Fox News Host Tells Westboro Baptist Church Hatemonger: ‘You’re going to hell!’
Posted on June 11, 2006
Heh! Found this at WND Fox News host Julie Bandera got pretty fired up with one of the nutcases from the Westoboro Baptist cult of hate.
“What would you do if you had a son in the military?” an outraged Banderas asked. “Would you damn him to hell as well? Because you’re gonna join him there if you had a son!”
“I have eight sons and I have three daughters,” responded Phelps-Roper, “and none of them would dare, dare fight for a nation who has made God their No. 1 enemy.”
Banderas engaged in a heated, rapid-fire, name-calling exchange with Phelps-Roper, which included:
Banderas: “The Bible says ‘the fear of the Lord is hatred of evil,’ [from the Book of] Proverbs. ‘Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.’ Perverted speech like yours: ‘God hates fags.’ You are preaching absolute B.-., and you know the final letter.”
Phelps-Roper: “If you don’t tell them that this nation is full of idolatry, full of adulteries …Banderas: “Full of insane people like yourself, ma’am.”
Phelps-Roper: “You’re proud. You’re proud of your sins. You can’t do enough sinning. You think ‘gay’ pride, bimbo. You have sinned away your day of grace.”
Banderas: “OK, you are an abomination.”
Phelps-Roper: “America is doomed. America is doomed. … Before your eyes, missy, you’re gonna see the destruction of America.”
Banderas: “If America is doomed, then why don’t you get out? Why are you in this country? Why are you an American? Are you an American?”
Phelps-Roper: “I am exactly where my God put me to tell you plainly, that you are going to hell, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Banderas: “Why don’t you take your church to another country, then, ma’am? Thank you so much. You should not be proud to be an American, and thank you. Good-bye.”
Julie went on to say that if Phelps believed in the words of the Bible, that she was going to hell.
What can anyone say to this? Heh, even my most liberal trolls agree with us that this cult is one of the most sickening manifestations of hate we have in America. Way to go Julie! Free speech back and forth at its best.
Stuck on Stupid corrects Phelp’s misquoted scripture.

Update: I received this from Margie J Phelps:
The minute someone says or does something you don’t like, rather than provide a position on the merits, you’re immediately reduced to 1) name calling and 2) threats to stop them. The reason you respond this way is because the words of Westboro Baptist Church pierce you in the heart, and
instantly tell your depraved heart that there is a God, a standard, a hell and an eternity. You’re steeped in some filthy sinful manner of life, and it enrages you that anyone would tell you it’s wrong. You’re a brute beast, per 2 Peter 2, made by God Almighty to be taken by Him and destroyed.
You’re going to spend out eternity in torment, you know it, and you know there’s nothing you can do about it. Anyone who lives out their days on this earth breathing out threats of slaughter, simply because she doesn’t
like the words someone says, is the worst kind of coward, deserving of the hottest part of hell. You should be ashamed to draw breath, let alone pretend you’re a freedom-lover. You are precisely the kind of person the
Unpatriot Guard loves - a big, fat, smelly bully who wants to pummel anyone who won’t think what you think and say what you say. Worst of all, you’re a disgusting hypocrite. Now get a Bible and read it. Shut your mouth. Do your duty to the Lord your God. Obey. Stop whatever filthy sex you’re involved in. Shut your mouth. Obey.
Magormissabib.

I’m wondering if this email was supposed to come to me. I’m not a she, and the only sex I’m involved with is with my wife. It sounds a lot like a form letter. I’m wondering if anyone else has recieved it. As a Christian, I believe that homosexuality is wrong, but making the leap to associating it with our soldiers is pure B.S. There is a line of respect for all humanity that has to be drawn. Protesting at people’s funerals is just sick. If people want to live in a sinful lifestyle, that is their choice. Tolerating it is what freedom is, and God gave us all free will. If this group were really concerned about people’s souls then they would reach out to these people and try to convince them that their ways are wrong, not draw some insane conclusion that God is killing our troops because we allow people the freedom to make their own choices. The truth is that this group is a hate cult that twist the scriptures to reinstate their own brainwashed beliefs.
Update: The Anchoress has a sermon that the Phelps crew need to hear.
Anti-Idiotartian Rottweiller gives a big God bless you to Julie.

For some value of best. All I can say is: Wow.
Actually, it appears that Phelps told Banderas to go to hell, not the other way around, which your subject shows.
What I can’t figure out is the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on the word “Magormissabib“. So I went over to the thesignsofthetimes.net web site and submitted a request to that effect. We’ll see if they reply.
I liked seeing the heated exchange. The Westboro Baptist would have been wiser to protest recruitment centers and tell them perspective candidates that joining the military is supporting a nation that has abandoned God. Instead they say God hates homosexuals and kills American soldiers because of it. The first makes sense according to Christianity and the second does not.
Where on this site would it give the impression that we don’t believe in GOD, condone immoral sexual activity, or other wise unGodly creatures of Satan? I know from time to time we can act a little impish, but that is just our juvenile side. Remember the feminazis telling men that they have to get in touch with their feminine side, well we are all obviously in touch with our juvenile side. And personally I think that is healthy as compared to the too serious for their own good conspiracy theorists of the left. And at the top, I put his moronic woman who obviously doesn’t know HOW to read the Bible.
Magormissabib is from Jeremiah 20:3. A name given by Jeremiah to a priest who imprisoned Jeremiah for speaking out against the idolatry of Jerusalem.
So you have received a Jeremiad from the Phelps clan.
I actually have a date set to visit Westboro this summer: September 1st. I can’t wait.
Maybe one of us should give these folks a ring on July 4th, eh?
“Magormissabib” means “terror all around”. In typical ignorance of the scripture, Margie has mis-used the word. If you read enough of their correspondence, it will become all too clear that they know not whence they speak. Their odd idiom is the result of years and generations of cultish brainwashing.
