U.S. detects signs N. Korea Preparing For 2nd Nuke
Posted on October 16, 2006
The United States has detected fresh signs that North Korea may be preparing for a second nuclear test, according to U.S. media reports Monday.
U.S spy satellites have detected “suspicious vehicle movements” that could be preparations for another test near the site where North Korea conducted its first underground nuclear explosion test on Oct. 9, ABC News said, quoting unidentified U.S. officials.
NBC News also reported unidentified U.S. officials as saying U.S. spy satellites are picking up signs of truck and people movements.
The news reports came after the United States officially confirmed earlier Monday for the first time that Pyongyang carried out a nuclear test on Oct. 9 in northeastern North Korea, thus also effectively confirming Pyongyang’s possession of nuclear weapons.
Since its announcement Oct. 9 that it “successfully” conducted its first nuclear test, North Korea has repeatedly said it intends to take further “physical” actions against what it calls the “hostile” U.S. stance.
The first one may have been a fizzle, but be careful what you dare.

Thanks for the heads up on this. We are in much dire straits than we realize. The Liberals and Donk Lefti are still trying to point fingers at who is at fault for DPRK’s weaponization programs.
One would think that this country would unite in the face of threatening evil lunatic.
However, the Liberals and Donk Lefti are in a comfort zone when they can hate President Bush, jab their finger in the air. The liberals and Donk Lefti have encouraged and given confidence to Islamofacists, Iran, and are giving encouragement to Kim Jong-il.
Al-Qaeda is giving the same anti Bush speeches that the Liberals and Donk Lefti are. Liberals and Donk Lefti suffer from “Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS)” and incapable to focus on protecting America.
For the record, I don’t care who’s at fault. For the most part, although not completely, finding “fault” is a waste of time. It is possible to come to an understanding about the causes of an effect without placing blame, especially since the true blame should frequently be widespread.
This is a useless statement. If, indeed, the USA Right’s position is invalid, it understandably follows that all of its opponents would take a contrary position.
If you wish to prove anything, you still have to demonstrate that the arguments of the USA Right’s opponents are fallacious.
If you are going to make a statement like this, you should spend some time supporting it. You must demonstrate that the Right’s attempts to “protect America” outweigh the damage to the America that they allege to protect.
As for these satellite images, we should take the time to be sure that our interpretations of them are more accurate than the interpretations of the Iraqi satellite images.
Jeff,
We are in dire straits. I, too, do not care who is to blame. However, I see your friends Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, et al., playing lets pin the tail on Bush. Kerry was flaming today and called DPRK’s nuke problem, “Bush’s Bomb.” What was that about?
As far as donk lefti talking points being similar to al-Qaeda, obviously you have not studied al-Zawahiri’s speeches or those of his lieutenants. It is uncanny that they are using the DNC talking points. That, sir, is a fact. Read their speeches sometime. If you would like, go to MEMRI and browse through some of their documents.
http://www.memri.org/ there are other good sites to get the latest on al-Qaeda speeches. I have often joked (and wondered) who was writing who’s speeches.
In regards to DPRK Intel, I believe that we are taking our time to analyze images and will act in an appropriate defensive manner. It will not be air strikes.
You do not appear to be a military or intelligence analyst and probably do not know what is being done, just an average citizen with opinions and little knowledge.
I seriously doubt that we will launch an attack or use air strikes against DPRK. Seoul is only 25 miles from the DMZ and by all estimates, millions of people will perish is there is a missile war. Right now, we have to get China on our side and perhaps try some more creative approaches to the problem.
We have to be aware that Iran is analyzing all of our options and responses to see how far they can push us. There are some other countries that are hostile to the free world who are also watching.
I am not up to mentally sparring with you. I doubt that anything that I could say would change your mind, anyway. Jeff, I do not have time to play your games. So, please zip it and try to entice someone else in your mind games.
Respectfully,
Bosun
Jeff, one more thing, perhaps you could get your own weblog so that I could visit it and read what you are about.
You can register for a free site at blogspot.com or wordpress.com. You can at an anonymous gmail, hotmail, or other email account and design a site to your own choosing.
I would also suggest that you register with Hannity.com forum.
htp://www.hannity.com
There are many liberals and lefti mixed in with conservative forum members at Hannity.com. Actually it is a very balanced forum. You can debate a lot of other folks. I think you would have fun there.
Gotta go. Have a good evening.
Respectfully,
Bosun
I enjoy blogging and enjoy learning about other’s opinions.
I respectfully request that you retract that statement. My positions are rarely well-aligned with either the Republicans or Democrats. I have not, in any way, supported the Democrats’ attempts to blame Bush for this situation.
While I am no scholar on the subject, I do not doubt the accuracy of your statements. I think it can be summed accurately by saying “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” While there is certainly a correlation, you have yet to demonstrate any causation.
I added the last clause. I will assume it was accurate unless you express otherwise. Other than that, your assumption is accurate. I have no particular knowledge of the current situation. I merely wished to highlight the fact that “suspicious vehicle movements” are not enough to draw a conclusion. I humbly await more information.
I respected everything you said until this last statement.
You’re probably right that you couldn’t change my mind and I doubt that I could change yours. It is probably fair to say that we form our conclusions based on different assumptions, so the best we could hope to do is accurately define the assumptions that lead to our respective conclusions.
With all due respect, I resent your assertion that I am attempting to play mind games. All I attempted to do was explain my position and point out a couple portions of your position that were unsubstantiated; I did not assert that your position was, in whole or in part, inaccurate. I simply asserted that it was not fully substantiated.
I have considered doing so, but my personal situation won’t allow it for atleast another 6-12 months. In fact, there are some close to me that question my current, limited involvement in the blogosphere.
I have no desire for anonymity at this point. That may change if our civil liberties devolve much further, but I currently comment under the names Jeff M and Jeff Molby on sites such as Slashdot.org, Fark.com, CigarIntel.com, and DetroitTigersWeblog.com. I hope that this will satisfy your desire to learn more about me until such time as I can host my own site.
I concede that Hilary, John, et. al. may not be your friends, and I respect the fact that you do not go out of your way to “blame Bush” in a time when we should present a united front to our adversaries.
I am puzzled with
reference. The DNC should realize that they should not place themselves in a position to be used. I contend that al-Qaeda and Islamofacists will exploit whatever they can. They are master manipulators and will use the media and whatever they can to drive a wedge.
I doubt that the DNC is an enemy. But, then again, they do take Hate Bush over the top and are rather obsessive about their dislike for our President.
As for my ref for you to zip it, that may sound a little harsh to your ears. But, that is the way I feel right now. If you could catch me on another day, I would not have said it. I believe that you like to debate and mentally spar. I just do not have the energy this evening. Sorry that I am rather cankerous on occasion. I will take it under advisement in the future.
As for as you having limited blogosphere, hope you can get onboard with a site eventually. It really is a lot of fun and is a good outlet for communications.
In regards to anonymity when blogging, at times depending on your position, you may get some hate mail or worse. I am very cautious with people I do not know. Some take it more personal than others.
I believe that we can disagree without being disagreeable.
Some of my blogger friends have had bad experiences. I am not worried about civil liberties, just crackpots and extremists.
Good day.
Respectfully,
Bosun
Thank you.
It was probably hyperbolic to some degree. I was merely trying to point out that both the DNC and the Islamic extremists stand in opposition to our current government, so it should be no surprise that they take positions which lead to similar conclusions. It was not intended as a defense of the DNC position.
I’ve heard worse, so I will try to avoid holding it against you. I understand it (I’ve had my bad days too), I just don’t respect it.
Yeah, it’s “debating and mentally sparring”, but why else would we be here if we didn’t wish to do so? I just don’t like the implication that I’m pushing a political agenda.
It’s probably just a matter of time. Intellectual discussion of a political nature is high on my priority list, so I will continue to increase my involvement as it becomes more practical.
I appreciate the insight. The time may come where I assume an alternate identity, but for the time-being, I am comfortable with my natural identity.
I would advise you to reconsider this position. It is my belief that the latter is prone to requent threats with infrequent action while the former is likely to stay quiet until it’s too late for you to take action.
