“White slut” not a Slur

Posted on September 18, 2006

A story from Australia about the prosecution of an Aboriginal (black) girl who attacked a white woman:

“An Aboriginal girl who kicked a woman and called her a “white slut” did not engage in racial vilification because the slur was common street language.

A magistrate from the West Australian goldfields threw out a landmark race-hate charge yesterday against the 16-year-old, saying the slur against Kalgoorlie woman Melissa Blackney was “the patois of the street”.

I guess that calling someone a “n*gger” is street language too. So that would be OK then. Or have I missed something? SCOTUS likes foreign precedents so it would be interesting to see if they take up this particular Australian precedent.

I am not surprised as according to Alabama targeting and burning down Christian Churches is not a hate crime. Liberals and false Conservatives get to decide what a hate crime is and what is not.

Note the West Austraian magistrate uses the FRENCH word “patois” to describe what is an acceptable colloquialism, that is “white slut” is certainly acceptable in the ACLU Politically Correct climate we live…I tend to agree since one could certainly use “cowardly” or “chicken-hearted”, “chicken-livered”, “lily-livered”, “rabbit-hearted”, “yellow”, “yellow-bellied”, interchangeably with the ACLU friendly “French”.
