Al-Zawahri Calls Bush a ‘Butcher’
Posted on January 30, 2006
Al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri said in a videotape aired Monday that President Bush was a “butcher” and a “failure” because of a deadly U.S. airstrike in Pakistan targeting the bin Laden deputy, and he threatened a new attack on the United States.
Al-Zawahri, shown in the video wearing white robes and a white turban, said a Jan. 13 airstrike in the eastern village of Damadola killed “innocents,” and he said the United States had ignored an offer from al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden for a truce.
“Butcher of Washington, you are not only defeated and a liar, but also a failure. You are a curse on your own nation and you have brought and will bring them only catastrophes and tragedies,” he said, referring to Bush. “Bush, do you know where I am? I am among the Muslim masses.”
The airstrike hit a building in Damadola, killing four al-Qaida leaders. Thirteen villagers also were killed in the strike, angering many Pakistanis.
In other words, nah-nah na-boo boo, you missed, now let me call you names.
“The American planes raided in compliance with Musharraf the traitor and his security apparatus, the slave of the Crusaders and the Jews,” he said, referring to Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf.
“In seeking to kill my humble self and four of my brothers, the whole world has discovered the extent of America’s lies and failures and the extent of its savagery in fighting Islam and Muslims.”
The video was al-Zawahri’s first appearance since the airstrike. IntelCenter, a contractor working with U.S. intelligence agencies, said the video of al-Zawahri is new.
The Al-Jazeera newscaster said the network was airing excerpts, and it showed two short segments. It was not immediately known how long the entire tape was.
“My second message is to the American people, who are drowning in illusions. I tell you that Bush and his gang are shedding your blood and wasting your money in frustrated adventures,” he said, speaking in a forceful and angry voice.
“The lion of Islam, Sheik Osama bin Laden, may God protect him, offered you a decent exit from your dilemma. But your leaders, who are keen to accumulate wealth, insist on throwing you in battles and killing your souls in Iraq and Afghanistan and _ God willing _ on your own land.”
Al-Zawahri then vented more fury at the United States and Britain, its main coalition partner in Iraq.
“Your leaders responded to the initiative of sheik Osama, may God protect him, by saying they don’t negotiate with terrorists and that they are winning the war on terror. I tell them: You liars, greedy war mongers, who is pulling out from Iraq and Afghanistan? Us or you? Whose soldiers are committing suicide because of despair? Us or you?” he said.
Huh? I thought it was their side doing all the suicide bombs. The lion of Islam??? Give me a break!
“You, American mother, if the Pentagon calls to tell you that your son is coming home in a coffin, then remember George Bush. And you, British wife, if the Defense Department calls you to say that your husband is returning crippled and burnt, remember Tony Blair.”
The video came in the wake of a Jan. 19 audiotape by bin Laden in which he warned that al-Qaida is preparing attacks in the United States but offered a truce “with fair conditions” to build Iraq and Afghanistan.
In related news WND says that the of al-Qaida tapes are seen as tip on timing of future attacks, and that we should be vigilant this Super Bowl Sunday.
Zawahiri released his last video Jan. 6, making Feb. 5 the most likely target date, according to past attacks. Some analysts suggest the release of communiqués by both al-Zawahiri and bin Laden might be the precursor to a mega-attack – something even rivaling Sept. 11 in scope and devastation.
But there does seem to be an unmistakable pattern involved in the release of videos and al-Qaida attacks.
Zawahiri, bin Laden’s right-hand man, who narrowly escaped death in the Pakistani missile attack weeks ago, seems to release videos in pairs. After the release of the second video, within 30 days a major event occurs.
For instance:
release dates of Sept. 9 and Nov. 9, 2004, were the first set of videos, followed by the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, bombings Dec. 6.
release dates of Feb. 20 and June 26, 2005, were followed by the July 7, 2005, London bombings.
release dates of Aug. 4 and Sept. 1, 2005, were followed by the Bali bombings Oct. 1, 2005.
The next set started Oct. 23, 2005, and on Jan. 6, the second video followed. That, suggests some analysts, makes Feb. 5 a likely target date. Interestingly, it is also a significant date to bin Laden. Feb. 5, 1989, was the day the last Soviet troops withdrew from Kabul, Afghanistan, signaling their defeat at the hand of the mujahedeen. Kabul was the capital of Osama’s adopted country and was a major win for him and Islam. Significantly, perhaps, in bin Laden’s audio release he referenced the U.S. withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan.
It also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday, when the eyes of the entire world will be watching America.
If this tape is truly a warning trigger, I hope it is one that we can prevent…even if that means tapping a few phones to get to some answers.

“In seeking to kill my humble self…”
Humble? Humble? Sounds more like self pride. If he were humble, he would have said nothing and thanked Allah that he is alive.
Maybe he should remember pride goeth before the fall.
Somehow, I feel certain that Al-Zawahri is an expert in butchery.
First Bin Laden then al-Zawahri tapes are sent to their media outlet. Hmmmm, methinks something is up.
But, a prudent US response would be more satellite surveillance, more Predators, more Hellfires, and more on-the-ground troops and agents. Wish audio and video tapes had embedded GPS coordinates. Oh wouldn’t it be lovly.
Bush and the government had the perfect opportunity to put an end to this once and for all after 9/11, and they blew it.
The “War on Terror” was initiated with the support of the people that America’s safety was to be protected and defended. What happened?
Four years later, we have 2,000 dead, a bill for $2 trillion, nation rebuilding (you’re welcome Haliburton), BinLaden tapes, Al-Zawahri tapes, another terrorist threat while our borders remain open, underground tunnels, foreign visas and continued oil dependency.
I could go on but I think you get the picture….
When will our government and people stop cowering from the looney left and the commie fronts (yes, this means you ACLU) and free America from this pending doom?
US tax dollars have been going to the Palestine? For what? That was bribe money to keep them at bay. BTW….Congress has said that there isn’t enough money in our budget for a fence (cost $8 billion).
There is only one language these countries understand, that is the language of guns and money.
The place should have been decimated. It would have saved us all from debt, terrorism and our pending doom.
The ACLU is a front for the promotion of globalization, communism, NWO. Fighting to take away the traditions and values that this great country was founded on and keeping certain that the burning embers of communism will oneday flame up once again. The UN is a key player in the movement.
Wake up America before it’s too late!

“The most potent threats to life on earth - global warming, health pandemics, poverty and armed conflict - could be ended by moves that would unlock $7 trillion - $7,000,000,000,000 (£3.9trn) - of previously untapped wealth, the United Nations claims today.
The price? An admission that the nation-state is an old-fashioned concept that has no role to play in a modern globalised world where financial markets have to be harnessed rather than simply condemned.”
