Governor Palin Urges Congress to Open ANWR
Posted on June 23, 2008
Awesome! Alaska Governer, and possible VP pick for McCain, writes a letter addressed to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid asking Congress to enact legislation that would allow oil and gas development in a small portion of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
In a letter addressed to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and key members of Congress, Governor Palin stressed the need to enact an energy policy that includes oil and gas production from domestic sources, since failure to enact a sound energy policy is having real-life consequences. The Governor reminded members of Congress that the footprint of development would be less than 2,000 acres. She also assured members that any development would be conducted in a responsible and environmentally safe manner.
Good move Sarah, on several fronts. I’m really starting to think this woman would be McCain’s best pick for VP. I’m on the bandwagon too!

One Response to “Governor Palin Urges Congress to Open ANWR”

If I could talk with Gov. Palin I would tell her not to accept the VP slot if McCain should offer it. McCain is going to be a disaster for the Repulican party if elected. (He will only be slightly better then Obama domestically)
I would stronlgy recommend to her that she start talking with Gov. Jindel about 2012 and which of them would be the Presidential nominee.
I think those two would crush whoever is running at that time.
I would also tell Gov. Palin to stop asking Reid and the other to drill in Anwar, and just say “We have put up with the Congress’s incompetence regarding the resources of Alaska long enough. Hello Oil companies? Come on in and start drilling at your leisure.”
Starting that fight would only enhance her for 2012.
Just my opinion of course.
