Carnival of True Civil Liberties

Posted on January 3, 2006

I apologize, over the business of the holidays I have neglected our carnival. So, some of this might be a little dated, and it definitely built up…so this is a big one.

Mike Minton at Mr. Right Opinion presents An Open Letter to The Kentucky General Assembly. Very good post, make sure to read the whole thing.

Adam at Sophistpundit presents Health Care and Lawsuits: The Failure of Privacy Laws. Very interesting read.

Neal Phenes at Et Tu Bloge presents Socialism Is Not Peaceful Sharing . Indeed it isn’t, its been experimented with in the past and failed due to human nature conflicting with its utopia like ideas. For some reason, liberals have not given up on the idea.

Kerwin Brown at Expressions Of Liberty presents Cases About The Judicial Branch Forbidding The Free Exercise Of Religion In America Very good reading here. Educate yourself.

The MaryHunter at TMH’s Bacon Bits presents ADF: Soldiers for Christmas A few leftovers from Christmas, the heroic ADF.

Gribbit at Gribbit’s Word presents Congressman Murtha = Fiction & Other Liberal Idiocy. Great post by Gribbit as always.

Reb Chaim HaQoton at Reb Chaim HaQoton presents From Maccabean Warriors to Hasmonean Kings to Roman Slaves Quite an educational one we have here.

Different River at Different River presents Carl Levin, Strict Constructionist, and the Exclusionary Rule Very interesting read.

Kevin W at The Liberal Wrong Wing presents ACLU Skips a Second Amendment. Great read, and yes, the ACLU absolutely do not believe in the second amendment.

Neal Phenes at Et Tu Bloge presents Newspaper Accusations and Lack of Attribution . Seems a lot of this has been going around lately.

Don Surber at Don Surber presents ACLU: Anti-Children Legal Unit? Indeed, from their policy to legalize child porn, to allowing little girls to get abortions without parental consent, the ACLU do seem to have it out for children.

Jeremy at bardseyeview presents Macbeth and Death Row Very interesting read.

Kerwin Brown at Expressions Of Liberty presents The ACLU Violates The Natural Human Rights Of Americans. The Declaration of Independence states that we have the right to overthrow a government that is destructive of our natural human rights and install in its place a new one that is more likely to effect our happiness and safety. If we can do this to our government, we can do it to a corrupt organization like the ACLU.

Don Surber at Don Surber presents ACLU Sues Itself. Sueing for the enforcement you helped to craft is the kind of liberal logic that leads to posts like the next one.

Brad Warbiany at The Unrepentant Individual presents Common Sense Offends ACLU Yes, it does, perhaps that is why they have none.

Larry Bernard at Inside Larry’s head presents Dear ACLU Here’s a little quote: Some day a big Whistle Blower will find a way to drop his information out to the media and we will see true freedom in this country has been gutted because of your irresponsible hatred and pursuit of politics over civil liberties

Jack Guildenstern at Leah Guildenstern presents Liberal/PC mindset supporting terrorism Indeed it does. Very good read.

The carnival will be more frequent now, and usually posted on Mondays instead of Tuesdays. If you want to submit a post about how judicial activism is eating away at our liberties, please do so.
