Frank Zappa Discusses First Amendment

Posted on March 7, 2008

Great flashback for a Friday night! Frank Zappa discusses government censorship, rock music and the first amendment. Very interesting conversation going on here. Some very testy subject matter for a 1986 Crossfire.

Thanks to Dan for this one.

I’m curious as to how the regular contributors to this site will react to this. Zappa was very liberal in some of his views but was also very opposed to government control and intervention. Frank was against organized religion but at the same time was very spiritual and did not seek to limit anyones right to believe as they choose. Which is more than I can say for some on the far right. Anyway watch the show, if the whole thing is not posted here it is available on Goggle Video. I also think it’s hysterical to watch Novac argue his point after he was used to punish Joseph Wilson for speaking the truth and exercising his right to free speech. Let the comments roll, and in the words of Frank Zappa. “Watch out where the huskies go and don’t you eat that yellow snow.”
