UN Blasts US Over Criticism
Posted on June 7, 2006
‘Very Grave Mistake’ U.N. No. 2’s speech angers U.S.
The organization that could not manage their oil for food program and other programs that they were responsible for has slandered the United States and Fox News Service. They even got a chance to kicked Rush Limbaugh around.
One might believe that Deputy Secretary-General Mark Malloch Brown is talking out of his ass. Sorry for the language, but, Brown has insulted me and the American heartland by his rant.
Brown accused the U.S. government of keeping the American heartland in the dark about the world body’s “good works?” Brown claims the United States relies on the United Nations as a diplomatic tool but doesn’t defend it against criticism at home. Brown blames Limbaugh and Fox News for distortion and misleading America. As soon as he can, Brown will sic the world body’s “unfreedom of speech police” on the American heartland. The truth really threatens the little “global village” that Brown lives in. Guess Brown and his donk lefti buddies want to alter reality and rewrite history.
Fortunately, Ambassador John Bolton shot back and warned that Brown’s comments could undermine United States support.
“To have the deputy secretary-general criticize the United States in such a manner can only do grave harm to the United Nations ,,,, Even though the target of the speech was the United States, the victim, I fear, will be the United Nations,” Bolton said.
Mr Brown explain to me, on April 28, 2006, the UN indicated that it would suspend aid in Sudan and the Darfur region unless rebel attacks stop. Just who is that going to help? How about the multitude of U.N. rule violations, ethics issues, financial and sex scandals, and the UN troops raping the very people it is supposed to be helping that rocked your organization? Your world body needs some serious spring cleaning from the top down.
However, you and your donk lefti at the UN continue to hold heads high and place the blame on the United States.
What a crock of bull Mr. Brown is. More information on why one who lives in a glass house should not throw stones:

The United Nations has its own web site which I go to. I have not been impressed with what they call “good” works.
Thank you for your comments, Kerwin.
I have tried to give the UN a pass over the years, but, am finding it more difficult each year. It seems that they are out growing their usefulness.
It is my opinion that, many of their positions, they prescribe to the same liberalism that the ACLU has.
So you would have all critics of the US silenced? Who is this “unfreedom of speech police” then, really.
I don’t really agree with what Mark Brown said, but I’m not going to argue against his right to say it, or your right to say what you want to say.
NZC,
Everyone has the right to express their opinion. When one is a public official, or in the case of Mr. Brown and international official, one has to be responsible for the substance of what one is saying. For him to slam the United States and pat himself on the back is hypocritical. That is what my op-ed was trying to point out.
In regards to the “unfreedom of speech police” are you aware of the UN movement to take control of the internet? They and countries like Iran, China, and other countries noted for censorship have complained that the internet needs some sort of control standard. Even John “F” Kerry and pundits on the other side have taken a dim look at the internet freedom of expression.
You really should review in detail the movement afoot to stifle freedom of speech.
I would have liked Mr Brown to be a little more responsible and self reflective.
However, if you believe that Fox News is keeping the truth of the world organization’s “good work” from the American people, I guess I will not be able to convince you of the slippery slope that we are headed.
I respect your position to say whatever you want, but, if you were a public or international official, I would expect you to be responsible for stating the truth.
NZC, What I have found that the liberal tolerant crowd is only liberal and tolerant if it prescribes to what they believe. Otherwise, the liberal tolerance crowd would like to silence differnce of opinion. The reason why Air America continues to go for broke is because they do not understand truth. They are but a cheap and defective copy of conservative talk radio.
At the end of the day, I do not give conservatives or liberals a free pass when I believe they are wrong. I am not going to give Mr. Brown a free pass, because he is an international offical and should conduct himself in a more appropriate manner.
Bosun,
“It is my opinion that, many of their positions, they prescribe to the same liberalism that the ACLU has.”
There is a good reason for that. The ACLU is an NGO of the propaganda arm of the UN and has an partnership agreement with the UN to advance the UN’s principals. What I find even scarier is that the American Bar Association has the same agreement which may explain why some of our Justices feel they should use International law to overturn our laws. To make matters worse George Soros gives money to both the ACLU and the ABA through his organization the Open Society Institute. I also felt I should mention that Sandra Day O’Connor has become a board member of the Rockefeller Institute that just happens to be another NGO of the UN. It’s nice to have a job waiting for you when you leave the bench but doesn’t that make her judgments look corrupt.
I have to congradulate Fox News, which I find to be libertarian, for exposing some of the corruption of the UN.
Kerwin, Thank you for weighing in with that. We need to call it when we see it.
Have a good day.
Respectfully,
Bosun
