Despite Assurances Of Fairness, NY Times Lies
Posted on August 18, 2008
Much has been made by the Nutroots and their compliant and in-the-tank-for-Barry media about McCain must have been cheating during the recent Saddleback “debate.” Andrea Mitchell floated the idea that McCain cheated. FiveThirtyEight is digging for dirt, and thinks they have found it. And the New York Times? Sigh. You know what is coming.
Here’s the headline: Despite Assurances, McCain Wasn’t in a ‘Cone of Silence’ by Katherine Q. Seelye
Here is her evidence
Senator John McCain was not in a “cone of silence” on Saturday night while his rival, Senator Barack Obama, was being interviewed at the Saddleback Church in California.
That’s it. That is the first paragraph of the story.
Now, I hope Katherine is making that assumption by telling us that McCain was not in the cone of silence due to him having been on the road while Barry was being interviewed. Because, according to her story, he was. But, you know that is not the way it will be spun by the Nutroots. And, perhaps I am just reading a bit too much in to it, but, know liberal bias and a liberal predilection towards conspiracy, Katherine may be saying “hey, they were lying about McCain being in the cone of silence, what else are they lying about?” Such as this MyBarryObama thread.
Anyhow, the Left is all upset over Obama getting waxed, and, from Camp McCain
Now we know why the Obama campaign has been so reluctant to put their candidate on the same stage as John McCain. The difference between the two last night was striking. While Senator Obama punted on questions of great importance to the American people, and sidestepped even simple questions about whether the United States must defeat evil, John McCain offered the straight talk voters expect of a candidate for President. Senator McCain’s responses reflected his long record of bipartisanship, the anecdotes accumulated from a lifetime of service to this country, and the depth of his experience on matters of national security.
Get Obama a waaaambulance!

PS: Michelle Malkin brings up something I have been talking about for awhile
The event wasn’t even head-to-head. How is the Obama team going to behave should The One wipe out in an official debate this fall? The wah-mbulance will be working overtime.
Barry doesn’t do well without his teleprompter and pre-vetted questions.

The con of silence, John McCone lied in a church. Good luck defending this one.
anarchist mom: Are you really an “anarchist”?
def. a person who seeks to overturn by
violence all constituted forms and
institutions of society and government,
with no purpose of establishing any
other system of order.
Is your child part of your youth anarchist movement?
I think Hitler did something like that.
Is that you fool? (ò¿ó)
McCain gives me the creeps. I can’t wait to have a brilliant mind in the oval office. Obamba ‘08
Well, him knowing the questions beats my theory that there must be 2 McCains, like twins…one unthreateningly doddering about a grocery store failing to make the word “surge” sound like it’s short for “counterinsurgency,” and the other bright, witty, articulate and dangerously neo-conservative to the hilt. But it turns out the second one is probably a fake, which is mighty reassuring to us progressives.
Let’s face it. Obama simply isn’t very bright. You could give the guy a do-over today and he wouldn’t fare any better because there is nothing in his head.
His one great talent is for being able to speak at great length on any subject without actually saying anything.
Now if you will excuse me, I am going down to NAPA autoparts to buy a copy of Obama’s energy policy…. BWAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!
jerry: if you call Obama a brilliant mind you must be Canadian (ò¿ó)
A Military Family War Hero or muslin trick baby, that’s a no brainier fool (ò¿ó)
Even Rick Warren admitted that he lied about the cone of silence. McCain was not in the building during most of Obama’s interview, so why did Warren have to lie about McCain-Obama flipping a coin and McCain being in a room within the church?
Sorry Republican’s, but the forum is completely invalidated the second cheating becomes a part of the process.

And where is the proof of cheating? Do you have proof that he listened to Obama’s segment? If there is proof, then by all means raise hell about it. Until then it makes the Obama camp look like crying children.
“It’s not fair, he cheated!” is not the cry of a good leader.
