ACLU again compromising our sovereignty, national security…and will sue if we don’t surrender

Another common sense law-and-order initiative threatened by the ACLU and for what? Are someone’s “rights” being violated? Nope. Green Bay just wants to make sure it is not aiding and abetting illegal activity within its city limits. No, they are not “enforcing” federal immigration law, they apparently just want to make sure they are not in violation. Novel concept! Alas, the ACLU cannot let anything so outrageous pass or stand. They prefer advocating for “sanctuary cities” where MS13 and the 18th Street Gang are on their way from simply terrorizing and murdering to ruling such cities.

Green Bay Press Gazette: ACLU officials voice opposition to initiative

Hours before the Green Bay’s Advisory Committee’s meeting Thursday on an immigration initiative, opponents — notably the American Civil Liberties Union and Green Bay Catholic Diocesan Bishop David Zubik — released public statements condemning the plan.

The committee Thursday night discussed City Council President Chad Fradette’s proposal to tie city licensing to enforcing federal immigration law. Fradette wants to require all licensees to swear they are legal residents of the U.S. and that they won’t hire anyone who isn’t a legal resident.

The committee made no decision on the plan, which relates to about 30 different kinds of licenses, ranging from bartender to brush-cutter licenses, issued by city employees or council committees. The committee will take up the issue at its next meeting in a couple of weeks.

Christopher Ahmuty, executive director of the state ACLU, sent a letter to Mayor Jim Schmitt, city attorney Jerry Hanson and members of the City Council, opposing the proposal and hinting at the likelihood of lawsuits.

The threat to break the bank of a small community predictably followed:

In his letter, Ahmuty indicates that communities that have tried similar initiatives have faced lawsuits by the ACLU and other organizations. One community, Escondido, Calif., had to pay $90,000 in court costs and attorneys fees to the ACLU in a case that settled within weeks after being filed, Ahmuty said.

And what else did the ACLU provide as a reason this initiative shouldn’t pass “GO?”

He also said such an initiative would create liabilities for Green Bay employers and lead to discrimination against Green Bay workers based on whether they looked or sounded “foreign.”

Yes, it’s the Right that traffics in “fear” and “deception.” I’m sure he said this with a straight face. If said license-seekers can produce the goods that say they’re legal, it doesn’t matter a bit if one sounds “foreign.”

There’s less BS at a Texas livestock show than what drops from the mouths of ACLU attorneys.

I would seriously like to know how we as protestors can get
together and sue the ACLU , the president , Reid and Palosi, etc. I
I am so thoroughly sick of their stupidity and ‘know it all’ mentality.. They are supposed to be doing what we ,the legal residents of the US ask them to do. Lets do something together.. bj1boo
