The Aztlan Civil Liberties Union

Everyone knows that the ACLU are advocates for illegal immigration and open borders, but this takes the cake.
In a historic agreement to pursue joint strategies to protect the human rights of migrants moving across the Mexico-United States border, the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties and the Comision Nacional de Derechos Humanos today signed a document declaring common goals and principles to address the serious human rights issues.
The Memorandum of Agreement between the two organizations charges the parties jointly to explore legal actions to challenge Operation Gatekeeper and other programs that have contributed to migrant deaths, and to educate a transnational audience about the issue of human rights tragedies at the border. More than $30 billion dollars have been spent on Gatekeeper since its inception, but the program has done little to prevent illegal entries—it has simply shifted them to the mountains and deserts east of San Diego, where migrants face much harsher conditions in remote, environmentally hostile areas.
The agreement was developed in reaction to the continually mounting death toll of now more than 5,000 migrants along the border, as well as the challenge of advocating on these issues effectively from just one side of the border. With respect to abuses by federal law enforcement agencies, for example, U.S. federal agencies have acted with immunity and a complete lack of transparency.
Kevin Keenan, Executive Director of the ACLU-San Diego and Dr. José Luis Soberanes, President of the Comisión, signed the agreement at the “Justice in Mexico: Evaluating National and Local Strategies” conference at the Joan Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Diego.
“Through this collaboration we hope to build bridges of understanding and justice, and tear down walls of prejudice and hate,” said Dr. Soberanes. “It is intolerable that our two civilized nations have allowed so many deaths of migrants along the border since the adoption of Operation Gatekeeper,” said Keenan. “By working together with Mexico’s Human Rights Commission, we will hold our governments to account in ways that we could not do alone.” David Shirk, Director of the Trans-Border Institute that hosted the conference, said, “We are pleased to serve as the backdrop for the signing of this historic agreement, and hope that this partnership will lead to a reversal of the tragic trends that have plagued our two nations in recent years.”
The agreement calls for the organizations to host an invitation-only conference of experts in June to focus on bi-national advocacy strategies for attacking inhumane policies affecting migrants, especially deaths from border crossings; to meet again following the U.S. elections in November to update its plans; to cooperate on other lawsuits, advocacy efforts, and educational campaigns on a case-by-case basis; and to seek funding for these efforts in their respective countries. The ACLU of San Diego is not receiving funding from any Mexican source for its work.
In other words, the ACLU has once again put American soverignty at risk for its own agenda. It is working with a foreign government to litigate against and undermine the enforcement of our laws. What a bunch of crap.
The San Diego chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is now working with directly with Mexico’s Human Rights Commission, a quasi-governmental group that’s independent from but funded by the Mexican government. The ACLU is a very strong supporter of illegal immigration but in the past the only known link between them and the Mexican government was indirect. Any future news report on the ACLU’s efforts regarding immigration should mention their new direct link, and if it doesn’t please contact the news source’s editor. They should also be asked about this at public meetings or whereever else they discuss these issues
This also follows Mexican president Felipe Calderon stating that they’re going to use U.S. non-profits to push their agenda inside the U.S.
The release from aclusandiego.org/news_item.php?article_id=000383 is in the extended entry; note that they incorrectly blame border deaths on attempts to enforce our laws, when the actual culprits include those like the ACLU who take every step possible to encourage and enable illegal immigration. They’ll be working together to “explore legal actions” against Operation Gatekeeper. They also say that the “ACLU of San Diego is not receiving funding from any Mexican source for its work”, hinting that even they know what they’re doing is wrong.
Michelle Malkin says: The ACLU should just drop the A.
Indeed. Unless of course it stands for…Aztlan Civil Liberties Union!

ACLU is nothing more but organized crime supporter.
This shocks you? The ACLU’s prime mission is to destroy the US as a nation state and as a culture. They will use any means short of a stand up fight to achieve their ends.
ACLU- Ahole Communist Legal Underworld
When are we going to get our country back?
The Mexicans demand ,command’violate, invade murder rape steal ,commit fraud, steal ,identies, cars ,rape 4 yr. old girls, and George Bush is their leader. It’s his fault and it makes me sick.
The ACLU and La Raza tie neck and neck as the most dangerous organizations in this country. Isn’t it strange that the only borders in question are ours? Will Mexico open its borders to its southern neighbors?
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
The Secure Fence Act of 2006 called for the construction of:
745 miles of double-layered reinforced fencing
300 miles of vehicle barriers,
105 camera and radar towers
roads, lighting, cameras and sensors to establish “operational control.”
Homeland Security has since whittled down the project, saying it now plans to build:
370 miles of single-tier pedestrian fencing
300 miles of vehicle barriers by the end of this year.
In the two ares whwre sections of the double-layer fence have been built, San Diego, and San Luis (Yuma), it brought illegal immigration to a screeching halt.
WE WANT 745 miles of double-layered reinforced fencing, AS PROMISED TWICE, OR WAS IT THREE TIMES??
ACTION ALERT! Fence by Date Certain Act would mandate border security!
Representative Walter B. Jones (R-NC) has introduced HR 4987, the Fence by Date Certain Act, legislation that would require construction of a double-layered fence along the U.S.-Mexico border by June 30, 2009.
The bill requires more than 700 miles of fence construction along border locations in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Several high-usage locations would have earlier completion mandates in 2008.
HR 4987 would largely reinstate language that was included in the Secure Fence Act that became law in October 2006. Congress then passed, and the President signed, the Fiscal Year 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill, which included language that effectively gutted the Secure Fence Act. This bill would remedy the situation.
ACTION NEEDED
Tell your Congressional Representative that Americans demand an effective fence and want it built now. Send a fax or an e-mail by entering your ZIP Code and clicking “Go!” below.

I’ve had it with the ACLU and illegals coming into our country from any country by any illegal means. What can a citizen do to help “disband” this communist organization and why can’t the government shut them down? There has to be some laws they’ve broken as much harm as they’ve created for the country. We’re being attached from within and everyone seems to have shut their eyes.
Americans who are clueless get what they deserve. For example, how can an organization that searches throughout the nation, for tiny crosses to remove on buildings, that offend only the ACLU, apparently. How about an organization that has nothing better to do than spy on American citizen Minutemen/women patriots who are sitting on lawn chairs, with binoculars, within the borders of their own nation, drinking cola and calling the border patrol when they spot people breaking into the U.S.–a crime against U.S. immigration law? How about an organization that goes to every city that is riddled with crime and protects, the criminals from the citizens. How about an organization that fights special order 40 in Los Angeles, so that the police cannot inquire as to someones immigration status until that person commits a crime, even if they know that person is a habitual criminal, rapist, murderer–makes no difference to the ACLU. So those who continue to defend such an organization, will receive what they quite rightly deserve.
I agree with every word Bobby said except the fact that not only will those who continue to defend the ACLU get what they deserve - we are against the ACLU are the ones on the receiving end of their actions.
The honest, God-fearing American can’t spit without them trying to put us in prison or enact another law to prevent our freedoms.
Jorge Bush, Juan McAmnesty, the Hilda-beast and Osama/Obama are all for continuing the mass population transference that is so called immigration from Mexico.
It’s a deal, done by our elites in DC and Mexico’s elites, they ship their peasants to our country, where our low-class employers hire them using fake or stolen ID’s, commit social security fraud, drive without a license, etc.
The question for Americans is: Do you want your home town to become Tijuana? Because unless this Mexican invasion is stopped or greatly slowed down, your home town will become Tijuana.
I just read Obama’s reason for not saluting the flag during the National Anthem. He “doesn’t like the song”. He says, “bombs bursting in air” promotes war, therefore, he cannot display his approval. What a bunch of crap!!!! According to some missionaries in Kenya, Obama’s relatives are in the middle of the chaos there and he talks with them every day. He’s measuring for curtains in the White House (have to change that too) and Ayers and Wright will be two of his cabinet members. God have mercy on us all is Obama is elected. With Palosi and Co. there won’t be a thing anyone can do to stop them.
The ACLU is a criminal Communist-backed org dedicated to the destruction of America. They should all be run out of town on a rail, but barring that, the FBI should investigate them for RICO violations. Michael Savage has long talked about this as a way of bringing them down. Once they are brought down, others seditious anti-America groups will be brought down. Judicial Watch is our savior in fighting the ACLU and deserves our money and support.
Had enough? You can help take OUR country back by voting in November for Ron Paul. If his name isn’t on the ballot, write him in!
There is Hope for America.
RON PAUL for President in 2008!

“Through this collaboration we hope to build bridges of understanding and justice, and tear down walls of prejudice and hate,” said Dr. Soberanes.
This is hypocrisy so typical of “Latino” activists. They invade our country and demonstrate disrespect bordering with hate of our laws, language, and culture, and when we try to stop them from ripping us of the country we built here, they charge us with “prejudice and hate”
As if it was our moral duty to welcome invaders, lawbreakers, and claimants of our wealth.
