Kos is Obviously Not a Good Strategist

Cross-posted from Right on the Right. For the sake of full disclosure, my dream tickets are Romney/Thompson and Thompson/Romney, so I do have a horse in this race, but the article stands as a piece of pre-election analysis

Markos Moulitsas is an ideologue, not a strategist. A strategist would know that isolating Lieberman from the rest of the party would only serve to empower his independent tendancies. A strategist would also know that tricking Democrats into backing a handsome, rich, well-spoken Conservative in a desperate ploy to beat the perceived Republican front-runner would backfire. Let Kos plan away:

ROTR- The Man Behind Daily KosIn 1972, Republican voters in Michigan decided to make a little mischief, crossing over to vote in the open Democratic primary and voting for segregationist Democrat George Wallace, seriously embarrassing the state’s Democrats. In fact, a third of the voters (PDF) in the Democratic primary were Republican crossover votes. In 1988, Republican voters again crossed over, helping Jesse Jackson win the Democratic primary, helping rack up big margins for Jackson in Republican precincts. (Michigan Republicans can clearly be counted on to practice the worst of racial politics.) In 1998, Republicans helped Jack Kevorkian’s lawyer — quack Geoffrey Feiger — win his Democratic primary, thus guaranteeing their hold on the governor’s mansion that year.

With a history of meddling in our primaries, why don’t we try and return the favor. Next Tuesday, January 15th, Michigan will hold its primary. Michigan Democrats should vote for Mitt Romney, because if Mitt wins, Democrats win.

Democrats view Mitt Romney as weak? They’re fooling themselves. A friend of mine close to the Republican Party thinks that the Democrats will try to run the same “He’s a flip-flopper” campaign that we successfully destroyed Kerry with, but there are some key differences here. John Kerry flipped, flopped, and flipped again. Mitt Romney has consistently shifted rightward throughout his career. John Kerry was an ugly, boring, dull, unlikeable man. Mitt Romney is an intelligent, articulate, likeable Conservative. Let Kos plan, it’ll only hurt their chances in November.

If he could follow his own logic, kos would ask Dems to vote for Ron Paul. Paul is this year’s Wallace.

Moulitsas is not only an idealogue and a poor strategist, he’s also the political equivalent of Chris Crocker.

He’s about as masculine as Crocker, too.

When last we heard from Moulitsas, he was cheering on the murders of American civilians in Iraq. He is a long-time member of the “Blame America First” club.
Newsweek just underscored its own anti-American bias by hiring this creep as a columnist.
