Tomorrow Night: Wyoming!

ROTR- Wyoming, a State Fred Can WinTwo of my favorite candidates, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson, are both in the running for a win in Wyoming tomorrow night. Wyoming bumped their caucuses up, and are largely being ignored, but 12 of their 14 delegates (half their normal total, they’ve been penalized), are at stake. If I was in the Romney or Thompson campaign, I’d make a minor hoopla about the thing before the potential win. Via NRO:

Who wins is anybody’s guess, as no polls have been conducted or released. The Billings Gazette notes, “some Republican committee members say a couple of candidates - Romney and Thompson - may be rising to the top.”

One positive is that Mary Matalin, the former Cheney (Wyoming native) advisor, has been calling Wyoming on behalf of Fred. On the disappointment front, Fred Thompson’s website has no apparatus set up for the common folks to phone for Fred in the state. If he really wants to shock the world and run a different kind of campaign, he’d make a big deal about every contest, especially contests he might win.

Everything I’ve seen so far points to Romney, but anything could happen.

A win for Romney could provide a minor momentum boost heading into New Hampshire.
