CBS Exposes Hillary’s Exaggerations on Foreign Policy
Posted on March 24, 2008
This is absolutely hillaryous!
The Clinton campaign says Senator Hillary Clinton may have “misspoke†recently when she said she had to evade sniper fire when she was visiting Bosnia in 1996 as first lady.
She has been using the episode as an example of her foreign policy bona fides.“I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia,†she said last week. “There was a saying around the White House that if a place was too small, too poor, or too dangerous, the president couldn’t go, so send the First Lady.
“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.â€
But her account has been challenged, first by Sinbad, the comedian, who traveled with her, and then by news organizations, most notably the Washington Post, which awarded her four “Pinnochios†[sic] which it gives for major “whoppers.â€
Wow! She was in such danger that she had her fifteen year old daughter in tow! After Sinbad called her bluff she tried to lie out of the lie and now she says she mispoke. Haven’t we heard this “defintion of is” before? The CBS video above blows her lie out of the water and opens the door for the conversation on foreign policy, an obvious plus for only one candidate…and it aint Obama….though he can benefit from this exposed lie as well.
Even the generous Anchoress surrenders the benefit of the doubt:
Okay…giving her the benefit of a doubt…she took her daughter to this very dangerous “combat zone,†(where neither of them wore protective headgear) fine. What kind of judgment that shows is debatable, but fine. But as to the “misspeak†- well, heck, I misspeak every day; everyone does. To “misspeak†is to say “she’s a typical white person†when you mean to say “she is typical of some white people of that generation…â€
When you’re saying “we ducked and ran and had to cancel the welcoming ceremony,†that’s much more than a misspeak.
Yeesh, I’m not sure how you can stretch the meaning of “misspoke†that far without it snapping and taking out everyone in a fifty-foot radius. That’s like trying to shove an elephant into a tube skirt. I can’t imagine what horrible thing “misspoke†did to Howard Wolfson to be abused that badly in public.
Bravo Hillary! If anyone can bring down your campaign, you can. Yes, you can! The only reason this isn’t news is that its what we’ve come to expect from the Clintons.
Say, what is it about these politicians not knowing when to stop digging?

Now dang it you leave my hilly alone…I am certain if she says that’s the way she remembers it then that is exactly how it happened in her head.
It aint nice to make fun of the mantally challenged you know….
The fact that she told that story once was bad enough. But she was too prideful to bail out when Sinbad called her on it. Now the videos and such just make a mockery of her. Oh, the schadenfreude!
So- Hillary was there Who cares if there was no sniper fire at the time; I’m sure the possibility of suvh eas a reality.
And-where was Obama? He wasn’t going into war torn areas or talking with Kosovites or military abroad.
He was wheeling and dealing in Chicago and attending church with Wright.
I can only point out the difference between a mis-spoke and a lie; if you’re a Republican you lied, if you’re a Democrat you mis-spoke.
