Media Hypocrisy & Barack Hussein Obama
Posted on May 15, 2008
Way back in the stone ages of the never ending election cycle we have been forced to endure, Mike Huckabee ran a Christmas ad. In it he simply wished everyone a Merry Christmas. It’s what we do in this country in winter. We wish people a Merry Christmas and over eat and buy each others love with expensive gifts we don’t need, using money we don’t have, mostly for people that would love us anyway, and if they need an expensive gift to love us well they can just go leap off a bridge then.
Anyway, when Huckabee’s ad come out there was a brouhaha over a bookcase that was lit in such a way that the front edges of it formed a cross. Whether it was intentional or not is not the point of this rant. The point of this rant is Barack Hussein Obama has a flyer out that shows him standing at a church pulpit, with a huge cross in the back ground.
Nobody has been complaining about that flyer have they? One would think Huckabee was making threats to sneak into our kids rooms at night and baptize them by the uproar over Huck’s Christmas ad, but nobody has tossed one whit of a fit over Barack Hussein Obama’s flyer trying to show him as an outstanding and upstanding Christian fellow.
Obama’s Christian message is being broadcast over the radio as well. In a Kentucky.com news story, the organization reports that “Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo, who endorsed Obama on Sunday, narrated a new radio spot for Obama that highlights the Illinois Senator’s upbringing and values, including how Obama is ‘a strong Christian.’”
First, as a Christian, let me state that one’s religious beliefs should never be excluded from political discussion. That is not the point here. The point is that Obama is blatantly campaigning not on issues, but rather on religion, and he is getting a pass from the media. Huckabee was criticized for a Christmas ad, and Obama’s blatant pandering to Evangelicals is not being covered.
That, dear readers, is hypocrisy from the media at its best.
Disgusting isn’t it?

I find all sorts of disturbing things on TV and the web that are enhanced by the media in such a way as to make anything that might be taken even slightly offensive by one person in our huge country to be blown up and out of proportion. When I come to sites like this where it’s further talked about and therefore advertised and in sites like this further politicized, i get sick to my stomach. Can we all please work together to make this a better country, not a worse one?
I find the war between the right and left within our country to be stressful and alarming. When I think of countries Rwanda, where the two major factions of folk hated each other so much that they began taking machetes to their neighbors, and i think about the direction of our own country and how the right and the left, and by that i mean the extremists such as sites like this (I happen to be a moderate republican, because reality to me means letting people live their lives, have their opinions, even if i don’t agree with them, but we do need to limit govt and limit the deadbeats (both very rich and very poor, the ones who are cheating as much as they can get away with, and believe me, the rich do it as much as the poor), it really gets people riled up to think that one side actually believes they are more right in their personal opinion than the other side. I find this site to be full of a lot of misinformation, blown out of proportion to suit your cause. Don’t you feel even a little bit dirty in spreading lies like the ACLU wants to distribute child porn?? I don’t agree w/ the ACLU either but let’s be truthful. I also do not agree with trying to say that one politician should be smeared in a tit-for-tat over what the MEDIA has launched. Maybe it should be the media that is attacked, not the good politicians who really do want to help, like Huckabee and Obama.
And finally, please stop w/ the Coulter-copying, even us on the right are tired of the Hussein thing. Blah.
Otherwise, I really like this site and thanks for putting the time and effort into it. Just hope that my comments aren’t going to offend, because if they do, I’m sure i’ll be smeared by some extreme right person, to attack me personally for being a republican who might sometimes agree with some moderate dems. Do we all need to think the same in order to live here?
Apples and Oranges.
Huckabee is a fundamentalists who does not hide the fact the he believes that our country is a Christian country, which it isn’t. His election as President would have set back religious freedom 200 years.
Obama is a Christian, just like Huckabee, only not as absurd with it. Obama understands the work of our forefathers and how important it is to respect the beliefs of others.
It is hilarious to see folks such as yourself label Obama as a terrorist while supporting Huckabee who believes that his brand of supernatural beliefs trumps all others and should be interjected into our free society and our government. Not unlike the Taliban. Hypocrisy abounds.
Let me take these one at a time;
Lucy, it is not that we here at this site believe we are right, we KNOW we are right, and the left and the ACLU is wrong. We are where we are because of 30 years of multicultural BS that follows the belief that all cultures are equal and all are deserving of the same respect.
That is patently not true? Would you like to live in the culture of Afghanistan and be forced to wear a burkha? Women in muslim controlled countries have no rights. How is that equal to the U.S. where you can dress as you please, talk as you please and worship (or not) as you please?
As an aside the ACLU doers not want to distribute child porn, they want to protect child porn creators. Get that one straight doll, and pray nobody ever gets hold of your daughter and molests her, with a camera or without. Pedophiles should be locked away for the rest of their life when they are caught, period.
Stacy, I do not recall anyone here supporting Huckabee….We were pretty much firmly in the camp of the only true conservative running, Fred Dalton Thompson.
Nobody here has labeled barack a terrorist. He hangs out with terrorists. He has them as friends and mentors.. He has shown himself more likely to side with muslims than American citizens, but nobody here has called him a terrorist, so put away the lies and learn to stick to the point of the article, which was Huckabee getting raked over the coals for a POSSIBLE cross in his ad while Barack gets a pass for outright pandering.
By the way, if you are born to a muslim that makes you a muslim, as I read the koran, and if you go away from the muslim faith you become an apostate who deserves to die, so if barack is a fallen muslim which makes him an apostate why do so many muslims in other countries support him?
It is either because they know something we don’t, or they are hypocrites…since they strive to not be hypocrites by following their book to the letter and beheading evil young girls who happen to be Christian I am betting they know something we don’t.
I was firmly stuck to the fragile point of the article.
Huckabee never hid the fact that he would like to inject his brand of the supernatural whenever possible, so he was a sitting duck with the window cross.
Obama was never trying to shove his beliefs down the throats of the voters, so it wasn’t an issue. That is only my opinion of why there was no upheavel over Obama by those other than the Conservatives.
And despite your semantics with “being” a terrorist or “affiliating” with terroists, the intent is clear.
Believing that being a Muslim makes you a terrorist is ridiculous.
KENDER SAID:
……so if barack is a fallen muslim which makes him an apostate why do so many muslims in other countries support him?…….
How many Muslims support Obama?
No answer needed…rhetorical.
Do you believe everything in the Old Testament too?
You don’t have to answer that one either.
I think most people realize exactly the “kind” of Christian Snobama is. Doesn’t every church preach hatred of other races, the jews, the government?
Whenever I see the trolls tell us about working together I’d like to see one thing the dhimmirats have ever compromised on.
Lower taxes, gun rights, abortion, less regulation, affirmative action, queer agenda?
The only people these trolls work for is the politboro.
Stacy, your ignorance astounds me. It is truly breathtaking in its scope, and your bravado for thrusting it into our faces should be commended for the act of sheer stupidity that it is.
Bravo, Huzzah and you Go Girl.
See this article here that shows the muslim support and backing obama is getting.
This is what it said, and I only quote it in case you are so enthralled living in the State Of Perpetual Ignorance that you refuse to learn the facts.
