(FLASH) 10,000 Plus US Soldiers Being Placed Under Foreign Command

Posted on September 28, 2006

Now that the media has let the “cat out of the bag” here is the big news:

NATO decided Thursday to take control of military operations across all of Afghanistan — a move that U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld hailed as a “bold step forward” for the alliance.

Under the new arrangements, as many as 12,000 additional American troops will be put under foreign battlefield command, a number that U.S. officials said could be the most since World War II.
The move is expected to take place in the next few weeks, NATO spokesman James Appathurai said.

The NATO take-over of the eastern section had been expected later this fall, and it would switch at least 10,000 American troops from U.S. command to NATO control — specifically British Lt. Gen. David Richards. Currently about 2,000 U.S. troops are serving under NATO commanders in other portions of Afghanistan.

In reading the USA Today article you may “feel relief” that the foreign Commander is British Lt. Gen. David Richards. How will the American People, let alone American Soldiers feel, when the next NATO Commander is from Denmark, Spain, Turkey or Portugal?

You can only guess what will happen when the largely “American Staffs” are replaced by Officers from the European Union.

I can “firmly state” that morale amongst US Combat Soldiers in Afgahnistan is suffering a severe blow.

When Clinton was President, Conservatives fought the placing US Soldiers under foreign command.

We know Bush and a good share of the Senators are globalist. We need to put non globalist in but that will take us backing them in the primaries.
