Should We Trust McCain on Appointing Judges?
Posted on June 16, 2008
McCain was not my favorite candidate for president. It was hard for me to support him. Besides how scary having Obama as president is, the only thing motivating me to support John McCain is his promise to appoint judges in the mold of Roberts and Alito. But now…how thin is this promise? Look what Jimmie at Sundries Shack found.
In his efforts to reach across the aisle and obtain some Hillary supporters, check out this tounge fork.
“He stayed for a good almost half hour afterwards shaking hands, listening to our concerns, talking to us,” said [Party Unity My As] PUMA founder Will Bower, who said he thought many of the people there would vote for McCain.
…Bower said he’d liked McCain’s answer on judges, in which he “pointed out that he supported Bill Clinton with both Ginsberg and Breyer.”
Already unpopular with Conservatives, McCain should be more careful what he lets slip off the tounge. Its quite scary with McCain’s history of embracing the left and leaving conservatives in the dry….especially after the horrible decisions from these judges recently. Second thoughts and doubts are creeping in the shadows now. They’ve been there, but are being reinforced again. Now the only motivating factor is the fear of the tragedy it would be to have Obama appointing judges, and commanding our armed forces.
Kaus expects freak out….Allahpundit is underwhelmed.

Congratulations. You’re officially casting a vote for a man solely because you hate the other man more. Why would a politician ever respect your values when he can run to the center (so long as he stays just a tiny bit to the right of the other guy) knowing that his base will follow him like lemmings off a cliff?
Say goodbye to the last of your values.
I may not vote at all. Democrats could have had an easy in if they’d have picked a blue dog instead of a radical.
Don’t be a moron. McCain voted for Ginsburg because, in his own words “elections have consequences.” I can’t imagine why so many on the right are interested in handing the White House to Obama on a silver platter, and why you and others are so excited to let the far left demoralize you.
Hey there, guys.
I’m the “Will Bower” mentioned in this article.
McCain said a *great* deal more about the issue of Supreme Court justices than this article implies.

Thank you,
