This is terrible. A tragedy
A Martinez womanwho used another person’s identity to get a $20,000 breast lift and tummy tuck in Greenbrae was sentenced Wednesday to nine months in the Marin County Jail.
She nearly got away with it, but a get-well bouquet and a navel itch were her undoing.
Londie Bowman, 32, will surrender at the jail in October, said her lawyer, deputy public defender Eva Bennett.
Bowman could have been sentenced to as much as four years in prison after pleading guilty last month to three counts of identity theft. Prosecutors dismissed charges of commercial burglary, possession of a forged instrument and receiving stolen property.
This is just wrong, sending her to jail. Did she really harm anyone? All she wanted was a better life. And she will be separated from her family. That is simply just cruel. Where is the sympathy for her plight? I think we should start a petition drive, and perhaps have a march. Who is there to protect her rights?
Dumb argument, right? But, those are the arguments used by those who support illegal aliens, or, as they like to call them, undocumented immigrants. People whose first action is to break federal law. Many of them are busted using stolen identities, which can do lasting harm to an Americans life. Many of them kill, rape, kidnap, rob, and do physical harm to Americans. Is anyone going to be upset about a woman being separated from her family for starving her horses or for sexually assaulting a child? Well, a liberal might, but, then, we know their view on crime includes the phrase “coddle the criminal.”
When 600 were detained in Laurel, Miss, the usual suspects gave their usual bleeding heart responses. Quite frankly, I do not care if illegals are living in a climate of fear. Good! They should. They have broken at least one federal law, and many of them are breaking many more laws, from minor to major. I have no sympathy what-so-ever for an illegal alien who was busted for carjacking and raping a woman in June.
I have no sympathy for illegals who will not be able to rent a place to live. I have no sympathy for single mothers who are illegal aliens and might be separated from their children. Hint to the illegals: you can take the anchor babies with you. And, again, I couldn’t care less if they live in fear. If you are breaking the law, you should live in fear.
Do we need to fix the immigration system? You betcha. It is broken. It is too easy for people to come illegally, it is too easy for visitors to overstay their visa - sometimes for years and decades - and it is too difficult, and expensive, for people to come legally, some for a long visit, some because they want to be citizens. Coupled with continued increased enforcement, and, in particular, targeting those who hire illegals. More focus has been placed on the employers, and, illegals are often leaving because there are no jobs.
Illegal alien sympathizers will probably complain about that, too.
Oh, BTW, don’t you just love the naughty librarian Sarah Palin?

I agree Teach….I will be right there holding a sign for justice for her as soon as I find that part of me that has sympathy for criminals.
If they dislike so deeply where they come from, and there’s obviously enough of them judging alone by the number that have been busted recently, is there some reason they can’t band together and follow in the steps of the American colonists, uprise and revolution and all that, to re-form their own country after this one that they are abusing?
I have no use for illegals. My family immigrated here relatively recently (my great-grandfather’s) but did so LEGALLY, and they weren’t even fleeing from an oppressive government (unless Canada’s oppressive???) when they chose to become American citizens.
9 months for stealing an ID and getting a boob job. Why the heck give her a break when she’s trying to screw us? Make an example of her!
My brother has cerebral palsy but is as self sufficent as he can be.
Recently he was broadsided by a car which had run a stop sign. He was hit on the passenger side, his truck struck a light pole but he was uninjured but trapped in his pickup. The driver left the scene but was caught several blocks down. The woman an illegal had SEVEN WARRANTS out for her arrest!!!!!!
Of course she had no insurance and my brother could only afford liability insurance. My family stepped in to help him. This I know is not an isolated incident and unfortunately others end tragically. HOW MUCH LONGER ARE WE GOING TO TAKE THIS?
I’m sick and tired of the media and their sob stories.
My wife is an ER Nurse and reports cases of TB and spinal meningitis is at historically high levels due to illegals. How many Americans have to suffer because our govt does nothing?
Why do we have immigration laws? It’s to protect the American people and our economy. Every nation has immigration laws that they enforce. The US already allows more legal immigration than any other nation. Americans must demand a zero tolerance to illegal immigration. Enforce our laws and prosecute those who violate them. Sanctuary cities should receive no federal funds. Employers hiring illegal aliens must be jailed and their assets seized. We can put an end to illegal immigration if we demand it from the government. It’s time every American do their part and demand it from their elected officials.
Even, if our Federal government continues to keep its head in the sand, its our STATE and LOCAL governments Job to enforce our LAWs and yes INCLUDING every AMERICAN citizen (ALL RACES) to keep out Illegal Aliens from OUR Country.
Tell your Government you are tired and want them out and the business that hire the illegals held accountable.

Yeah, its all those “dirty illegals” nevermind the fact that they come here because companies like Wal-Mart, et al. GIVE them jobs and opportunities to work here illegally. Bottom line is this: you can’t steal something being willfully given away. If it constitutes “stealing” simply because they’re brown and from another country, oops, you’re a racist S.O.B. Its our nation’s capitalist mentality, the make money at all costs attitude, that creates this situation. American companies seek to cut costs and consequently improve profits by hiring “illegal” immigrants. If you think all these companies H.R. representatives can’t figure out that their “un-intentionally” hiring illegals, you’re the one playing dumb. It isn’t that hard. Think I’m full of it? Americans do this very same practice, when marrying Canadians or sneaking into Canada for that free socialized health care American conservatives seem to think is so evil.
