Sixty-six percent believe the Palestinians should start off with their own state beside Israel, but then move to just one Palestinian state.

And 92 percent believe Jerusalem should be their capital.

The survey of 1,010 Palestinians — 656 in the West Bank and 353 in the Gaza Strip — was conducted by U.S. pollster Stanley Greenberg, along with the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion.

In light of the poll above, think about this: Neither Hamas, Fatah or the Palestinian National Authority, grant Israel the right to exist in their Charters and Constitutions, but exist they do. Israel has said there will be no two-state solution UNTIL and UNLESS, these factions accept and recognize the Nation of Israel’s right to exist.

Bet you think Gazans live in hovels? Take a look at the first video below. The second video is a Gaza Water Park, enjoyed by the boys. I do see one little girl not in shroud, but in something like a 1920’s bathing suit perhaps. The boys are in bathing suits in the hot sun – the girls in burkhas. The subtitle says Hamas burned the water park, but there is only a quick view.

Note that Rubio says Congress should have been diligently working on the debt limit since January, and unsaid is the fact that many new conservative members of the House have already voted for debt limit increases since January, while much opposed to doing so, with the promise from leadership that the House would eventually take care of business. We did take care of business. The House passed Cut, Cap and Balance, but then failed to stand firm on it.

Rubio says he believes the President’s plan has been to do nothing until the last minute, and then force a last minute vote on something they wanted.

At about 6 minutes in Rubio reads a statement about raising the debt limit. Don’t miss it.

At about 9:40-in, Sen. John Kerry steps up and suggest “reaching across the aisle,” to compromise is the answer to the problem [translated: raise taxes]. Rubio answers:

It is impossible to negotiate with someone who does not have a plan.

Rubio’s whole point is, almost everyone in both Chambers believe the debt limit must be raised, but we are missing the opportunity to take the measures that will bring us back from the brink permanently.

If my house was fire, I have no time to compromise.  I cannot compromise on which rooms to save. I save the whole house or it will all burn down.

[Givler] The Constitution recognizes the necessity of war, and sets forth the process for declaring it. What it does not recognize is the state of violent un-war that we have come to accept as normal.

Here is a snippet.

Givler describes the Japanese surrender and the Emperor’s message to his people, and compares it to the end of Saddam Hussein. About the people, he says:

We’re of no help to them in making that leap if, while we’re trying to destroy insurgents, we’re building schools and digging wells. We should be doing nothing of the kind. Suffering is what is needed to make the population shift its perspective, and alleviating the suffering at the same time we’re administering it does not help. The Japanese people went from preferring suicide to laying down their arms and accepting occupation because they had suffered grievously first, which made the surrender acceptable and meaningful. If we had been passing out lead suits and airdropping food at the same time we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, our message would have been seriously muddled. It’s no different in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else.

For the next year, we will all be caught up the 2012 elections, but our troops, in reduced numbers, are still searching for IEDs, rebuilding infrastructure, making short peace with villagers, and doing an incredible job of ferreting out the most dangerous of the dangerous in some of the most difficult terrain in the world – still fighting with the right to win forbidden them. I hope you will read the entire article and pass it on to your readers if you are a blogger, or to friends and family.

Bakken Shale Drilling Fields

Liberals hate it. A couple of New York towns have banned it. North Dakota is booming and in February the state had the lowest unemployment rate in the U.S. (3.8%). If you need a job, try the oil and gas fields in North Dakota.

The point of this post is to direct you to an excellent video that explains exactly how fracking works. View it at NorthernOil.com. The second point is to mention that the Obama administration is doing everything it can to claim millions of acres of oil and gas rich land resources for “Wild Lands,” rendering them energy-useless.

The New American published an exposé on Czarist regulations that rained-down upon us on the Tuesday before Christmas 2010, which they refer to as Tyranny Tuesday. The author Michael Coffman address the millions of acres of land the administration (and others before it) have taken possession of under the “Wild Lands” provision of the Department of the Interior. Under the heading Czar Salazar Locks Up Trillions of Barrels of Domestic Oil and Gas, Coffman says:

As I discuss in my book Rescuing a Broken America,⁹ there exists enough oil and gas in shale oil formations in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming to completely supply all U.S. needs for several hundred years with current technology and oil prices. The BLM [Bureau of Land Management] estimates that “1.2-1.8 trillion barrels of oil is available in Wyoming’s Green River Formation alone. A moderate estimate of 800 billion barrels of oil that would be recoverable from oil shale in the Green River Formation is three times greater than the proven oil reserves of Saudi Arabia.”¹⁰ That is about a 100-year supply of oil at present U.S. consumption rates — just from Wyoming.

In spite of the fact that analysts unanimously celebrate this potential bonanza to America using environmentally-sensitive technology, progressives in Congress have systematically stalled on allowing its development. The Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 forever locked up much of this shale oil from being developed. The Heritage Foundation found that “331 million barrels of recoverable oil and 8.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas were taken out of exploration in Wyoming. The total amount of energy that would be restricted is equivalent to the amount of natural gas the entire U.S. produces in 15 years…. The law could not only restrict conventional energy resources, but it could also restrict access to oil shale in parts of Colorado and Utah as well.”¹¹ The “Wild Lands” decree by Salazar could lock up even more, if not all, of this priceless resource.

First, I’m not mentioning the name of the Marine who died on the same page with Jonathan Phelps’ name. Second I have thought about whether giving Phelps a forum here is a good idea, but he seems to be callingFox News and The Hayride News and Commentary, the source for the Fox story, liars. And then there’s this, The Hayride apparently got their story from “an Ole Miss sports message board,” so…. Finally, since this is the Internet, I must acknowledge that it’s possible this comment was left by someone other than Jonathan Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church – a joke or a prank, perhaps?

The story was that some unnamed members of Westboro Baptist went to Brandon for the Marine’s funeral service. The town of Brandon, Mississippi was ready for them. If true, what Rankin County Mississippi did is the stuff of legends, especially considering the heartbreak Westboro has brought to the families of our Warriors. Phelps says the story is “fiction,” they were not in Brandon. At least now Rankin County won’t have to worry about a First Amendment lawsuit from this bunch of haters.

Jonathan Phelps left the following comment at STACLU:

Dear Friends:

Just when we thought there was no completely new and original way to get the whole nation talking about the faithful ministry of WBC, you found one. You are AWESOME!

Never mind that the story was complete fiction (since we never have and never would waste time driving that far when a plane and rental car is far more efficient), you got people to get an accurate picture of the face of a doomed nation that will no longer endure sound Bible doctrine and therefore God sends them a spirit of lawlessness as divine judgment.

You saved us funds to attend funerals for soldiers and others in Nebraska, Iowa, and Oklahoma, while still guaranteeing that our core message (God is bringing this evil nation into judgment in an open and notorious manner,  chiefly by slaughtering their young and their soldiers, because you have turned the country over to the sodomites) has reached a huge audience AGAIN!

Jonathan,

The US Supreme Court in Lawrence vs Texas turned this country over to the sodomites. Did you picket them?

Several of the states’ Federal, Supreme and Appellate courts have turned their states over to sodomites. Are you picketing them?

State legislatures? No? US Congress? No?

Are you picketing any schools?

How about the many ‘gay pride parades’ from NY to Chicago to San Fransicko?

It’s not about sodomites or even a country turned over to sodomites…it’s about money. It’s about a family of scammers playing the ‘taxpayer lotto.’

You’re not going after the target rich environment because there isn’t enough money in it. The money is in the government awards for failing to protect and serve.

You and your family are not against sodomites, Jonathan. You, and your “church” depend on them to make your living.

You and yours won’t go after that which you rail against when you can go after the dead and poke people’s emotion, hoping to turn it into cash.

The South Wing is stocked with 20 yellow and orange European lounge chairs that cost $1,092 apiece, artistic pendant light fixtures and two alcohol-burning fireplaces. The project morphed from a $300,000 furniture update to a $2.3 million overhaul with new floors, study rooms, lighting and built-in, wood-framed book shelves….

It’s not the only spending to come under question as the system considers closing up to 18 of 23 branches and laying off as many as 191 of 333 workers. A Detroit News review showed that, since 2008, the library has paid at least $160,000 to food vendors, including $1,760 at an ice-cream shop, and spent $1 million on 6 percent raises to union workers at a time counterparts in City Hall took 10 percent pay cuts.

In a city with a history rife with failed Democrat leadership, there’s a report from March 11, 2011:

The Detroit Public Library wants to know what happened to $200,000 it set aside two years ago to launch a $20 million fundraising campaign that ended up bringing in less than $100.

Not surprisingly, attorneys are being hired to find the $200,000 probably costing taxpayers at least $500,000.

How many U.S. taxpayer dollars did former Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (her son is former Detroit Democrat Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick) finger away from our pockets for these “deck chairs?”

Watch Part 1 (much shorter than Part 2) of the video at Teressa-Monroe Hamilton’s Progressive Hunter blog. Part 1 speaks more to strong women raising strong men – “men of honor, men of character.” Terresa posits if West runs with Palin, Bachmann or Cain “there would be no way to beat him.”

“He’s smart, brave and moral – he is just what America needs. A warrior with a good and strong soul. A real man.”

I hope that West ends up on a strong Conservative ticket, noting that whatever ticket he may be on will be doubled in strength through his convictions and integrity.

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.
