Philadelphia Boy Scouts Face Eviction Over Anti-Gay Policy

The Philadelphia Boy Scouts could find themselves booted from their historic dowtown headquarters Monday unless a dispute with City Hall over the group’s anti-gay policies is resolved.
The Cradle of Liberty Council—Philadelphia’s Boy Scout chapter—has been housed in an historic building in downtown Philly for almost 80 years, paying almost nothing for the prime piece of proprety under the terms of a 100-year sweetheart lease it inked with the city in 1928. But that lease is set to expire, and city officials say the taxpayer’s shouldn’t be footing the Scouts rent bill because of it’s national policy banning openly gay members and leaders. The Scouts must either pony up the fair market rent for the space—about $200,000 a year—or find a new home.
“If they want to accept the national policies of the Boy Scout organization they have to be able to pay for it,” said Philadelphia City Councilman Jack Kelly.
According to a letter the Boy Scouts received from City Solicitor Rome Diaz, the Boy Scouts have until Dec. 3 to sign a new lease and start paying for the use of the property, or the city will find a new tennant and the scouts will be evicted.
Diaz, who is openly gay, refused FOX News’ request for an interview.
Cradle of Liberty Council member John Braxton, a retired judge and former Eagle Scout, said the Scouts can’t afford the steep rent increase. He said the Scouts’ policy on gays is “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
“I have known persons who have been gay within our scouting program,” Braxton said. “We never ran them out. They’re Eagle scouts, they’re achievers, and what they do in their personal sexual life is not an issue within their scouting life,” he said.
Wonder whats next for the militant homosexual agenda? Maybe kicking our troops off the military bases? Oh well, the Boy Scouts continue to stand by their principles.
Why is the government charging this based on their exclusion of gays as discrimination and not girls? Perhaps they should start their own organization. The gay scouts. If they excluded straights I guarantee no one would complain.

This is one instance wherein the scouts need to stand their ground. They have adhered to an oath and law regarding personal conduct. In fact it is the scout policy not to talk sex with the boys. Organized homosexual groups want to force them to accept active homosexuals in violation of their belief system and to have sentisitivity training for the scouts on the subject of homosexuality.
80% of scout parents do not want their teenage sons taken out on overnight campouts or to be in close quarters with sodomite ‘men’ who have disordered sexual attractions to males. Neither do they want their sons taught that deviant and filthy acts like homoanal sodomy are right or good or healthy or normal. Neither do they want their sons taught that deviant sexual acts, which go against what their religions teach, are Godly.
This is a free country. Scout parents have a right to choose what their children will be taught regarding sexual morality, and to keep them safe from potential homo predators.
Sodomites can start their own scout organization whenever they want, and teach their charges that homoanal sodomy is good and right.
My sons won’t be joining, and I would guess not many others would either.

Further, Philadephia is a city that now actively promotes and glorifies anal sodomy among men. One of the most barbaric and filthy and depraved acts that men may engage in is now a sacrament in Philadelphia - which actively promotes such.
I say let Philadephia have the building which the scouts built, and let that city dishonorably break its agreement with the scouts, and let that city choose sexual perversion of the most degraded sort over the Boy Scouts.
They will get their reward in the end.
The scouts should stop trying to accommodate and negotiate with evil, and should just get another headquarters, and leave the perverts to their own degradations.

The people of Philadelphia seem to be backing the militant homosexual agenda.
The leadership of my son’s scout troop was attacked by militant liberals and homosexuals because it upholds the scout ban on sodomite scoutmasters (and refused to countenance a sodomite assistant scoutmaster). (You wouldn’t believe the madness in the eyes of these people.) How do you deal with them? You simply say “No.”
But as a result - three new scout troops were formed in my town (which now has five), and parents are flocking to enroll their sons. Why? They trust the scouts to have the common sense and moral backbone to know that sexual deviants should not be allowed access to teenage boys.
One of my sons is an Eagle scout - and the other is about to become one. The Boy Scouts is one of the very best programs there is for helping form strong, moral and brave young men.

As an openly gay man I´m not too happy about the BSA
policy on on having gay youth in their program. I would
hope that they will change their policy voluntarily.
I oppose any attempt by the courts to force them to
change. It is un-American. Secondly, They have legal
document, their lease. They should fight in court the
City of Philadelphia to honor the balance of the lease.
When the lease terminates the City has the right to
charge the going rate and the scouts could either
sign or look for a new location.
What I want to know is how a filthy immoral Homo who is in a position of high power in a major American city like Filthadelphia get away with abusing the power of his office to blackmale and coerce the Boy Scouts into chaging their beliefs to mirro that of the sick Homo agenda???????

It is considered tyranny when they do it as it is a violation of the right to speech. They can of course treat the Boy Scouts equal to any other group but to treat them different under the law because of what they say is highly questionable behavior.
I would like to vent my total disgust for the city of Philadelphia and her goverment. The BSA has been and always will be a group of moral and ethical practices based on a belief that duty to GOD and country are paramount. We live by a code and not laws as the standard reads “The Boy scout Laws” but by a standard of VALUES Trust, loyalty, Helpfullness, friendyness , courtiousness, Kindness, obediance, cheerfullness, thriftyness , being brave, clean in thought and manner, and most of all REVERENT. reverence to a God we are allowed to believe in by way of our own Constitution of the United States. We follow that constitution set forth by our founding fathers right in your own city, not only because we are loyal to our Country and because we can, but because it says we can. we follow a nother set of governing bodies in the BSA National Council because our costutution says we can. When I was a young boy in the 60’s we had no Problems with anything such as the issues of today. We went to school, played ball and all the other things a young boy did, and we went to scouts and didnt have to worry about immorality or child abuse or being raised by two mothers or two fathers. Im glad to say that, today the BSA has a policy of dont ask dont tell. I, as well as im sure thousands of other Scouters and leaders in the BSA Nationally are prepared to stand by that rule.
As for Mr Diaz and Mr. Kelly and all who back this decision to evict such a Long standing Tried and True organization such as the BSA, from the hollowed hall of American Justice. Gods watching and so are Millions of other people who are planning to move to Philly or move tier busnesses to philly or who are planning to start a fraternal organization in philly. Million of reader of this are watching your works in progress. They are most likely saying NO, NOT EVER, HOW COULD THEY. That sirs is who it works in a nut shell. people see an injustice and rectify thier problem by distancing themselves from the the problem. I am strongly partial to those who do not commit crimes. Does that make me a bigot? If so than bigotry is the way to go. I hope there is a better definition for bigotry. I view homosexually as a self-destructive lifestyle just like drug abuse, alcoholism, etc. etc. The evidence linking homosexuality to self-destructive behavior is quite extensive. Being intolerant of self-destructive behavior is not considered bigotry.

Who’s making assumptions now? If you do some research you will find that Americans are becoming more tolerant of gays, not less. Bigotry went out of style last century. The thing about denial, James, is that when you are in it, you don’t know that you are in it. That is why they call it denial. Often this is true with “religious” people who think they will go straight to Hell if they do naughty things that don’t hurt anyone but that they are convinced God is concerned with.
