FBI Tape Reveals John Murtha’s Role in Abscam Scandal

HANNITY: A short while later the agent again offers Murtha a bribe of $50,000. This time, Murtha says that he might consider taking the money at a later date after they do more business.

HANNITY:…And Murtha was never indicted, in part because he agreed to testify against two of his colleagues, Democratic Congressman Frank Thompson and John Murphy.

Now, the House Ethics Committee split along a party line vote and did not punish Murtha, although the special counsel to the committee resigned in protest.

Murtha is as dirty as they come. A little more sly at the game, but he is bought and sold just as easy as any lady of the night. Wonder who paid him to sell out his country this time?

My district is only a half hour away from his. He’s going to get booted I’m certain.

Murtha is a Democrat and therefore of the party that regards ethics extremely lightly. Gerry Eastman Studds, the first opening homosexual congress member, had sex with a page, was censored, and reelected. He and the page he had sex stood at a press conference and said their affair was no ones business. The page was 17 years old. Dan Crane on the other hand a Republican was censored and charged with having sexual relation with a female page in 1983 was defeated for reelection. The Democratic party is always light on their own while Republicans are not
