Student’s First Amendment Rights Violated
Posted on April 18, 2006
John Martin, Vikram Buddhi’s lawyer is appalled at the blatant trampling of his client’s First Amendment right to free speech. Buddhi is a graduate student and teaching assistant at Purdue University who has been here for the past ten years on a student visa. Martin hopes that everything can be cleared up by Wednesday so that Vikram can get back to his studies:
“What was allegedly said certainly is derogatory and may be inflammatory,” Martin said. “But there’s no real serious threat more than it was chat on the Web.”
Just the sort of everyday stuff that the Left puts out. Like detailed threats to kill President Bush, Laura Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld. Oh, and a plea for anyone reading the messages to bomb the United States, rape and mutilate British and American women, and kill all Republicans.
Maybe when Vikrim gets out somebody could set him up with Maryscott O’Connor.

One Response to “Student’s First Amendment Rights Violated”

As far back as I remember, I was always told by my parents and authority figures, that if you threaten the President of the United States, no matter if it’s Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Bush or ANY president, you WILL be arrested.
I suppose “free speech” not only means you can burn the American flag, (but don’t you dare burn any other flag), give aid and comfort to the enemy during a time of war, AND threaten to kill the President. We sure have come a long way.
So that’s how this scum repays the U.S. for his education. He should be stripped of any sort of diploma or degree, immediately deported and banned from the U.S. FOREVER…
Instead, the good ole taxpayers of America will hire a lawyer for him and claim that he has a constitutional right to threaten the President. Since when?
I wonder how many lawyers tripped over themselves to get the opportunity to argue that it should be legal to threaten to kill Bush?
From the article…
What’s up with the damn foreign engineer students that want to kill us? Why don’t we just cut off the technical engineering student visas’? Or we could let them study on how to bring down skyscrapers or details of how our military operates (see
the history of Admiral Yamamoto).
Why can’t we learn from history?
