A Personal Note
Posted on June 24, 2007
I must apologize for my constant absense at my own blog. Let me start this out by asking you all for a favor….a prayer request. Last week I had to drop everything and travel to Alabama for my father’s bypass surgery. He never knew he had even had a heart attack. It was what they call a “widow maker” or a “silent heart attack”. From looking at the scar tissue they said it probably happened at least a year or more ago. After failing several tests in a physical it was discovered. It started out as a triple bypass and ended up a quadrupal.
He made records on recovery. Record time on getting off the respirator and record time getting out of the Hospital. He is recovering quickly and strongly. Still, I request all your prayers or thoughts.
This is why I have been absent at the blog. I am only back home here for the night. I will be travelling to Texas all next week for training. I may find time to access a computer at a Library while I’m there and I may not. I do have full intentions to devote some time to the blog when I return. I really appreciate everyone for sticking around and continuing to support the blog. Thanks so much, Jay

John, my best to your father, family and you. Prayers for safe travel for you also.

My dad had quadruple bypass a few years ago and recovered very well, too. The technology is amazing now and your dad seems like a tough dude - he’ll be fine. My prayers are with your family.
Jay:
SO SAY WE ALL.
All the best. Hang in there and get back to doing what you do so well when there’s time to.
It’s one of my biggest fears for my father and a hard thing to think about. At this moment, I have the same feeling and hope for your father as I find myself having for mine. Best wishes.
Jay I will keep you, your father and all your family in my prayers.
God speed and God bless.
You’re in my prayers.
God bless you and your family, Jay, you’re all in my prayers.
From all of us at ADMC, we will keep both you and your father in our prayers.
We thank you for your service to our country and for your excellent advocacy efforts on the weblog.
Of course you have my best wishes and prayers.
God bless.
You are in my prayers. Both my parents were ill and died in 2001. That was a very bad year. God bless you and your family.
You can count on my prayers, John. I know exactly what your family is going through as the same thing happened in our family as well and you’re right, they do call it a “widow maker”. Remember to count all the blessings you do have and don’t forget that the Big Man upstairs is the one that calls the shots. We are powerless when it comes to His will. With that said, my prayers are not only for you father’s recovery, but also for the strength needed for your family to get through the tough days ahead. Be well, brother. We’ll see you again when the dust settles.
Mo
May the Good Lord watch over you and yours.
