(Huffington Post) Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was pressed again Tuesday on one of the ghosts of his political past, when a notorious advertisement on climate change featuring him alongside then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was brought up on the campaign trail.

“The dumbest thing I’ve done in the last four years was sit on a couch with Nancy Pelosi,” Gingrich said, according to The Hill’s Mike O’Brien. “I can’t defend it.”

In the ad, Gingrich and Pelosi share a seat on a sofa in front of the Capitol and declare that “the country must take action to address climate change.”

While Newt is (supposedly) against any sort of federal cap and trade system, he has yet to say, like Romney has, that he would nix any “climate change” legislation and regulations as president. Some people may not care too much about this, but, to my mind, the entire issue of “climate change” is about putting even more power and forcibly taken taxpayer money in the hands of government elites, giving them more control over our lives and the economy. None of the plans actually solve what the Warmists say is killing the Earth, merely supposedly slowing it.

This is a question Newt needs to answer.

Message to Durban: Declare War on Climate Change

Yeah. Right. And, as shown by the Greenie Pig article yesterday, the minute the Warmists are inconvenienced, they stop trying to reduce their carbon footprint.

The Wars on Drugs and Poverty in the 1960s were obviously not literal wars involving guns and bombs. They were wars of conscience and responsibility – a recognition that there is an illness, an evil, an injustice that damages the fabric of society. A recognition that we have to seek it out, hunt it down, find its origins, and kill it off. This is what we are trying to do now in the war on terror. No less, in fact much more, is required to fight climate change. We need all the governments, stakeholders, business leaders and foot soldiers like you and me to be on the right side of this war – to be the good guys.

Anyone see anything in there about, you know, science? No? It was all about politics? Hmph. Imagine that.

Then we get a few comparisons of globull warming to terrorism, such as “If a terrorist group blew up New Orleans, bombed it into an apocolyptic state, would this not be a Pearl Harbor event?” And then the terrorist forgot to manufacture any US landfalling hurricanes in over 3 1/2 seasons, and no Category 3 or higher since 2006. Bummer. The longest periods since before the Civil War.

Then we learn about the climate being “unruly and destabilized.” You know, weather like has always happened. Then, how China is evil for having the temerity to push their economy forward, and

So, rather than only putting a few cards on the table, Durban needs to be addressing the whole concept of how we do business on a global scale. The current system of free trade puts the decision of capping emissions into the hands of multinationals as they are the ones choosing where to invest. And to them capping emissions is a nice concept but it does nothing for this quarter’s profitability. China is a convenient engine for that profitability and at the same time, serves as a convenient scapegoat for inaction on climate change. A League of Green Traders could potentially wrestle power from the multis and put it into the hands of decision-makers who want their cities and societies to survive the ravages of climate change.

Who are these “Green Traders”?

Perhaps what’s needed is a League of Green Traders, as opposed to free traders. The good guys buy and sell within the league and play by rules that aggressively attack the climate problem. Everyone is invited into the league, the terms of engagement clear. Countries that want the economic advantage of not controlling carbon would be outlaws, pariahs and not allowed into the EU or North American marketplace. Instead of desperately seeking cheap labor, the multinationals would be desperately seeking green suppliers. I doubt that it would take China very long to come around.

Uh huh. And the Warmists scoff when many of us Climate Realists say that the movement is all about control of people, businesses, and economies, pushed by people who rarely live the life they say everyone else should be forced to live.

A funny thing is happening on the road to riches for Barack Obama and Al Gore, the weather is changing. Global scientists now warn of a Mini-Ice Age that will bring frigid temperatures that will further expose the fraud of the worldwide carbon-credit-man-made-global-warming scheme.

Seems Obama, Gore, the United Nations and their co-collaborators can fool some of the public, but not nature. Nor can they coerce honest scientists from making chilling predictions.

Last year, U.S. forecasters predicted the return of La Niña off the Pacific waters. Faced with meteorological science predicting a cooling trend and with potential billions at stake, Obama went before the U.N. recently to actively push his “green” global-warming agenda demanding that, “To preserve our planet, we must not put off the action that climate change demands.” America’s enemies would like nothing better than for America’s economy and future growth to be hamstrung by fraud-based global warming regulations. The real motivation for globalist pushing all things “green” is money. The green-scam itself is, in great part, American made.

Money to set up the global-warming, carbon-credit trading scheme, known as the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), was reportedly to be funneled through a Chicago Bank that once donated to then Senator Barack Obama’s campaign. Obama cronies from Goldman Sachs were reportedly set to run the CCX with an estimated 10 trillion dollars a year to be traded on the exchange. Reportedly, Obama and his associates such as Van Jones and Al Gore, along with bank owners, were slated to make millions from commissions alone. Former Chairman of mortgage giant Fannie Mae, Democrat and Obama supporter Franklin Raines was also reportedly involved in the structuring mechanism of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). It was Raines who reportedly pocketed $100 million in commissions at tax payer expense as CEO of Fannie Mae, was reportedly fined $20 million for serious accounting irregularities, leaving him some $80 million after reportedly being forced out with accusations of his staff “cooking the books.” With Obama’s jobs killing, economy crushing Cap-and-Trade bill sidelined and the CCX in a holding pattern, new measures to bank and funnel money had to be devised.

Enter Obama’s Jobs Plan and his demands for an Infrastructure Bank through which billions would be channeled to aid Labor Unions and benefit handpicked companies loyal to Obama and Democrats. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) declares that Obama’s proposed Infrastructure Bank: “Is just Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac number two.” Exposed by Republicans as another tax payer money pit, the Obama administration has been forced to make a fast pivot to stash cash.

With the Infrastructure Bank facing stiff opposition in Congress, a last minute rush was made by Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu to hurry through some $4.7 billion is guaranteed loans to favored solar companies as part of Obama’s “green” agenda. This on the heels of and despite the dismal failing and bankruptcy of Obama’s premiere “green” solar panel manufacturer Solyndra that flushed $535 million of tax payers’ money. Chu’s actions are being investigated.

With unsettled and conflicting science, nations worldwide are starting to follow the money trail behind the man-made-global-warming-carbon-credit scheme. Though all want a cleaner environment, the rush job that Obama, Gore and the United Nations demand puts not only validity in doubt, but questions if “green” is less environmental and signifies more of a goal to line pockets and fill bank accounts of wealthy, global elites at America’s expense.

· Are we absolutely certain that the main cause of global warming is carbon and has nothing to do with the output of the Sun, or any of the other theories? With the credibility of some of the data of those dealing with climate change at least open to question, are we absolutely certain that we can afford all these precautions that may not even turn out to be necessary? Research question: Which Presidential candidates believe in man-made-global warming and support the Obama-Gore carbon-credit scheme?

(The New American) The deaths of 23 Honduran farmers involved in land disputes with UN-approved palm oil plantations are raising an international outcry against alleged “human rights abuses.” EurActiv reports members of the European Parliament (EP) are planning an investigative mission to Honduras this month while others are calling for a ban on carbon credits to the plantations under the EU’s Emissions Trading System (ETS). Additionally, it says the UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is weighing its validation process which originally accredited the plantations, a process critics call “only rudimentary, completely unregulated and badly documented.”

Protests erupted in July when six international human rights advocacy groups presented a report to the EP detailing what they called murders and forced evictions of peasants in El Bajo Aguán Valley of northern Honduras. The International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) report accuses UN-sanctioned palm oil mills of stealing farmland from Honduran natives and killing or wounding them when they attempt to defend their property. It says the companies, acting with government impunity, regularly target members of local land-rights movements who end up murdered in feigned car accidents or hunted down and shot by private security guards.

Let’s boil that down: the Honduran farmers were killed over initiatives meant to stop anthropogenic global warming, and were UN and EU approved. Palm Oil is used to produce bio-fuels (and let’s not forget that the search for new palm oil fields has clear cut huge swaths of land and led to bio-destruction and the intentional hunting of orangutans. All in the name of the climate change hoax).

Well, that’s nice. Though, dead people have no need of an apology for being killed.

(Daily Caller) The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats — at a cost of $21 billion — to attempt to implement the rules.

The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.

The proposed regulations would set greenhouse gas emission thresholds above which businesses must file for an EPA permit and complete extra paperwork in order to continue operating. If the EPA wins its court battle and fully rolls out the greenhouse gas regulations, the number of businesses forced into this regulatory regime would grow tremendously — from approximately 14,000 now to as many as 6.1 million.

Well, those 230,000 new government employees could offset the millions of private jobs that would be lost due to belief in a pseudo-religion that trace amounts of a gas necessary for life on Earth will burn the planet to cinders, despite having higher CO2 atmospheric levels for most of the lifespan of the Earth.

*just to reiterate, yes, the climate has changed to a warmer one from a cooler one, just like it has been doing for the last 7,000 years during this interglacial period. But, it is primarily and mostly natural. And if you anthropogenic global warming chumps really believed, you would change your own behavior. Yet, you don’t. Why?

Well, let’s get the ball rolling on another broken promise from The One, Barack Hussein Obama, shall we? I mean, every time we think we are done chronicling his broken promises we have to do a reset. He’s had so many gutter balls on this that it is hard to keep them straight. His record has had strike after strike in the lies column. He’s the veritable kingpin of broken promises.

Let’s take this one from 2008:

I have sworn that we’re taking out the bowling alley in the White House and we’re putting in a basketball court.

Three years later, he hasn’t. More on that below.

The anti-bowler in chief, you might recall, has had a few bowling problems both in his march to the White House, not to mention once he got fairly in office.

During that late campaign for president, our bad Brunswickian proved to be a rotten bowler. Not only did he throw several gutter balls but he only got a horrid 37 score. A ten-year-old could do better than that.

Of that momentous score, late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel said, “I bowled a 37 when I was a baby. And I was drunk, by the way.”

Our Prez to be turned out to be a guttersnipe, it appeared.

Then, in 2009 you might recall Obama’s other bowling handicap. In an appearance on the Leno show, the gutter-baller in chief really went into the gutter with a bad joke about mentally challenged, Special Olympics participants.

The exchange went like this:

“I bowled a 129,” he told Leno.

“That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno said sarcastically.

But then came the foot-in-mouth moment: “It’s like the Special Olympics or something,” the president said.

Obama was forced to apologize for his comments before the show even aired!

So, what is his latest Bowling Bash? Well, harken back to our first part where the Presidential Pin Head promised to take out the bowling alley that Harry Truman built in the basement of the White House? Yeah, well he never did.

In fact, he’s been using it for fundraising!

As Devin Dwyer of ABC News reports:

Just over three years later, the basement bowling alley President Truman installed in 1947 is still there -– and apparently being put to good use.

At least 230 visitors to the White House during May came for the express purpose of bowling, according to visitor logs released today.

In fact, the underground alley was used every day of the month, except five – May 14, 16, 18, 21 and 22.

On two days, May 15 and 23, the visitor entries indicate “bowling party.”

Yep, just another broken promise. Even as he’s leading from the back of the bench on this he’s breaking promises.

Good thing he’s made good on so many other promises though. Why he’s shut down Guantanamo, repealed the Bush tax rates, signed the Employee Free Choice Act, allowed importation of prescription drugs, converted the entire White House auto fleet to electric vehicles, he’s doubled the size of the Peace Corps, He’s prevented lobbyists from joining his administration, instituted cap and trade and….

Oh, wait. He didn’t fulfill any of those promises, either.

Ooops.

Federal Climate Change Minister Greg Combet has accused Opposition Leader Tony Abbott of having a racist climate change policy.

Mr Abbott has warned that Australian businesses buying carbon permits under an emissions trading scheme could be conned by unscrupulous international traders.

Because there has been absolutely no fraud in the climate change hoax carbon schemes.

The Government plans to introduce its carbon tax legislation to Parliament by the end of September and hopes to have it passed by next year.

Mr Combet described Mr Abbott’s position as “economic xenophobia” in an address to the National Press Club.

“It sends the signal that it’s somehow dubious to trade with foreigners. It’s typical dog-whistle politics, trashing the commitment that’s existed for many years on both sides of politics to economic liberalisation and open trade,” he said.

“It is in effect a white carbon policy designed to harvest more votes no matter what the cost.”

So, even with the idiotic anthropogenic global warming issue, liberals go for their choice attack, raaaaacism. But, then, AGW turned from a scientific issue to a political one about 5 minutes after someone said “hey, I wonder if the output of greenhouse gases by Mankind is affecting the climate?”

Obama’s duplicity is renowned. Obama’s long-hyped “shovel ready jobs” to rebuild America’s infrastructure turned out to be a joke that elicited an on-camera chuckle from Obama. Obama’s latest ploy is to play “nice Boehner vs. bad Republicans,” as if John Boehner is a doofus. After publicly sweet talking Speaker Boehner for “doing his best,” he derides Boehner’s Republican caucus for adhering to the will of a 76% majority of Americans who do not want the debt ceiling raised. Obama ignores voters’ demands for major spending cuts – especially on bloated agencies like the EPA, DOE, and endless other government bureaucracies with costly overlapping functions. Obama talks “jobs” while implementing socialist policies that undercut job creation and damage people of all ages and color. Obama prefers to call taxes “revenue.” He condescends, hoping Americans “don’t get” that in order to stimulate job growth, incentives through less taxes must be given to job creators. With all of his save America talk, Obama is quietly and quickly implementing policies that are catastrophic to this nation.

In a stealth move to by-pass Congress, President Obama is resurrecting his Cap-and-Trade “green” agenda through harsh EPA regulations and fines that are budget-busting for homes and businesses. Keenly aware of this egregious power grab and political corruption, Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is calling for the dissolution of the EPA. Heed the British warning.

An ocean apart, Obama is hoping that the “green” devastation being faced by the British will escape notice. As Barack Obama makes claims of a better life and future for Americans, his administration is surreptitiously mounting mountains of regulations via executive order and the EPA that will kill jobs, crush the economy and impose fines on families failing to comply. As Obama presses hard-and-fast for his socialist, global-warming “green” initiatives to be forced on Americans, the Brits are bailing. Their economy is being savaged by their “politically correct” green policies based on fraudulent science. Brits are already facing the choice between food or fuel as U.K. families face “fuel poverty.” The Brits are now speaking out and rebelling:

The fact is that these green taxes, part of David Cameron’s politically-correct promise to lead the ‘greenest government ever’, are imposing a punishing burden on families and businesses struggling to cope with tough economic times. When promoting his “green” agenda, one cannot forget Obama’s heartless comment that coal companies will just “have to go bankrupt,” without regard to the desperate poverty that would be thrust upon our nation’s coal mining families or Obama’s dispassionate disconnect from all Americans as he blithely commented that every American family’s energy bill will necessarily “skyrocket.” Clearly, Barack Obama understands the impact of “fuel poverty.” Ignoring the warning from the British reveals Obama’s complicity in the “green” global fraud of global warming and climate-change that will devastate America’s treasury and economy. Unless Congress defunds or dismantles Obama’s EPA, fuel poverty will be a reality for Americans.

GORE SLAMS OBAMA – NOT HARDLY

Rep. Michele Bachmann is surging in the GOP presidential polls and barnstorming Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, but as she sprints toward the front of the Republican pack, there’s a major hole in her political résumé: legislation.

Now in her third House term, Bachmann has never had a bill or resolution she’s sponsored signed into law, and she’s never wielded a committee gavel, either at the full or subcommittee level. Bachmann’s amendments and bills have rarely been considered by any committee, even with the House under GOP control. In a chamber that rewards substantive policy work and insider maneuvering, Bachmann has shunned the inside game, choosing to be more of a bomb thrower than a legislator.

One of the things that makes her popular is that she isn’t fully playing the insiders game up on Capital Hill. Instead, she is taking her message to the People. But, this reminds me of someone else

Of course, having a thin legislative résumé isn’t a dead end for a presidential run — Obama started running for president just two years into his Senate term and didn’t have a substantive list of congressional accomplishments.

Obama’s biggest accomplishments were….giving speeches outside of Capital Hill, then playing hide and seek when any tough vote came up. For Michelle, though, she is always in the mix

In terms of policy substance, Bachmann has pushed for a balanced-budget amendment and major cuts in spending and entitlement programs, including Medicare and Social Security. She has called for new oil drilling on federal lands and in Alaska, as well as greater use of nuclear power and clean energy. Bachmann has advocated large tax cuts, especially for private business, and she has backed legislation requiring congressional approval for all major federal regulations. (major snip)

Sachtleben added: “Perhaps her most important achievement in terms of votes cast was her unwavering consistency in voting against TARP, stimulus, cap and trade, Obamacare and the rest of the big-spending, job-destroying, deficit-busting bills that were put forth by the Democrat majority.”

Michelle also brings lots of actual private sector experience to the mix. She’s a good Conservative, and has gone out of her way to reach out to the TEA Party. She’s dynamic and exciting, and this worries the liberal media, but, mostly it worries the GOP insiders and squishes, the ones who would rather run a Democrat Lite candidate, rather then jumping in and backing Conservative principles. These are the same types of people who freaked out over Ronald Reagan, before his election and during his presidency. They’ll tell you about “electability”…..how’d that work with McCain? Bush just barely beat Gore. Bob Dole? These same squishes tend to ignore Democrat malfeasance, and spend most of their time attacking Conservatives, which is how we end up with so many wishy washy Republicans in Congress, willing to cross the aisle and support Liberal causes.

Expect the caterwauling to continue to get worse as Bachmann continues to be one of the leaders for the GOP nomination.

Like two peas in a genetically-engineered pod, Barack Obama and Al Gore share the same green dream. Both are immersed in the propaganda of climate-change and man-made global warming and have been for years before Obama was elected. Man-made global warming is not real science. It is agenda-science. Agenda-science – because it serves the agendas of those out to do harm to America. Facts are a nuisance to globalist factions that are using fraudulent climate claims to gain power, control and vast amounts of wealth. “Green” is mean. It mandates lean times. In London’s Sunday Telegraph, Christopher Booker wrote: “As the great global warming scare continues to fade away, the real problem is that our politicians have so much collective ego invested in this delusion that, even when hell freezes over, they will still find it impossible to admit they got it wrong.”

The question is – is Obama using global warming as a tool to drain the U.S. treasury and weaken America’s security on behalf of global socialist interests? Obama knows that green or renewable energy is nowhere developed to the point of replacing oil, gas and coal as this nation’s core energy sources. Yet, Obama pushes to collapse fossil fuel industries before alternatives are in place. Depleting America’s Strategic Oil Reserves as an artificial fix to high gas prices, instead of drilling for oil as a permanent solution, weakens America. Doing so not only threatens our economy, but our national security. Weakening America enhances the prospect that Obama can relinquish our laws, wealth and resources to globalist demands. That Barack Obama has done severe damage to America – is no accident.

Al Gore has stated his vision of becoming the first global warming “billionaire.” Gore reportedly has set-up a trading exchange, akin to the commodities market, to globally trade CO2 carbon emissions. Reportedly, Gore would position himself to oversee which countries and companies can emit CO2 carbon emissions based on payments that would equal billions. Reportedly, companies will be bribed to participate or stand accused of breaking international law under the auspices of a globalist ruling council such as the United Nations. Gore appears to have staked his financial future on false science. America cannot afford to do so.

Reports reveal that Obama, Gore, General Electric, George Soros and Goldman-Sachs are major players in the “green” agenda. The question is: Does America flourish or can its economy survive under the socialist climate-change agenda? Climate-change coupled with the green movement is about globalists controlling American rights, freedoms and resources. Some American schools are now forcing “green” agendas into their curriculums and climate-change is being called science. What is being fervently avoided is the “fact” that worldwide more than thirty-two thousand scientists call man-made global warming “total nonsense.”

Perceiving the economic threat, England’s Parliament is revolting against more stringent climate targets, while Poland stood against the European Union’s move to increase CO2 emission targets. Director of The Global Warming Policy Foundation, Dr. Benny Peiser remarked: “It’s a bright day for Europe’s hard-pressed taxpayers, its’ a good day for the economy, it’s a great day for climate realists.” For Americans, it will be a “good day” when elected officials stand against those inside and outside our government who do us harm under the deceptive banner of “green.”
