she has a point…obama is where he is because this country has some stupid guilt complex and is backing obama simply because it gives them the ability to state “I can’t be racist because I support a black man for president.”

Should rhoades be fired? Who cares? The ten people that listen to her are the only ones that will miss her.

  2. dyna chrome on April 3rd, 2008 9:50 pm

She was just drunk again. Pathetic dem-o-rats gnawing on each other

  3. NickAtNight on April 3rd, 2008 9:59 pm

    Ferraro is pathetic.

She doesn’t get why her statement was so offensive. Ferraro’s statements were RASCIST.

Obama is where he is, not because he is black - as Ferraro is stating - because he is the best candidate.

Oh, she is blaming the response on Obama again. She can’t even acknowledge her own Racism. She thinks Obama won simply because of his skin color and not because of the quality of his talk.

  4. Jay on April 3rd, 2008 10:02 pm

I think she thinks that because there is NO quality to his talk, only glitter.

  5. katiewithroses on April 3rd, 2008 10:20 pm

    Nick,

Please, what racism? Ferraro is simply saying that, at this point in the history of our country, Americans are ready to accept the Obama candidacy with enthusiasm. As many were willing to accept a Hillary candidacy enthusiastically. TWO historical
figures had an equally good shot at the White House. And for the first time, being male or being white, was NOT a requirement.

Did Obama cause this change? Or Hillary? Not at all. Years & years of gradual change in American demographics have done it. Legislation has done it. Expanded media outlets have done it. WE have changed and Obama is at the right place at the right time.

Do you honestly think that if Obama was running in 1964, he would be the presumed nominee, no matter how elegant “his talk”?

There’s no racism here. Simply an acknowledgement that America is ready for
    this sea change.

Geraldine is right. If Obama were some white-punk junior congressman, there is no way he’d have gotten this far. His race DOES play a role. Hell, it’s been just as much of a hyped-up factor to potentially have the first “black president” (never mind that he’s half black; he has chosen a black identity) as it is to have the first woman president. It’s just a statement of fact. Nothing racist about it. The people that want to call that observation racist are, in fact, racist themselves.

  7. Vincent Ford on April 3rd, 2008 10:28 pm

Maybe Randi had a point! Rarely have I seen such an IDIOT as Ferraro! I’m black and have no intention of voting for Obama, because I would never affirm a baby killing sodomite rights advancing, loon of the liberal fringe. That said, there can be no doubt that he is the BEST orator to come out of the DemoNcratic Party in like FOREVER! He speaks better than ANYONE who has EVER run for office in their party INCLUDING Billy boy himself! For this mad shrew of a corrupted piece of crap known as Ferraro, not to realize this shows her for what she has always been A RACIST piece of feculent waste.

    First amendment? Spare us.

The woman is an employee and as such should represent her employer’s standards (standards, mind you, not policy) in any public venue.

Therefore, it’s up to her employer to decide if she, in fact, has done that.

But her first amendment rights got zippy to do with anything.

Obama could talk like God’s First Choir of Angels and if this was 1956, he’d be singing do wop in downtown Philly.

i have the popcorn ready…..this is going to be good.
    the rumble of the ‘rats……….

  11. leftnomore on April 4th, 2008 1:33 am

If Obama is the first (half) black candidate, then Hillary is the first (half) female candidate. And yes, both are!

  12. RightWingRocker on April 4th, 2008 3:46 am

It’s time for America to stop following those who seek to tear her down, whether inadvertently or deliberately.

People like Ferarro and Hillary enabled the race baiters over the years. The Chickens have come home to roooooost.

  14. KansasGirl on April 4th, 2008 6:52 am

The Democrat Party IS the party of racism, also has been. This is “sooo” funny. Please, keep it up.

  15. Artie Curtis on April 4th, 2008 8:01 am

Greg R is right - the white punk he’s talking about is John Edwards. He spent most of his only term in the Senate (much like Obama has done) running for president.
Call me what you want - I dont care. The truth is the truth.

  16. OMMAG on April 4th, 2008 8:47 am

Ok … so Rhodes who has been doing exactly the same thing directs her juvenile thoughts and potty mouth commentary at the Dems ….. and NOW she gets suspended!
    Makes sense …
she’s clearly off the reservation and HAS to be fired. Air America is exclusively a Bush BAshing LIberal Democrat boosting organization.

  17. OMMAG on April 4th, 2008 8:48 am

Same thing for years … corr…

  18. E Buzz Miller on April 4th, 2008 10:24 am

She’s right, Obama is where he’s at because he is black.

    It’s obvious.

  19. harkin on April 4th, 2008 12:10 pm

    Earth to Don Surber,

Better read the constitution again, it guarantees Rhodes’ right to spew her hateful rant without fear of government prosecution, not from her employer holding her to a standard of conduct.

Why are there so many Rhodes’ supporters who have no clue on freedom of speech?

  20. Gribbit on April 4th, 2008 2:43 pm

    Reality to harkin,

Rhodes was speaking on behalf of her employer. Her employer has the right to suspend or fire her for the comments that she made. She is supposed to be a representative of her employer (as lame as they are) and her Constitutional rights only protect her in the public sphere. Granted, if Error Amerika were to stand by her, your argument may be correct, but they aren’t.

You need to learn where the Constitution’s boundaries are because, there ARE boundaries.

  21. hss46 on April 4th, 2008 3:31 pm

Give me a break. If Ferraro can make her comments, including on air remarks, that Obama is playing the race card, that Obama is the front runner because he’s black, why is she immune from criticism from the left of AirAmerica? It can’t be that Democrats care that the criticism included off-air use of expletives? (Which of course makes the comparison to Imus out of place.) No I think she is just exploiting the media attention for the political advantage of her candidate. And why not, isn’t that the American way!

  22. Tom on April 4th, 2008 3:47 pm

Well, technically Harkin is correct as far as the Constitution goes. However, she can’t just say what she wants without worrying about consequences. That has nothing to do with the Constitution as long as the consequences aren’t coming from the government.

  23. Tani on April 4th, 2008 3:57 pm

Operation Chaos is in full force!!!! LOL!!! Thanks Maja Rushie!!! The Democrat idiots are imploding!

  24. Dave on April 4th, 2008 4:44 pm

How do we make race bating out of nothing? GF simply stated an obvious fact. I have totally disliked her positions on a lot of things over the years but on this one she is totally right.

  25. harkin on April 4th, 2008 9:13 pm

    Thanks Tom,

After reading Gribbit’s post I seriously think he/she misread what I typed. lol

What really got up my nose was RR comparing Hillary to the Evildoer Personified - Cheney.
When I hear that I realized RR was in deep doo doo. She doesn’t appear to have any respect for her listeners with her ‘ho-hum’, ‘ya-ya’ responses to callers, or to the candidates who are putting their lives on the line for a very thankless job.

  27. Charles on April 4th, 2008 11:39 pm

Randi is right…Hillary is a whore and would do…say…sell…anything to get elected President…we don’t need (and can’t afford) another president who only cares about himself and not what is best for the country.

  28. Penny on April 5th, 2008 4:01 pm

Ferraro’s quotes were not at all racist. Even Obama agrees with Ferraro.

Obama acknowledges, with no small irony, that he benefits from his race. If he were white, he once bluntly noted, he would simply be one of nine freshmen senators, almost certainly without a multimillion-dollar book deal and a shred of celebrity. Or would he have been elected at all?
    http://obama.senate.gov/news/050626-when_it_comes_to_race_obama_ma/

It was actually Axelrod, Obama’s campaign manager, who pulled Ferraro’s partial quotes out of the bowels of the local media and thrust them into the national media JUST to call her racist. They did the same thing to Bill and the Jackson comment (which Jackson doesn’t even think was racist).

Obama’s team race baited. Ferraro should apologized to by the Obama camp.

Randi should be fired and Clinton should sure her because she has on more than one occasion used slander against Clinton by using her twisted interpretations of Clinton’s words as facts. Randi leads the charge on doing this kind of tactic on the left and that has hurt Clinton’s chances of being president. Fire her, sue her and shut this obnoxious woman up.

  29. KJ23 on April 9th, 2008 3:28 pm

Somehow i’am begginning to think Rev Retard would be screaming for Limbaugh to be fired if he called hillary a whore.

  30. Geo. Bush on April 10th, 2008 3:27 pm

If you numbskulls think the jerks who own AirHead America are liberals, you’re as smart as I think you are. Randi told those jerks to take that job and shove it. Because of that, the fake liberal AirHead America is done for!! We true liberal will go with Randi wherever she goes, just like we did with Mike Malloy. To all you right-wing idiots here, you need to find a few brain cells and stop listening to stupid lying idiots Rush Limppauge et.al.

  31. John on April 14th, 2008 11:44 am

Are all conservatives racist AND stupid? Rev, you ripped ‘em up by making perfect sense. Go Rev.
