Judge Dismisses Child Porn Charges Against John Mark Karr

A judge dismissed child pornography charges Thursday against one-time JonBenet Ramsey murder suspect John Mark Karr after prosecutors said they didn’t have enough evidence to take the case to trial.

Judge Rene Chouteau ordered Karr released immediately, bringing an end to his two-month odyssey in the U.S. criminal justice system after he was extradited from Thailand on suspicion of killing JonBenet.

Karr, 41, was returned to Sonoma last month to face the five-year-old case after DNA evidence cleared him of killing the former child beauty queen in her Boulder, Colo., home in 1996.

The Sonoma case fell apart almost as quickly, as investigators admitted losing vital computer evidence that was seized from Karr in April 2001 when he was working as a substitute teacher in Sonoma and Napa counties.

Defense lawyers tried twice unsuccessfully to get the charges dismissed and were seeking to have evidence barred from trial when prosecutors gave up.

This guy just can’t get himself into a jail no matter what. Arrggghhhh! So, there goes justice out the window and another dangerous freak pervert psycho out into the streets! This makes me sick!

lol, you’re right about this, Jay…

This guy just can’t get himself into a jail no matter what.

but what makes you say this:

This guy just can’t get himself into a jail no matter what.

    ?

The only evidence they ever had against this guy was his own confession. My understand is that it had serious inconsistencies, so how are you so sure he’s guilty of anything?

I’m confused. You say I am right about saying something but wonder what makes me say the exact same thing you say I’m right about.

There was evidence, apprantly lost by the prosecutor retards, that he did have possession of child porn.

What makes me so sure he is guilty? I know this wouldn’t hold up in court…but its just a huge hunch. Tell me, do you feel like justice was done? Would you trust this guy to watch your kids if you had any? If not, why?

Sorry, I missed a line the in the article. (I’m slightly intoxicated… Go Tigers! :) )

What makes me so sure he is guilty?

I know understand your frustation, but I am a vehement believer in the presumption of innocence, so I don’t believe a prosecutor when he says “yeah, we had him, but…”. It’s no more credible than most of the excuses I hear in a typical day. Even if the prosecutor is telling the truth, it’s simply his problem to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I have an infant son, so I will answer your question honestly: no. Why not? Well, it’s simple: I have a lot of friends and I can count on one hand which ones I’d leave my son with. It’s one thing to consider someone a positive member of society and it’s a completely different thing to trust someone with your child. It’s just a standard of trust that I could never hold many people to.

I think I know what you are saying, but I’m not sure. Go watch the Tigers and come back to debate tomorrow when you are not intoxicated.

Alright, it was a day game, so I’m good now. Here’s what I was trying to say:
