ACLU Halts Free Speech of Gideons
Posted on June 28, 2008
I challenge some Hare Krishnas to give out free Bhagavad Gitas or Muslims to give out free Quarans at our schools. As long as the children are not forced to take one under some liberal social awareness plan, I’ll bet that no uproar will happen. However, having the Gideons pass out free New Testaments and alarm bells are sounded! How our country got to this point, I don’t know…but its sad.
Public schools in Somerset County will no longer allow a Christian organization on school grounds to distribute Bibles.
For years, The Gideons, an international Christian organization, has been passing out Bibles to interested fifth-graders. But Stephanie Kayhan says when she moved to the county three years ago, she was shocked by the Bible distribution.
Kayhan says she is a practicing Christian, but she is against Bibles being passed out on school grounds because it blurs the line between church and state. She contacted the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU then wrote a letter to the school board, stating that the distribution was unconstitutional.
Supporters of the Bible giveaways say no child was ever forced to take one.
Of course no one forced the Bible on any kid, but we see public schools forcing homosexual acceptance, and Muslim “cultural awareness” all the time. If its within the liberal guideline for indoctrination it gets the pass. The alarm bells go off when any free speech outside of their indoctrination parameters starts happening. The ACLU then come in and threaten, and effectively shut down free speech. Its really sad when someone is “shocked” at bible distrubition. The country was founded on religious freedom.

The Gideons put Bibles in hotels, too! It won’t be long before the “Separation of Hotel and State” doctrine kicks in!
How our country got to this point?
The question should be what are we going to do to take back our country?
There roughly 300 million people in the US, and 224,437,959 identify themselves as Christian .
Christians have the numbers to
take their country back from the marxist/leftist/atheists
but seem to lack the faith, courage and will to implement this task (ó¿ò)
Faith without works is dead,Prayers without action is meaningless(ò¿ó)

It’s entirely dependent on how they were distributed. I searched and could not find a single article that offered any meaningful details about this situation. You should probably save your dismay until you can talk intelligently about the situation.
Dear Stephanie Kayhan — as a practicing Christian you should feel very proud of yourself. You have helped the ACLU and its fellow travelers in their tireless efforts to eradicate all traces of Christianity from American life. Talk about useful idiots –
They did this when I was in gradeschool. They set them on a table, asked if we wanted one and if we did, we went up and got one. No speech, no sermon, nothing. Nobody forced it on us or dressed it up as some kind of educational thing (like they do with the homosexual agenda and stuff like that), they just said here, if you want one, take one.
For the record, I did take one and I still have it to this day, thirty years later.
I have a Gideon New Testament as well! I got mine while working at a large state university. It’s green and pocket sized.
The Gideon was a single man, standing between the library and bookstore, with a small box of Bibles. If you wanted one, all you had to do was ask. He said nothing.
I do remember many of the students passing by just laughed at him. That upset me.
