CAIR came out with their excuse for Muslim shooter, Nadal Malik Hasan: he is heinous, and Islam condemns his actions. No comment from CAIR spokesman Nihad Awad that the murders may have been committed in the name of Allah. Awad didn’t mention that there is a name for murders committed in the name of Allah – and that name is jihad. CAIR, by the way, is an un-indicted co-conspirator in the war on terror.

While most Americans will no longer buy this, our courts will. While most Americans know that Islam is an ideology with a Koranic mission to eliminate infidels entirely, the government will not even begin to explore that truth. It is a fact that many Muslims who live their lives peacefully, know that others inside the “faith” are committing jihad, and they do nothing to stop it. It is also a fact, that to abolish jihad from the “faith” is to abandon Islam.

Cynthia Tucker says [it] is probably not a “teachable moment from this horror,” and she cautions that the Army must focus more on stress-plagued soldiers.

There were about 7 hours of teachable moments yesterday – for some, those hours will never end – those hours will be the defining moments in their lives. The Army was already investigating Hasan. Tell me what they could have done with him, without cries of discrimination? There is nothing they could do except:

(1) let him out of the Army after paying thousands for his education, and send the message that if you don’t want to go to a war zone, just let us know and we’ll fix it for you, or

(2) deny all promotions and try to keep him quiet in an environment where men and women know they will be on a battlefield fighting the same ideology that Major Hasan believed so intensely in.

How many centuries has this been going on and we still reject that Islam is anything but peaceful?

There has never been a time, anywhere in the world, that Islam was not the aggressor. No, not every Muslim is radical, but can anyone show me one instance, even within the Military, where Muslims personally want to put an end to Islam’s threat to infidels?

We do not know the details of each and every Muslim serving alongside our Military. That’s the problem. What are we asking Muslims to do when deployed to a war zone fighting the war on terror. We are asking Muslims to kill Muslims, knowing that their “faith” teachs that only Muslims can, and should, survive. I know many Muslims are serving this country, but, really, I ask again, will they tell you they want to put an end to Islam’s threat to infidels? Will they?

My predictions:

(1) If Hasan lives, he will go to prison. I’m hearing this afternoon that he is paralyzed, so if he lives he will not go to prison – and no, being paralyzed is not punishment enough.

(2) The soldiers at Ft. Hood will be blamed for harassing Hasan for his religious beliefs. “Stress” will be used to excuse Major Hasan’s actions.

(3) No one can answer how a solider is supposed to react to a man among them, saying that America is the aggressor in Iraq. There is no answer, because every right answer is discrimination.

(4) Most Americas will no longer support the Muslim cries of “discrimination,” but our leaders will. Our troops will continue to serve side-by-side with Muslim soldiers who do not believe in the war on terror and are not fully committed to eradicating jihad.

(5) Fort Hood will happen again, somewhere, in some way.

In his speech to the Muslim world delivered this past June from Cairo, President Obama apologized that “in the United States, rules on charitable giving have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation”. President Obama *(Government) then promised that “I’m committed to work with American Muslims *(religion) to ensure that they can fulfill zakat [the Islamic duty of charitable contributions].”

The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the largest Islamic “charity” in the United States eligible for receipt of zakat, was convicted by a federal jury for providing more than $12 million to support the Palestinian militant terrorist organization Hamas.

Obama apparently could not care less. He sees eye-to-eye with the ACLU, which represented Abdel-Jabbar Hamdan, a fundraiser for the group who was living in the United States illegally.

This is how the ACLU, in a lengthy report issued this past June, characterized the security measures put into place to prevent more Holy Land Foundations:

The ACLU’s research shows that U.S. terrorism financing policies and practices are seriously undermining American Muslims’ protected constitutional liberties and violating their fundamental human rights to freedom of religion, freedom of association, and freedom from discrimination.

The ACLU recommended measures that the Obama administration and Congress should take to redress the violations of terrorism funders’ “rights’” that it has conjured up. If Obama’s speech this past June to the Muslim world in Cairo is any indication, he is following the ACLU’s direction.

The ACLU’s legal arm is effectively serving as the Obama administration’s surrogate to restore all rights to Islamic charities and their donors, without regard to whether or not they are funneling the contributions to terrorist organizations such as Hamas.

The celebrity activists (and our leftist MSM) have helped deliver this awful self-inflicted wound, but in the end it was the ‘good people’, our friends and neighbors, perhaps our sons and daughters, who went to the polls in droves and proudly cast their votes for the first black president of the United States of America, thus proving to this jaded world that we are no longer arrogant racists, and that we’re willing to make amends. And it is this radiant but illusory vision of hope and promise that we must somehow brutally shatter if we are to survive the coming onslaught. There is hope and there is promise, but only if we are free and alive to achieve it.

So how do we reach these good-hearted but ill-advised liberals? How do we break through those barriers of comfortable self-righteousness? As our fellow patriot Maggie Thornton so aptly suggested, must they really be shown rather than told? Must they be subjected to multiple 9/11s before they’re willing to face the truth of our imminent peril?

These good people aren’t ignorant or even necessarily disinterested, they’re busy, consumed in their everyday battles. They’re generally optimistic: they feel that somehow things will ‘work themselves out’, they always do. These good people spend an average of twenty minutes a week getting their news from a leftist MSM. At the end of the day, what little time they have left they choose to spend with their families and their loved ones. They have neither the space nor the inclination in their hectic lives to study the Koran, nor to contemplate the inroads of Islam in Belgium. Yes, the good people of America are busy, busy with the business of making America great. They’re what separate us from those lethargic and constantly rioting socialistic failures across the seas.

Of course the problem with this situation is that just being good isn’t good enough. Being honest and hard-working and good just won’t save them, and us. There were a lot of good, intelligent and industrious people in Germany in the twenties and thirties who by their inattention, by their silence, or their gullibility, allowed their country to be taken over by monsters and brought to ruin.

Our good people are just that: they’re good, we’re not angry with them, we love them, they’re our only hope. When we write it’s not to change the minds of any of those hardened far-left activists but to try to reach these decent, hard-working folks who would care if they really understood the gravity of their situation, our present situation. They’re not asleep, they don’t need to be “awakened”, they’ve been awake for hours. They’ve already got the kids off to school and are on their way to work. No, they don’t need to be awakened, but they need to be convinced, convinced that we truly are in mortal danger, that we truly are in a desperate war, a war that we absolutely must win. And somehow we must do the convincing.

Recently I got into a minor argument with a liberal friend of mine over the threat of Islam, and when I brought up the subject of CAIR my friend said that he’d never heard of them. This is what we’re up against. This is an example of the shallowness of their cognizance. This is why we must continue this fight, no matter how hopeless it may seem. For we are one of the only avenues of truth out there and our fellow citizens are in dire need of truth and education. This is why our words matter, why our tireless research has meaning. This isn’t some egocentric form of pedantic arrogance, it’s simply a matter of life and death. – rg

In order to promote one of it’s programs later this evening, Fox News posed this teaser question: [paraphrased] Muslim TV exec beheads wife: Was this an exercise in religious belief or was it murder?

I’m sorry, but I am incredulous and outraged by this blatant display of total ignorance. If the most conservative news channel in the US can even pose this question with a straight face, is there any hope for us in this GWOT? Are we seriously going to debate this issue? Have we slipped that far down that slippery slope of multicultural pc nonsense? Have we abandoned all reason, all common sense, merely to show our respect to a bloodthirsty cult that poses as a legitimate religion? Have we learned nothing in all this time? Are we determined to continue our roles as useful idiots? Will we just ignore all that we have learned about the treacherous duplicity of the Muslim world, the evil machinations of its political arms, most noticeably in the recent scandals of that serpent’s nest CAIR?
How can we seriously consider such a question? How can we still be this naive, this clueless, as to the nature of the enemy in our midst?

Two seniors at Gateway High School in Monroeville said they’ll meet with administrators today after they were told they could no longer wear their traditional Arab head scarves because it was “disruptive” to class.

Mohammad Al-Abbasi, 18, and Ahmad Al-Sadi, 17, said they have worn the red-and-white scarves — called kaffiyehs — around their necks for years as a sign of their Middle Eastern heritage and identity.

But administrators yesterday told them to take the kaffiyehs off or leave school. Both chose the latter.

“It’s my culture, my ancestors wore it, you know?” Mr. Al-Abbasi said last night in a phone interview. “It’s my roots. It’s not political. It doesn’t have any message.”

The students said they were called into Principal William Short’s office yesterday morning after, they believe, students and parents complained to school officials that the kaffiyehs are symbols of hate and terrorism, Mr. Al-Abbasi said.

All one has to do is look at the way so many on the Left wear them, as solidarity and hatred of Israel/Jews symbols. Now, maybe that is not their intent. But, what if someone wanted to wear a Confederate battle flag as a symbol of their heritage and culture? Think they would be allowed to keep it on? But, they couldn’t have anything to do with hate, could they?

It also comes about a week after Mr. Al-Abbasi wore a T-shirt to school airbrushed with an anti-Israeli sentiment. He said he took the shirt off when administrators told him the message was “threatening.”

“I understood, and I shouldn’t have worn that to school,” he said.

Unlike the shirt, he said, the kaffiyehs aren’t political or religious.

OK, if they aren’t religious, then by the school code, they can be made to take them off.

Too bad Administrator Short lost this one, as the ACLU, CAIR, and other far left Islamist supporting groups got involved. I guess the only positive here are that the two wearing them are of Arab descent, rather then idiot America liberals wearing them hoping Palestinians kill Jews.

What exactly was the German American Bund?

The German American Bund, an organization of ethnic Germans living in the United States, was marked by a pro-Nazi stance. Aside from its admiration for Adolf Hitler and the achievements of Nazi Germany, the German American Bund program included antisemitism, strong anti-Communist sentiments, and the demand that the United States remain neutral in the approaching European conflict. Public opinion surveys of 1939 show that Fritz Kuhn, the leader of the German American Bund, was seen by the U.S. public as the leading antisemite in the country.

Actual membership figures for the German American Bund are not known with certainty, but reliable estimates place membership at 25,000 dues-paying members, including some 8,000 uniformed Sturmabteilungen (SA), more commonly known as Storm Troopers.

The German American Bund carried out active propaganda for its causes, published magazines and brochures, organized demonstrations, and maintained a number of youth camps run like Hitler Youth camps.

German American Bund activities often led to clashes–even street battles–with other groups, most notably with Jewish veterans of World War I. A February 1939 rally was held on George Washington’s birthday to proclaim the rights of white gentiles, the “true patriots.” This Madison Square Garden rally drew a crowd of 20,000 who consistently booed President Franklin D. Roosevelt and chanted the Nazi salutation “Heil Hitler.”

The German American Bund closely cooperated with the “Christian Front” organized by the antisemitic priest Father Charles Coughlin. The activities of the German American Bund led both Jewish and non-Jewish congressional representatives to demand that it be investigated by the House Un-American Activities Committee chaired by Martin Dies. The Committee hearings, held in 1939, showed clear evidence of German American Bund ties to the Nazi government.

Shortly thereafter, Kuhn was convicted of embezzling funds from the organization and was sentenced to prison. In the following years, a number of other German American Bund leaders were interned as dangerous aliens, and others were jailed for various offenses. By 1941 the membership of the organization had waned. After the United States entered World War II in December 1941, the U.S. government outlawed the German American Bund.

And what exactly is CAIR?

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a civil liberties and advocacy group for Muslims in North America that was created in June 1994; its professed goals are to enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice and empower American Muslims.” In its work, the group has been a party to lawsuits, testified before the United States Congress, and met with President George W. Bush.

Critics say that the organization and its leadership have ties to Islamic terrorist organizations and ideologies. CAIR responds by calling the accusations “urban legends”, and says that its detractors represent “the extremes in our society“.

· CAIR’s lineage goes back to a key Hamas leader (Musa Abu Marzook), and that CAIR has long been connected with, and “exploited” the 9/11 attacks to raise money for the Holy Land Foundation, a Hamas front group.

· CAIR is heavily supported, financially and otherwise, by suspect Saudi and UAE-based individuals and groups.

· CAIR states that the U.S. judicial system has been “kidnapped by Israeli interests,” and claims that anti-terror law enforcement action against the Holy Land Foundation was “an anti-Muslim witch hunt” promoted by “the pro-Israel lobby in America.”

Remarkably, ingeniously, despite having been labeled by prosecutors as “unindicted co-conspirators” in connection with the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, despite the startling revelations made by respected investigative journalists and authors, such as Steve Emerson, Robert Spencer et al, and despite the further indictments of eleven more CAIR officials, bringing the new total to fourteen, this gang of Islamic thugs still remain free to do their devil’s work, seemingly immune to our occasional outbursts of impotent outrage.

Consider this sentence:

A jury on Monday determined that the Holy Land Foundation and five men who worked with the Muslim charity were guilty of three dozen counts related to the illegal funneling of at least $12 million to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

The unanimous verdicts are a complete victory for the government, which streamlined its case and worked hard to carefully educate jurors on the complex, massive evidence presented in the trial.

The prosecution victory is also a major one for the lame duck administration of President George Bush, whose efforts at fighting terrorism financing in court have been troubled, even though the flow of funds seems to be effectively shut down.

It was the second trial where the government attempted to convict the men and the now defunct Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation itself. It took the jury eight days of deliberations to reach its decisions — less than half the time it took jurors to deadlock end up with an almost complete mistrial last year on the first go-around.

“My dad is not a criminal!” sobbed one courtroom observer after the verdicts were read. “He’s a human!”

Before he read the verdict, the judge had ordered all observers to remain civil and respect the proceedings.

By 3 p.m. Monday, jurors had been sent back to the jury room to determine if Holy Land assets should be forfeited to the government because of several convictions on money laundering charges related to the case.

Michelle Malkin thinks we will hear CAIR whining soon. Maybe so, but they do have troubles of their own right now.
