New General Election Ad For John McCain

Posted on March 28, 2008

From Wake up America

While the Democratic contenders are still battling it out with each other, John McCain is giving us a sneak preview at the campaign strategy that will be used during the general election.

The ad, is called “624787, which was John McCain’s Navy serial number. The narrator is Powers Boothe, who is an American movie actor in which one of his more recent roles was of Cy Tolliver in the HBO series ‘Deadwood’.

The text of the ad reads:

John McCain: Keep that faith. Keep your courage. Stick together. Stay strong. Do not yield. Stand up. We’re Americans. And we’ll never surrender.

Announcer: What must a president believe about us? About America?

That she is worth protecting?

That liberty is priceless?

Our people, honorable?

Our future, prosperous, remarkable and free?

And, what must we believe about that president?

What does he think?

Where has he been?

Has he walked the walk?

Interviewer: What is your rank?

John McCain: Lt. Commander in the Navy.

Interviewer: And your official number?

John McCain: 624787

Announcer: John McCain

The American president Americans have been waiting for.

John McCain: “I’m John McCain and I approve this message.”

It is believed that this ad is targeted against Barack Obama, understanding that Obama is favored to become the Democratic nominee.

McCain is already drawing comparisons between himself and Obama which can be seen clearly in the reference to walking the walk.

So the Democratic contenders are still battling it out with each other, sniping, fighting and generally tearing each other to shreds and John McCain is left with the time to launch his new campaign strategy that will be used during the general election.

Perhaps even given the idea from Hillary Clinton’s own words when she said, “I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House and Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.”

She was highly criticized for that when she said it, and John McCain is smart to use that same theme because during the general election, if Obama does win the Democratic nod, then McCain will not be the only one pointing out Obama’s lack of experience because there are soundbites, news reports and video of Hillary Clinton making the very same argument.

Clinton will not be able to take those words back and it will be very powerful in the general election to see McCain and Hillary, (via the video clip) arguing that Barack Obama, hasn’t walked the walk and doesn’t have the lifetime experience that John McCain does.

A very good, powerful ad and we can expect to see Obama/Clinton supporters talking about it shortly……5….4…..3….2….1

[Update] It starts.

Well, NOT being a supporter of either of the Elites that are running for Dictator-in-Chief, I’m going to rip this ad.

This ad could have been made for Mussolini. And don’t give me this “i’m trashing the troops” crap either. No Way in Hell, did our Founding Fathers, want someone like this in the White House.

Another thing I want to bring up here. I see that, and rightfuly so, the site trashing Oumbo’s paster. But NO ONE, is going after McStain, WHO SOUGHT, Mr. John “We must defend Israel, even if it means Killing Catholics “the whore of Babylon”Hagee. Why, isn’t there an OUTCRY, from SO-CALLED Conservatives???

    The Hypocrisy is sickening.

    RegularRon,

When you can show that McCain had the same level of personal interaction for 20 years with Hagee, including appointing him to his Presdential campaign, that Obama had with Wright then you might have a point. Until then there is no equivalency at all…and any thinking person knows it.

By the way, are you what Obama calls “a typical white person”? Sounds a bit like Barry internalized some of his pastor’s sermons and attitudes.

No equivalency? Seeking a man’s endorsment is right up there in my eyes. A man, who on record, has said the samethings (in my eyes) as that moron Wright.

You have one claiming that that blacks are “under attack from whitey”, and the other claiming that my faith is the Whore of Babylon, the Holy Father is the Anti-Christ, and gosh darn it, I’m going to be “Left Behind”.

Am I a “typical white person”? Well,if I go with what Wright said, I’m a “Garlic Nose”.

I don’t see how an endorsement from someone is anywhere close to the equivalency of a candidate choosing a radical pastor as their personal spiritual mentor and putting them on their campaign. You can have someone endorse you that you don’t agree with. When you choose to attend a church that preaches radical views there is a certain amount of acceptance and tolerance of those views.
