…and they say it’s the Bush Administration that is divisive…

…and that Karl Rove and Christian Conservatives have poisoned the political debate.

From CNS News: Murtha Tells MoveOn Members: ‘Screw’ Republicans

“Screw them,” Rep. John Murtha said of Republicans in an email sent to the liberal political group MoveOn.org on Wednesday. The Pennsylvania Democrat, who is urging a U.S. military withdrawal from Iraq, added that he needs its members’ help to throw GOP congressmen “out of power — as many of them as possible.”

“A year ago when I presented my plan for Iraq, I did it to provide leadership and protect our troops,” Murtha stated in his email. “The Republicans have spent their time name-calling while the situation for our troops in Iraq gets worse. They’ve tried to smear me, other veterans, Democrats, you and anybody who stands up to them.

“Name-calling”?!?! Who said this:

“He’s sitting in his air-conditioned office on his big, fat backside–saying stay the course.”

That’s right, Murtha. I’d like for him to show where the Bush team has “smeared” him and “other veterans.” I love how others are accused of “playing politics” (actually I hate the phrase altogether — what the heck else do politicians do other than “play politics.” It’s like pejoratively describing Albert Pujols’ behavior as “playing baseball.”) when it come to issues of war and peace, yet find it necessary to “mention” what a great “hero” they are to this country for their military service.

You know, as a fellow Marine Corps veteran, I’d like to tell Col. Murtha, with all due disrespect — that you are a veteran means NOTHING in and of itself. This gives you no more moral or intellectual authority on the big issues that face this nation. To pedestalize yourself by nauseatingly repetitive references to what you did for a living prior to your up-until-very-recently anonymous career in Congress, makes you look like a fool in the eyes of everyone else who has served and doesn’t feel the need to convince everyone of his or her heroism. After all, if you need to tell everyone that you’re a hero, you’re not. It’s kind of like Clinton trying to invent his own “legacy.” Others decide those things.

Anyway, what matters is NOW…and NOW, Murth is a complete disgrace who has shamed the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.

Meanwhile, Harry Reid has found himself smack in the middle of the culture of corruption. Is it media bias that his story isn’t getting that much traction? Or could it just be that his story isn’t sexy enough?

It’s not surprising that Murtha, who is knifing our soldiers in the back, is now consorting with an organization (MoveOn.org) that welcomes racist and anti-Semitic hate speech at its Action Forum, along with 9/11 conspiracy theories straight from the Jeff Rense Show.

Actually, there wasn’t a debate until we got back into the picture. It was liberals, socialists and godless attacking and slandering us without provocation … they poisoned the well all by themselves.

But of course, they’re just the innocent persecuted victims of the “Christian Taliban” now….. nya nya nya nya nya.. what a bunch of babies.

I am voting for his opponent who had a 10 point disadvantage as of October third. Diana Irey has really laid into him calling him a coward for not debating with her and also accusing him of trading votes for money. She sounds like a good candidate so I am certainly rooting for her.
