Your tax dollars at work…
From The Las Vegas Sun:
A girl and her grandparents have sued the Chicago Board of Education, alleging that a substitute teacher showed the R-rated film “Brokeback Mountain” in class. The lawsuit claims that Jessica Turner, 12, suffered psychological distress after viewing the movie in her eighth-grade class at Ashburn Community Elementary School last year.
The film, which won three Oscars, depicts two cowboys who conceal their homosexual affair.
Turner and her grandparents, Kenneth and LaVerne Richardson, are seeking around $500,000 in damages.
“It is very important to me that my children not be exposed to this,” said Kenneth Richardson, Turner’s guardian. “The teacher knew she was not supposed to do this.”
According to the lawsuit filed Friday in Cook County Circuit Court, the video was shown without permission from the students’ parents and guardians. Richardson had previously complained to school officials about reading material he said contained curse words.
This is the Left wing indoctrination that goes on in our public schools. They also make kids watch the inconvenient truth Lie over and over again in some schools. I keep telling you that the Left is indoctrinating your children to accept their values and vision for the future. You had better be on the job, because they are.

I wonder how long it is going to be before some individual who is a little
off balanced in his head it going to take some violent action. Then the
teachers who are trying to teach this vile lifestyle would probably stil
not understand that we the people are starting to be really irriated with
them.
How is it a substitute teacher gets to show a two hour movie when class periods are usually 40 minutes? The entire administration had to be involved and therefor they should all be fired.
“R” rating is age 17 and older, right?
.
Sue the bastards.
.
“Vile?” Remember, judge not lest ye be judged.
Vile is a good word for it. There are those that just do not get it. The showing of that movie was done for the purpose of indoctrination. It is a serious religious belief in many religions, to include mine, that homosexuality is wrong. I do not want a government agency (i.e. public school) going behind my back and attempting to push my children away from their religious roots and beliefs. This was an adult movie and should not have been shown to children. There are a great number of schools that consider left wing political indoctrination and not education to be their mission in life.
Gary, the bible is very specific about what is an abomination. Thus recognizing it as such is not judging but is acknowledging it is a sin. We do not ignore murder, why would we ignore other sins?
This is more of an example of how litigious and ridiculous we have become as a society, moreso than an “indoctrination” on trial. I think some people need to stop looking too deeply into things, and many others need to stop looking to make a quick buck off the stupidity of people.
