere.

You may remember back in 2007 when upcoming actress, then a 13-year-old Dakota Fanning, starred in Hounddog, a film in which her character was raped. When the film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, the rape scene elicited actual boos from the audience. Still, the scene was not explicit and the rape itself was not shown on film.

This time, however, Hollywood went from the implied rape of a 13-year-old Dakota Fanning, to the graphic rape, bondage, and enslavement of a 13-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz in a new film hitting Sundance titled Hick.

You may remember that Miss Moretz was recently in another controversial film as the foul-mouthed, bad guy-killing character named Hit Girl in the comic book-styled movie Kick Ass (2010).

The film Hick, from a book by the same name written by Andrea Portes, follows the life of 13-year-old girl named Luli, a runaway from negligent parents, as she sets out alone for Las Vegas from her Nebraska hometown.

From recent reviews, it is almost a schizophrenic film starting out as a nice portrait of a precocious teen girl in a coming of age story in the style of Juno. Naturally, this 13-year-old seems older than her age.

One reviewer, however was disturbed by how the girl is constantly sexualized visually. With long flowing, golden hair, and skimpy clothing, Luli is filmed as an object of desire all too often. Also, for at least half the movie, Luli flirts with a 26-year-old character named Eddie giving the film a “will they/won’t they get together” theme.

But then the story goes from road picture to violent rape fantasy as ne’er do well Eddie in his black cowboy hat eventually drags her off into a cornfield and violently rapes the young girl. Worse, in the subsequent scene she awakes tied to a bed and told that she is to be the monster’s sex toy.

In the book, this creep not only rapes the girl and imprisons her but pimps her out to his equally scummy buddies as a prostitute repeating the rape a dozen times over. I am not sure if the movie carries this story line through in this case, but regardless what we have here is a violent, dark, and exploitative story line masked by a wistful coming of age story.

These are the sorts of stories that do nothing to enlighten or entertain. They cater to the worst, darkest impulses in us all. Unfortunately, it is these dark impulses that Hollywood returns to all too often. Hick has not yet found a distributor and let’s hope it doesn’t.

Suicide bomb and gun attacks have hit central Kabul, with a string of blasts targeting the US embassy and at least one death reported in a suicide attack in the west of the Afghan capital.

Gunmen are holed up in a high-rise building overlooking the city centre, exchanging gunfire with police.

Tuesday’s attacks appear to be a complex operation, with a number of suicide bombers targeting Kabul’s upmarket embassy district, while others struck the west of the city, near the parliament. (snip)

Around five attackers are coordinating their operation from the high rise building which is under construction just 300m from the US embassy, correspondents say, with a rocket-propelled grenade apparently overshooting the embassy.

US officials confirmed the attack around the embassy. “There are no casualties at this time among embassy personnel,” said a spokeswoman.

This is the folly of leftists around the world: they think if they are just nice enough, and open a dialogue, they can reason with barbarians. Meanwhile, the barbarians use that time to foment and plan attacks, and have no intention to seek “peace in our time.” These Islamists despise modern culture (though they’re willing to use weapons they couldn’t possibly invent or build), despise Western civilization, and especially despise America for our freedoms and modern lifestyle. They prefer to live like it is 1200 AD, and want to spread their brand of extremist Islam around the world, including notions of women as chattel, stoning women who are involved in adultery, hanging gays, cutting off hands of thieves, and marrying and having sex with children, much as their “prophet” did. Yet, the worldwide left, which always states they are for “civil rights”, gays, women, and such, coddles these same barbarians.

Of course, lefties also refuse to go live in those same areas in order to spread awareness and understanding. Most know they will be treated pretty bad. They’re naive, not complete morons. Well, it could be that they just refuse to give up their fancy dress cocktail parties where they discuss how mean Conservatives are when it comes to these barbarians.

The ACLU, along with an attorney representing the safe house and three sex offenders, has asked a judge to issue a temporary restraining order to prevent the city from evicting the residents.

“The state has asked the residents to leave, and if they don’t leave they will be arrested,” attorney Daniel Wolcott, Jr. told Fox News Radio. Wolcott is representing the owner of the safe house and three sex offenders.

“The safe house has been there for a number of years and has been accepting registered sex offenders who are prohibited from living within 500 feet of a school,” he said.

Wolcott said there are two safe houses in question. One house was operating before the day care center opened for business. The other one was not. However, he said police said any sex offenders living at both houses would have to leave or face arrest.

Kathleen MacRae, the executive director of the Delaware ACLU, told The News Journal that the pending eviction of the sex offenders seems “very unfair and very rushed by the city.”

She pointed out that the ACLU has questions over the actual distance between the homes and the day care center. The ACLU also questioned whether a day care center qualifies as a “school” under state law. The day care center reportedly began operating less than 500 feet from both homes in September.

“It is already difficult for men who have been convicted of a sex offense to find a place to live,” she told the newspaper. “State law should not force these men to move, or prevent facilities like the safe house from housing them, every time a private citizen decides to open a day care center.”

A city spokesman released the following statement to Fox News Radio:

“The City appreciates the predicament faced by the residents of the Harriet Tubman Safe House, but we are following the advice of the Attorney General’s Office and cannot comment further due to the pending court action.” Delaware Attorney General Bo Biden’s office said they will not comment on the matter.

The issue has stirred debate in Wilmington. The News Journal released an editorial that called the sex offender ban unfairly punitive.

“As offensive as the tenants’ crimes are, they paid their debt to society and earned the right to purse law-abiding livelihoods,” the editorial read. “Their home predates the day care center by eight years. This is not to dismiss the fact that even with treatment a high percentage of sex offenders — pedophiles particularly — will recommit their crimes. But a carte blanche banishing of all sex offenders to be on the run every time they have found legally acceptable housing is vindictive, reactionary and no solution.”

It is a sad truth that from coast to coast our departments of children and family service (DCFS) agencies are in disarray. All too often they ill serve the children they are supposed to be helping and they almost always step on the rights of parents without much bothering to give a good reading of the situation before action is taken. The travails of 13-year-old Chloe Faulkner is another such story. Taken from her parents, isolated in a world of faceless bureaucrats, used as a cash cow for state aide, abused, repeatedly raped, and eventually impregnated without her loving parents being given a chance to be heard, this tale is another DCFS/State intervention horror story.

In 2009 Chloe was a 13-year-old, home schooled, bright-eyed girl who had been diagnosed with the serious medical condition of Type 1 diabetes. Like many 13-year-olds she was in a rebellious stage, pushing back at a world of parental rules and the constrictions that her medical condition unfairly imposed upon her. And, like many rebelling teens, Chloe ran away one day, refusing to return home.

Her worried, loving parents involved the police because they feared that young Chloe’s medical condition would make her running away far more dangerous than it might for the average teen. The police found Chloe and brought her home with no incident.

But soon things began to go terribly awry. Because the police were involved the DCFS came knocking at Chloe’s parent’s home. After some interaction between Chloe and the state, DCFS took Chloe away from her home and into state custody under the auspices of a law called MRAI, Minor Requiring Authoritative Intervention (In Illinois it is ILCS705, 405, 3-3-1(a)).

Part of the MRAI laws, give teenagers the right to decide if they want to go home to their parents. In her rebellion, Chloe decided that she didn’t. This gave the state the right to take Chloe away from her parents, exclude parents from the decisions about any treatment given their daughter, and to fully control the girl’s life.

Even though there was no history with Chloe, her parents and DCFS, even though there was no evidence of abuse, no medical emergencies while in the care of her parents, and no evidence that her schooling was lacking, the state allowed a rebellious, naive 13-year-old girl to make the sort of decision that could seriously harm her and send her down a path of abuse. And the worst happened.

Once Chloe was taken away and her parents shut out from being able to help their own daughter, the girl’s life began to get worse by the day.

As the year during which Chloe was forced into the state DCFS system wore on, she was placed in mental health wards –where state money naturally followed her internment — even though there was never any determination that she had mental problems, she was given birth control pills by planned parenthood against her religious parent’s desires, she was sexually exploited by the 20-year-old male friend of a “foster parent” — and was raped three times by this man who lived in the same apartment complex as the foster family — and finally, after getting out of the system, left state custody pregnant.

Chloe’s mother, Shelley, fought long and hard to get her daughter out of this abusive system and is now trying to get people to understand just how dangerous and ill-advised the MRAI laws are.

The state seriously failed young Chloe and fails all too many others. Chloe’s experiences must serve as a warning to us all that we need to seriously overhaul the misdirected DCFS regulations and laws regarding troubled children.

Extremist environmentalists have won yet another victory for propagandizing our children in schools by forcing Scholastic Books to junk a proposed energy-themed classroom education packet that treated the subject in a more even handed mode in favor of a program that only pushes extremist enviro policies. Yes, once again, the hard-core, anti-capitalist left has won a victory to control what our kids are taught in our schools.

As we learn from Commentary Magazine, Scholastic’s energy program has been under attack from the far left for weeks. Mother Jones Magazine, The New York Times, Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, and the group aptly named “Treehugger” have been attacking the children’s book publisher to force them to jettison the proposed series because Scholastic had authored the program in partnership with the American Coal Foundation.

The 4th grade lesson program was built on a larger look at America’s energy products including coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear power along with the so-called green energies of wind and solar power. But the inclusion of traditional (and technologically possible) forms of energy like coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear was enough to send the heads of the radical enviro-wacko’s heads spinning.

The enviro-wackos claimed that this program was an evil attempt at “commercial indoctrination” of kids. This, then, is what caused them to launch their concentrated attack on the publisher. But as Bryan Preston has it closer to the truth. “This is the latest in the left’s campaign against fossil fuels, claiming that providing children any information on coal is commercial indoctrination, worthy of an all out ideological war. But the original lesson packet wasn’t limited to coal, and also included general information on nuclear, hydroelectric power, wind, natural gas and solar energy.”

Sadly, Scholastic has bowed to the pressure of these far-out leftists. Now, instead of a sensible and logical look at America’s energy possibilities Scholastic will give the kiddies a guide written by “expert” Laurie David, the Hollywooder that helped Al Gore write and co-produce his slanted and scientifically dubious film Inconvenient Truth.

As Commentary says, the replacement program is, “filled with alarmism and environmental propaganda, hinting to kids that polar bears and walruses will die if their parents don’t buy hybrid cars or promote ethanol-based fuel.”

The new program even encourages little kids to assault their local politicians with pre-written letters telling them to start enviro-themed programs.

Scholastic has gone from giving kids a dispassionate look at America’s energy policy to using children as political pawns to advance a radical, left-wing, anti-capitalist, environmental policy. Yeah, that’s a good trade off, eh?

All because Scholastic didn’t have the spine to stand up to the radical enviro-lobby.

Folks, we need to take back our education system from the anti-American forces of the left that daily have our children in thrall to far left, anti-American ideals. We ignore this sort of garbage at our own peril. With programs like this flooding into our schools every day it is no wonder we are turning out voters without a clue driving this country toward socialist utopian thinking.

O, what do you get for $500 an hour if you are Northwestern University Professor John Bailey and you’re looking for a new way to teach your class about sex? Apparently you get a live sex show right in the classroom where a woman is impaled with a sex toy jammed on the end of a reciprocating power saw. Nice way to spend university donor’s money, isn’t it?

Professor Bailey and his fist full of university cash paid one Kevin Melvoin-Berg to bring a woman and her “fiance” into the classroom where she was brought to orgasm with the aforementioned powertool turned sex toy. Melvoin-Berg runs a Chicago area touring company called Weird Chicago where customers are taken on a tour of all the strangest places in the city. Those “weird” places include areas where there have supposedly been ghost sightings, 20s era gangland sites, serial killer sites, and old prostitution sites in the city. This multitalented character bills himself as a “psychic detective and ghost hunter,” as well. Yes, he’s just the sort of legitimate expert that a university should turn to in order to teach students about human sexuality, ya know?

Like a good educator, Professor Bailey took the intellectual road to defend his inclusion of live sex shows in his class room, too. As he told the Daily Northwestern,”Sticks and stones may break your bones, but watching naked people on stage doing pleasurable things will never hurt you.”

Oh, this prof is way too intahlekshual for me, I have to say.

Melvoin-Berg and professor Bailey defend their trip down prurient lane, naturally. The students, they say, were all quite enthusiastic about the classroom demonstration. And, why not? After all, they’d have to spend several hundred bucks each themselves to see such a show out in the real world. Extra for the donkey, I’m sure.

But, to get serious for a moment, do we poll “the students” on what they should be learning? Aren’t schools supposed to present a curriculum for students to benefit from, not just “stuff they like”? Aren’t professional educators supposed to have knowledge to impart not just to present salacious “liked” spectacles of prurient interest?

But, let’s face it, Prof Bailey’s entire line of “teaching” is yet another pseudo educational pursuit. I mean, the guy teaches “human sexuality,” fer cripes sakes! That isn’t a useful educational endeavor. It is just more idiotic nonsense like “Gay studies,” or “women’s studies,” or other such junk sciences. It is just more proof of the depths of foolishness that our “institutes of higher learning” have fallen to.

A university degree is no longer worth the paper upon which it is printed and perverts like Professor Bailey are why.

But, maybe our friendly sex peddling Prof is at the cutting edge of the “new” way to educate, after all. It seems that his buddies in the National Education Association has petitioned the United Nations to teach little kids how to masturbate so that way they won’t hate gays… er something. Sadly it looks like our so-called “educators” in America today don;t care much about reading, writing and arithmetic and care more about centerfolds, sex toys, and perversion.

Texas has a parental notification law for abortions. Underage teens are not supposed to be allowed to have the procedure until her parents are made aware of the crisis. Unfortunately, it has been discovered that many abortion mills in Texas are breaking the law and killing the babies of under aged girls without informing parents.

But there are more violations than just that. A three-month-long investigation by a pro-life group has also found that medical records are routinely and illegally destroyed and hazardous medical waste is commonly disposed of illegally.

LifeNews.com reports that Operation Rescue has announced that it has identified several abortion clinics that have violated regulations imposed by the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Operation Rescue finds these violations to be a “widespread crisis of epidemic proportions.”

“The evidence we uncovered of illegal activity reveals a systemic problem throughout Texas that is not confined to one particular clinic or group of clinics,” he explained. “These violations endanger the heath of women, violate the rights of women to be informed and have their medical records protected, and present health hazards to the general public.”

Operation Rescue charges that these violations of parental notification laws tend to hide child molestation.

“We also found disturbing evidence of attempts to evade parental consent laws and child sex abuse reporting laws. This illegal activity endangers the safety and welfare of children throughout Texas,” Newman said.

The investigation also found that many of these abortion clinics are run down and in disrepair and also found half used drugs and human waste illegally thrown away in dumpsters behind many of the clinics.

It isn’t just national issues that the Old Media misreports. As we focus on the “big” stories of the day, we often overlook the local scene and the left-wing excuse for “reporting,” therefrom. This is a perfect example of that.

Imagine you are a sophomore in high school and your sex ed teacher forces you to prance about your classroom singing and dancing to “The Vagina Dance” in a puerile attempt to teach the parts and functions of the female sex organ. Worse, imagine you are a male student in a classroom of such an unhinged teacher? Well, we don’t have to imagine it too hard because this exact situation has happened in a classroom in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs. But don’t worry. Chicago’s Old Media is all about reporting this incident honestly. Well, if honestly means to ignore relevant facts and shore up support for the out of control teacher and smooth things over for the school, that is.

Early this month, parent Robert King, whose son goes to Crystal Lake’s Prairie Ridge High School, complained to school authorities over the inappropriate teaching methods of health teacher Jacqulyn Levin. As a teaching tool Levin used “The Vagina Dance,” a song replete with dance steps and arm movements, and required her entire co-ed class to participate in it – all to the tune of The Hokey Pokey, no less. As it happens King’s son was uncomfortable being required to prance about the room, arms emulating fallopian tubes, and singing about vaginas, so the parents complained.

In response the teacher claimed that her song was nothing but a harmless “kinesthetic device” meant to help the kids learn through “fun.” The Illinois Family Institute, however, begs to differ and called the claim, “a rationalization, an obvious and foolish attempt to conceal the inappropriateness and silliness of the activity with a patina of pedagogical legitimacy” (I love how they used edu-speak against the teacher, too. Kudos to that.)

Fittingly, McHenry County’s Northwest Herald Newspaper dutifully reported on this incident. Unsurprisingly, the paper ignored relevant facts and merely took the word of the school district as fact as the school circled its wagons to protect itself and its teacher. The paper made matters worse by publishing an editorial by Cyndi Wyss, the paper’s Community Editor, that downplayed the father’s concerns and further supported the school. Wyss also ignored relevant facts.

The paper held that “The Vagina Dance” was not really a dance and was not really called “The Vagina Dance.” The paper also did not reveal that other teachers in the past had used this as a vehicle for teaching the female anatomy and had been doing so for several years.

For her part, Wyss proclaimed the whole incident overblown and said that the teacher was “using an educationally appropriate, ease-the-tension tool in her teaching repertoire.”

It is clear that the Northwest Herald took sides in this debate.

But parent Robert King disagrees with the Herald’s position and excoriated its penchant to ignore relevant facts.

The paper says that no one calls the song “The Vagina Dance” except the kids, insisting that the teachers and officials have never called it that. Yet, in emails back and forth between Mr. King and the school’s representatives, the thing was, indeed, called “The Vagina Dance,” and no effort to dissuade anyone from considering it thus was attempted. In fact, the IFI reprinted one of Principal Paul Humpa’s replies and in it he calls it that himself.

Not only that, but the paper also tried to make this song seem isolated to this one teacher’s efforts to find an “ease-the-tension tool” in her class, but King asserts that several teachers have used this “song” and have been doing so for several years — all of them calling it “The Vagina Dance,” by the way.

King’s reply to the skewed editorial can be seen at the Illinois Review.

The issue here is, of course, one of modesty. It is outlandish to force teenagers to dance around pretending to be vaginas, whether they are boys or girls. It is a lack of propriety that we are discussing here. It makes kids uncomfortable and trivializes both the act of education as well as the female reproductive system.

But whatever it is or isn’t the fact is the local newspaper did its level best to create public opinion in order to back up this teacher and the school instead of reporting the actual facts of the case and allowing readers to decide. The Northwest Herald invented the news. It did not report it. This sort of shabby reporting is happening in nearly every state of the union and not just on the big national stories.

In 1997 a Brooklyn teacher was accused of attempting to molest a sixth-grade girl at PS 138. As it happened, he admitted the behavior, but no criminal charges were filed when all was said and done. Still one would think the fact that he inappropriately fondled a teen should be enough to get him fired from his teaching position. But then again, in New York you can’t even fire a child molester if he happens to be a teachers union member.

Thanks to the fact that it is nearly impossible to fire a teacher, this lowlife has been drawing his almost $100,000-a-year salary to do nothing. You heard that right, to do nothing.

You see, even as the union agrees that this pedophile isn’t fit for a classroom, the union still won’t agree to his being fired. So, teacher Roland Pierre sits in a “rubber room” five days a week and does nothing and he’s paid $97,101yearly to do so. And that doesn’t include benefits.

For particulars on the accusations and how the case came out, see the New York Post piece written by Susan Edelman. Suffice to say that it’s the taxpayers getting taken to the cleaners.

Edelman also casually notes that the school system has five other such teachers that have been on the clock but doing nothing for years and at full salary.

For those unaware of what a “rubber room” is, it is an office to which union members report when they are on suspension and/or are under investigation for misconduct. They go to these offices and read newspapers or magazines and sit around drinking coffee and watching TV. They do this while their cases are winding their way through the system before a determination can be made if they are to be fired or returned to the job.

Rubber rooms are not just seen in the New York school system but in many school systems across the country (usually in the larger cities) as well as other union infested industries like the auto industry under the heavy hand of the United Auto Workers (UAW).

The problem with these rubber room policies is that teachers are being paid sometimes for months and other times for years — as in the case of Mr. Pierre – while their cases snail through the system of constant claims, counter claims and arbitration forced on school systems by unions. Sadly, taxpayers across the country are footing the bill for thousands of these union members to sit around in a relaxing climate without having to work day in and day out.

Often it is so hard to fire these people that some of the most outrageous cases of misconduct never sees justice done and teachers fired. Another New York teacher, for instance, actually impregnated a 16-year-old student and a few years later molested two 12-year-olds yet the state still found it impossible to fire him.

Stories just like these in New York also happen in Los Angeles and many other cities.

Sadly, even when it comes to protecting child molesters, our teachers unions only care about the dues money they can pry out of our taxes and making sure that no union member is ever held to account for their behavior.
