First, I am glad Foley is gone. We now get to replace him with a real conservative!!!

Last week ABC called him a “boy,” now they call him a “young man.”
What a difference six days makes!!!

I agree that replacing Foley with a real conservative is a plus for us if he wins.

the emails and the ages of the recipients dont matter any more. Foley resigned.

Now its all about the failure of the republican leadership. The critial piece now is when did they know about Foleys pedaphilia and what steps did they take to cover it up.

Like almost all scandals… the big damage comes from the coverup not the event itself.

I’ve read in several places now that the boy was 18. That kind of kills that pedophilia argument dontcha think? I thought you lefties wanted to keep government out of people’s sex lives anyway? I guess that doesn’t apply to gay republicans. The fact of the matter is that Foley has shamed himself by using his office and govermnet resources for unethical purposes and resigned as a result. As he should have. And IF any crimes were committed he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Herein lies the difference between most republicans and most democrats. We call ours out when they screw up like this.

Care to talk about Mel Reynolds? Or how about Barney Frank and the prostitution ring that was being run from his apartment? Or perhaps the slew of Democrats who have hired or jumped to the defense of Leon Rouse knowing full well that he has served time in the Philipines for having sex with a 15 year old boy? Or maybe the elected Democrats that demanded a cruise line that fired him for sexually harrassing the male staff, rehire him or pay him restitution? I could keep going.

You omitted Gerry Studds, which more closely mirrors this pseudo-scandel, except it was covered up for 10 years, inspite of him being openly gay.

I’m not familiar with that one lobo. But what it boils down to is the Democrats standing on a trash heap in their front yard yelling across the street to us to pick up yesterday’s newspaper.
