Fat Teddy Says Waterboarding or Simulated Drowning is Torture and Unacceptable….

Waterboarding is torture. Torture is unacceptable. Period.
If Michael Mukasey won’t stand up to President Bush and tell him that, then he doesn’t deserve to be Attorney General.
The Department of Justice lost its way under Alberto Gonzales. It became a rubber stamp for Bush Administration policies — from torture to warrantless surveillance to unprecedented secrecy — instead of a staunch defender of the Constitution.
Teddy, you know what else is unacceptable? Murder…

But real drowning is just fine.
RIP Mary Joe!
Teddy fled the scene of a fatal traffic accident and never had to answer for it. He is the last one that should ask that others answer for their misbehavior. I find it interesting that these dems feel that GWB should appoint people to positions that do not agree with him or people he cannot trust.
Teddy is obviously ignorant of the law. Cruel and unusual punishment was clearly defined at the time the cruel and unusual punishment clause became law. It simply meant that you would strangle a person before subjecting them to burning at the stake or being drawn and quartered. Waterboarding in fact was considered a just punishment for misdemeanor offenses. If Teddy wants to ban waterboarding then he and the rest of Congress need to pass a law to that effect.
