Must Keep God off TV

We read:
“The emotions surrounding the murder of five girls at an Amish school in Pennsylvania were still raw Monday when the “CBS Evening News” put on a commentator [Rohrbough] who blamed such violence on abortion and “expelling God from the school.”…
The decision to approach Rohrbough and air his views prompted a storm of criticism, some of it within the ranks of CBS News…”
If he had offered a secular explanation for the slaying — “too many guns” or suchlike — that would have been fine, of course. Only Leftist explanations are allowed.

Maybe people are critical of Rohrbough’s comments because they are just plain stupid. After all, you can’t blame “expelling God from the school” for the acts of Charles Roberts since he was home schooled by Christian parents. I would find it more plausible to argue that his belief in God was a significant contributing factor.
I heard Rohrbough defend his position on Fox News and his defense mentioned that one of the killers at Columbine wore a shirt praising evolution. From this I get the idea he is applying his personal experience to all school shootings. That is a logical error, but his conclusion may still be valid and sound with different premises.
I can certainly see the link, because morality needs constant re-enforcement and religious institutions are the ones who teach morality. The expulsion of God from the government that occurred after the 1947 Supreme Court case that established Secular Atheism as the countries official religions led people to abandon regular church attendance which led to a declining or moral values. There are more factors to it but that was probably a prime one. Hitler was an evolutionist as were most supporters of eugenics.
You point out home school by religious parents, but such home schooling depends on the religious beliefs of the parent, which may run the gambit from liberal to conservative, and so do not tell you anything since many liberals and some conservatives do not hold to Christian ethics. Even when they do hold to them, there is those that use faith to justify the sin and not the sinner. The same is true of non Christian religions.
There is also the influence from sources other than school such as the movies, television, media, etc. Propaganda is very effective when trying to change a person’s opinions.
