British Catholic fightback against homosexuality

We read:

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Birmingham, the Most Rev Vincent Nichols, has called on his flock to join a campaign against new gay rights laws. Archbishop Nichols urged Catholics in the city to write to their MPs in protest at the Sexual Orientation Regulations, published last week by the Government.

The Catholic Church has led a campaign against the regulations, which make it illegal to discriminate against gay couples when placing children for adoption. The Church says that this goes against its teaching and that its adoption agencies would be forced to close as a result.

In a letter read out at services yesterday, Archbishop Nichols said that the regulations implied an understanding of the family and of children’s needs in which the claims of same-sex couples were placed above the beliefs of all major religions.

Good for them. The gay lobby likes to pretend that sex is crucial for relationships yet irrelevant for parenting. So which is it? Does sex matter or not? The MSM should call them on it.

Does he think that gays will make bad parents? Does he think they will adopt and then molest the children? Oh wait, he’d be for that. What a joke. If the catholic church is so worried about a child’s well being, then stop giving priest. who molest children. PROMOTIONS!

Once again I’m proud to be a Catholic.

It’s not about gays making bad parents, its about the homosexual lifestyle being counterproductive to a healthy home life. Here are some stats:

* Homosexuals account for 3-4% of all gonorrhea cases, 60% of all syphilis cases, and 17% of all hospital admissions (other than for STDs) in the United States (5). They make up only 1-2% of the population =(5) “Changes in Sexual Behavior and Incidence of Gonorrhea.” Lancet, April 25, 1987

* 25-33% of homosexuals and lesbians are alcoholics (11) =(11) Kus, R. “Alcoholics Anonymous and Gay America.” Medical Journal of Homosexuality, 1987, 14(2), p. 254

* The median age of death of homosexuals is 42 (only 9% live past age 65). This drops to 39 if the cause of death is AIDS. The median age of death of a married heterosexual man is 75 (8) =(8) Fields, Dr. E. “Is Homosexual Activity Normal?” Marietta, GA

* 33% of homosexuals ADMIT to minor/adult sex (7) *(7) Family Research Institute, Lincoln, NE

* Homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor (19) =(19) Psychological Reports, 1986, 58, pp. 327-37

* 73% of all homosexuals have had sex with boys under 19 years of age (9) =(9) Jay and Young. The Gay Report. Summit Books, 1979, p. 275

* The Kinsey study of 1948, which homosexuals often cite to say that 10% of the population is homosexual, actually says that only 4% of the population is EXCLUSIVELY homosexual. This study involved a disproportionate number of people who had been in jail for sex crimes (hardly a random sample of the population). * Current research shows that the true percentage of homosexuals is in the 1-2% range (15,23,26,28). Consider how small this number is when compared to most of the numbers above.

Based on the government’s own statistics — the “Statistical Abstract of the United States, 1992, Data on Boys and Girls,” published by the U.S. Commerce Department — Reisman cited the following for that year:

Of 86 - 88 million heterosexual men, 9 percent of them victimized 8 million girls under age 18, which constitutes 25 percent of all girls.

An uncertain percentage of the estimated 2 million homosexual men victimized 6-8 million boys, under age 18, amounting to 17 - 24 percent of all boys.

Therefore, considered in the aggregate, 3 to 4 boys are sexually molested per homosexual adult male.

Only .09 girls are sexually molested per heterosexual adult male, which is to say that, on average, 1 in 11 heterosexual males victimizes a girl under 18.

There are lots of studies to back this up. It’s sad, but children are better off in heterosexual homes. I”m not sure what the break up rate is with homosexual couples, but it’s probably pretty high.

You’re so intent on focusing on the dysfunction, even if one
concedes all your statistics (not something I’m willing to do),
by your own numbers the much larger majority of gay people are
not criminal, are instead good people and good citizens. But
you don’t see that, of course.
