NYT Says Muslims Are No Longer Supporting the Jews

Note: This is NOT an Onion article. It actually appeared frontpage above the fold in the NYT…
In an all too predictable move, NYT writer Neil MacFarquhar is asking readers to believe that a once-supportive Muslim world is now turning against Israel. That’s right! Mark your calendars: On July 28, 2006, Islamic opinion turned against the Jews:
DAMASCUS, Syria, July 27 — At the onset of the Lebanese crisis, Arab governments, starting with Saudi Arabia, slammed Hezbollah for recklessly provoking a war, providing what the United States and Israel took as a wink and a nod to continue the fight.
Now, with hundreds of Lebanese dead and Hezbollah holding out against the vaunted Israeli military for more than two weeks, the tide of public opinion across the Arab world is surging behind the organization, transforming the Shiite group’s leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, into a folk hero and forcing a change in official statements.
Never mind 2,000 years of history, Israel’s recent concessions, the facts surrounding the current conflict and the true nature of modern Islam. The NYT’s action line is clear (and consistent):
Nothing makes me more proud to be a Conservative than the NYT. We have to keep them in business!

One Response to “NYT Says Muslims Are No Longer Supporting the Jews”

I’m now hearing the MSM tout the polls in Lebanon showing Hezbollah with 87% support. What a real surprise!!!! I suppose they now expect Israel to hoist the white flag.
Israel is fighting for its national survival and the MSM believes they are supposed to worry about anti-Israel polls.
Can our media get much stupider?
