Bill Clinton Tells Truthers To Shut Up

Posted on October 27, 2007

I never have disliked Clinton and just as harshly as I speak of people with Bush Derangement Syndrome, I came down just as harshly on those like Ken Starr that decided that a cheating husband was something to impeach a President for.

I have seen Bill Clinton charm a group of hostile women on Oprah Winfrey and within five minutes had them eating out of his hand. So the fact that he has charm is undeniable.

I do not agree with his wifes politics nor most of his, but when someone does something like telling a truther to shut up and listen and taking them to task for calling 9/11 a fraud, I have to say KUDOS and well done.

Hat tip to NewsBusters where I first saw this story.

Early in his speech, Clinton was sporadically heckled. One heckler shouted that 9/11 was a fraud, and Clinton bristled. “No, it wasn’t a fraud. I’ll be glad to talk about it if you’ll shut up and let me talk.” The heckling continued, and he told another heckler “these people did not come here to hear you speak. If you don’t have any self-control, we can deal with that.”

When a third called 9/11 an “inside job,” Clinton snapped back “How dare you? I live in New York, and I know who did that. You guys have got to be careful, or you’re going to give Minnesota a bad reputation.”

(I hear him say How dare you twice and quite indignant at that.)

Nicely done Bill.

“that decided that a cheating husband was something to impeach a President for.”

You buy into this, Susan? The MSM seems to have you “eating out of its hand” on this one.

Not that we need to fight the Clinton impeachment all over again…but holy shiz-nitt, he was not impeached for infidelity!!!

No, BUT, face it, those were the headlines. We heard more about a little blue dress and cigars than we did about anything else in the MSM. Lewinsky became a household name.

If we would have stuck to the issues, I would not have criticized them so harshly. They didn’t, they went for the cheap shots every chance they got…just as they do with Bush.

I don’t see what his charm is, but I don’t need to argue about your feelings for Clinton. Bottom line here is that I actually agree with him on something.

Actually I was more referring to the show I saw where an audience full of women greeted him with hostility and within five minutes after he gave his “heartfelt” apology, these women were all grinning like idiots.

Southern charm. I never appreciated it all that much, I usually spent my time arguing issues on what I agreed with him on and what I stood up against, but I couldn’t deny that he charmed the socks of those women.

With that said, since I grew up and changed to the republican party, I have found that I disagree with more issues that I agree with him and his wife on, but it WAS great to see him take these idiots in the video on.

I am still trying to find a clip of the whole exchange, I have seen it on TV a few times and it is worth seeing the full thing.

Dear God Susan. How can you even write that Bubba was impeached for having sex
with an intern? You’ve got to be kidding. He lied under oath. He should have gone to jail
    and have been impeached. Unbelievable.

Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998, and acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999.

The charges, perjury and obstruction of justice, arose from the Monica Lewinsky scandal and Paula Jones law suit.

Lisa.. it may have “started” over Whitewater, but in the end, the perjury charges were about “sex” with Monica Lewinsky.

Ken Starr turned a serious investigation into a circus and if he had continued with Whitewater and if the perjury and obstruction charges had been in relationship to that itself, things would have been different. He didn’t, he went on a crusade which made him appear as insane as those with Bush Derangement Syndrome appear these days.

Wrong Spree. The MSM MADE STARR APPEAR to be on a witch hunt.

I do agree, there was much more that should have been pursued, many more scandals than I care toname, but the fact is, it doesn’t matter from where the perjury and obstruction sprang — it happened!

I believe that Clinton was more than happy to make his personal humidor the issue because it allowed for the MSM to push the story of an old buttoned-up prude dragging the country through a sex scandal. It worked to his great advantage in the end and even his opposition (Lisa/Spree) are telling the tales spun just as the Clintons and the MSM like them.

Susan I actually never mentioned or referred to Whitewater.
Bill Clinton was rightfully impeached for lying under oath.
It is irrelevant what he lied about.
He was impeached for lying under oath. Period.

Are you deliberately missing the point here?

If they would have stuck to Whitewater, FINE.

But there would have been NO PERJURY charge at all had Starr not gone after him for a SEX SCANDAL.

How difficult is this to understand?

I think Whitewater should have been his downfall, Starr screwed it up totally by getting sidetracked about Clinton’s sex life.

Adultery was a crime at the time the U.S. Constitution became law so it certainly does qualify as crimes or misdemeanors and its therefore an impeachable offense.

Never the less Clinton was not impeached for adultery. He was impeached for perjury which is even today a jailable offense. Scooter Libby for instance was jailed for it while Clinton was not.
