There they go again, confusing ‘polls’ on how the economy is doing with FACTS like all-time highs on the Dow.
A small group of people are doing enough better that the majority that they are able to spend an additional 8%. That is not too unrealistic since CEO’s are known to make 262 times the average rate of their workers which means they can spend a whole lot more than those same workers for Christmas. I am also ignoring people who spend money they do not have.
My paycheck is not rising to keep up with inflation which what I judge the economy by. At least I judge it by that and the effect on my friends, family, and associates. The devision I am part of being sold to another company does not make me think things are getting better especially since I believe some of the jobs will end up shipped overseas when it is all over.
