“Joe the Plumber” speaks

While I loved the repeated smackdown of Obama on the redistribution policies he let slip to Joe Wurzelbacher, a plumber, I wondered how Joe himself felt about becoming the inadvertent centerpiece of the debate. And now, “Joe the Plumber” speaks:
Of course, because he is middle class and conservative, the libtards are already hell-bent on destroying him. The DUmmies are especially enthusiastic, already racking up the screeching posts of outrage. Lorie Byrd sums it up:
Some idiot liberal bloggers are saying there is a big scandal because Joe the Plumber doesn’t make $250,000 and would (GASP) actually get a tax cut under Obama’s plan! I could not make the case against their liberal socialist plan any better than they themselves are. Hey, rocket scientists, here is what Joe said: “I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes about 250, 270 - 80 thousand dollars a year, your new tax plan is going to tax me more isn’t it? I’m getting taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream.” Got that? He didn’t say he makes that now. You should have gotten the clue when he said “I am getting ready to buy a company.” Evidently the Obama talking points went out saying Joe doesn’t make $250,000 and the idiot lib bloggers ate it up and didn’t bother watching the actual comment Joe the Plumber made, but rather reported this fact as some big Republican lie.
Brace yourself, Joe. The Obama Thugocracy is gunning for you. But what they don’t seem to understand is that even if Joe was John McCain’s long lost son and a huge donor to the GOP, or not even a plumber, it would not matter at all because what was shocking about the video was not what Joe the Plumber said. Joe the Plumber is not going to be making tax policy. What was shocking and more relevant than anything else that has been said in the entire campaign is what Barack Obama said. He told Joe that it is okay to soak those making more than $250,000, even small businesses making that, because then you can “spread the wealth” around and everyone benefits. That is redistribution of wealth — taking from the rich (and from the kinda rich) and giving to the not so rich and the poor. And Obama admitted to it. Out loud. And on video.
Meanwhile, the press can’t seem to understand why everyone is so obsessed with Joe the Plumber. And the reason everyone loves Joe the Plumber so much is because he is an everyman. Most Americans aren’t out there worrying day in and day out about the consequences of Washington squabbles. Most Americans worry about feeding their families and paying their bills, giving their children a shot at the best future possible… reaching for the American dream. And what Joe the Plumber showed is that Obama could not possibly be more out of touch with the everyman. While Obama likes to pretend that a small business that makes $250,000 a year is a gold mine, in the real world that just doesn’t fly. And Joe the Plumber’s incredulity helped to show that. It helped to show regular middle-class Americans that, hey, maybe Obama doesn’t stand for us so much. Lofty theories and soaring rhetoric don’t cut it in the real world when real world solutions are required.

There is nothing wrong with taxing people who make more at a higher rate. The only reason you are able to get ahead and make more money is because of the government. The government provides a legal system, which allows a place to address wrongs against you. It provides economic regulations, so that you have a fair market to provide your good or services. It provides an infrastructure, which you use every day in order to make it easier to make more money.
Without these things you would not be able to make more money. Hard work certainly plays a role in earning more, however the ability to even begin earning more starts with the protection the government gives you.
Go Joe! At last there is some attention on us regular folks. A lot of people can relate to Joe the Plumber.
mj, you’re way of thinking is off. Are you saying rich should be taxed more just because they have more?
Joe Plumber A: Sets up a lemonade stand. Sells 1 glass of lemonade for $1.00. He pays 10 cents in taxes for that sale. He pockets 90 cents.
Joe Plumber B: Sets up a lemonade stand down the street. Sells 1 glass of lemonade for $1.00. He pays 10 cents in taxes for that sale. He pockets 90 cents.
Let’s look at Joe Plumber A’s bank account. It shows he has $150 balance.
Let’s look at Joe Plumber B’s bank account. It shows he has multiple accounts each with $100K in them. He owns two businesses and was just trying to sell of his lemonade.
So, Joe Plumber B should pay more in taxes on the same $1.00 sale that A sold? Because he’s rich?
There is EVERYTHING wrong with taxing people more who make more.
By the way… I am dirt poor, and even I see how wrong it is to tax the rich more.

I’d like to know what planet you beamed down from! That is STRICTLY out of the liberal playbook, “The Gub-Mint gonna take care of you!” Every time the govt. sticks its nose into the free-market system, on the pretense of giving it “balance”, it screws things up. Look to the CRA passed in 1977 under CARTER, it sowed the seeds of the burned harvest we’re reaping today!

ALL HARD WORKING PEOPLE LIKE JOE THE PLUMBER ARE ALREADY PAYING TO MUCH TAX AND HANDING IT TO WELFARE.40% OF AMERICANS DONT PAY TAXES. STATES STOP GIVING PEOPLE MONEY THAT WONT WORK. THE 60% THAT PAY FOR THIS ARE FED UP.
So Alex. what if Joe just quits like you, or because there is no incentive does not try to earn over 250k then where are you at… looking for another handout. We have all forgotten the words of a famous Democrat “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.”

MJ-Spreading the wealth is the same as enabling those who cannot be bothered to earn their own success. Why do some people think they are entitled to getting a check for doing nothing? It’s pathetic. To those who think spreading the wealth is a good idea…you are not incapable of making your own wealth. EVERYONE is capable. Stop looking to others and it is not up to the government to decide how much money people should give away. Obama’s plan will either remove incentive to make money or force businesses to move, BOTH lead to less jobs, less money, less taxes. McCain’s plan is to increase incentive, build businesses, increase jobs, increase taxes (not in percentage per business, but in growth through more businesses and increased productivity). Obama’s plan is good only for those who have no faith in their own ability to be successful. McCain’s plan is better for the country.
I hope by now you have the truth on your, “Joe the Plumber” and realize it was all lies and just another tactic by the republicans to steal an election.

Since the Obama camp is making fun of Joe the Plumber and have worked hard to find dirt about him maybe it is time that the McCain camp find dirt on Shepard the Artist. Obama hand picked Shepard Fairey as his official campaign artist and has openly praised Shepard’s illegal activity and career. A career that has been built on violating the legal rights of other artists and visual rhetoric that promotes violence on the streets.
Why on earth did Obama make him his official campaign artist? Obama actually sent Shepard a letter praising his career and his illegal activity, like putting Obama stickers on stop signs! So does that mean that Obama supports illegal activity that cost tax payers billions per year in city clean up? Why is the media not pointing this out? Obama refuses donations from Rezko but accepts $400,000 in donations from Obama merchandise from this thug?
Shepard Fairey has made images of the White House burning in the past and images that depict President Bush being taken down. How is that not negative for this country? Better question, why does Obama praise Shepard’s career when it is been based on attacking this country and the government with visual rhetoric that is overly violent? Because he is a socialist. That is why. That is why Shepard keeps saying his work is more “positive” now. Bullocks!
Shepard Fairey’s original HOPE image of Obama is not ‘original’. It is based off of a poster that another artist made of Che in the 60s. Shepard Fairey is a copyright violator and petty criminal. Look up Rene Mederos and the work that Shepard stole from him. He does not give anyone credit unless he is caught, or “busted” as he puts it. The only copyright Shepard Fairey acknowledges is his own.
Obama has said great things about the arts and how he will fund art education and programs, but at what cost? His actions by hand picking Shepard Fairey to reperesent his campaign visually proves that he does not care about the rights of artists. Either that or he is too lazy to do a simple search for ’Shepard Fairey’ online in order to find out who exactly this art thief and criminal is. The fact that Obama does not answer his artist supporters about his thoughts on the oprhan works bill also shows that he does not care about the rights of artists. He cares about art, but not about the rights of those who create it! That is socialism my friends!

Hate to tell you I wouldnt vote for obama for the simple fact he is a socialist who has previously and reciently surrounded himself with terrorists who have not only injured and killed people in our great country (true american citizens)in the past but who wish they had killed more and stated that reciently. Also I wouldn’t want a first lady if you want to call her that. Whome has never been proud of her country. Carol I think you need to quit being racist trying to vote for a color instead of integrity.
Oh and about your comment regarding Joe the plumber, who cares what he makes there are plenty of citizens who do make more than 250,000 a year that this tax hike will effect.
IF Osama Obama wants people to embrace this plan why hasn’t he come out and stated the true effects this would have on our economy so that people who dont listen hard enough to the facts just how white his smile is will vote for him.
Dont you understand when you wake up and your alarm clock goes off your taxed for the electric when you make your coffee in the morning you were taxed on the cup you purchased to put it in and the filters to make it. The gas you put in your car to drive to work you are taxed on. when you recieve your pay check again taxed on the work you do. When after 40 years of hard taxed work and you retire you are then taxed again and when you die your family then gets to pay a death tax for you. Please listen harder to the issues at hand and vote responsibly for what will better this country.
