Strange Days: Did Bush Launch Secret War Against Iran?
Posted on January 11, 2007
Armegeddon approaches! The left are freakin out that the President may have just launched a secret war on Iran and Syria.
Did the President Declare “Secret War” Against Syria and Iran?
Washington intelligence, military and foreign policy circles are abuzz today with speculation that the President, yesterday or in recent days, sent a secret Executive Order to the Secretary of Defense and to the Director of the CIA to launch military operations against Syria and Iran.
The President may have started a new secret, informal war against Syria and Iran without the consent of Congress or any broad discussion with the country.
The bare outlines of that order may have appeared in President Bush’s Address to the Nation last night outlining his new course on Iraq:
Succeeding in Iraq also requires defending its territorial integrity and stabilizing the region in the face of extremist challenges. This begins with addressing Iran and Syria. These two regimes are allowing terrorists and insurgents to use their territory to move in and out of Iraq. Iran is providing material support for attacks on American troops. We will disrupt the attacks on our forces. We’ll interrupt the flow of support from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and destroy the networks providing advanced weaponry and training to our enemies in Iraq.
We’re also taking other steps to bolster the security of Iraq and protect American interests in the Middle East. I recently ordered the deployment of an additional carrier strike group to the region. We will expand intelligence-sharing and deploy Patriot air defense systems to reassure our friends and allies. We will work with the governments of Turkey and Iraq to help them resolve problems along their border. And we will work with others to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons and dominating the region.
Seriously…the left are diggin this paranoia! Even Ace is fallin for it…heh.
“The bare outlines,” you know. Just telling us the entire purpose and strategy of the “secret plans.” But he didn’t tell us the details of what targets would be hit, and when, and by which named members of our Special Forces, and where their wives and children reside, work, and go to school.
Admittedly, this is pretty dirty pool, particularly against a “mischief-maker” like Iran which has been so forthright and upfront about its military moves against the United States.
In related news, UFO’s have crashed in Iran and Klingons are in the Whitehouse.

I don’t think it’s any secret that we have begun to confront those nations aggressively. We have already attacked Iran’s sovereign territory (embassy) and acknowledged doing so. We’ve threatened to attack their nuclear facilities. Those are just isolated incidents, but they are literally acts of war. It’s not at all unreasonable to suggest they might lead to all out war.
There is already a secret “war” against Iran and Syria involving politicians and cultural spies. They are fighting back in the same way and the Left is eating it up.
Why do you think the US (via its allies also) controlled UN has sent over 10,000 UN troops to southern Lebanon? Well simply so that when the US invades Iran, Hisbollah will be unable to attack the Israelis. Therefore, Israel will be protected from the North and the South by Egypt and East by Jordan. This is why Olmert has been meeting with the Arabs Leader and Condi with the Palestinian Pres. And this is why the US has just beefed up the LAF (Lebanese Armed Forces) also and is still in the process of doing just that.
