ACLU Sues Police For Talking
Posted on December 28, 2005
Once again we see the ACLU attempting to undermine efforts by the government to keep us safe. The ACLU has sued to stop a behavior-screening program run by the Massachusetts State Police at Boston’s Logan International Airport. The program in question involves techniques used by police all over the country to identify suspicious persons by their behavior and body language as well as by verbal conversation with the person. These techniques are proven and used every day by police officers all over America.
Though the TSA is way behind on their efforts and should have been teaching agents to use these techniques shortly after September 11, 2001, at least they’re finally getting “on-the-ball”. Now, the ACLU in all of their “infinite wisdom” says they are suing because the techniques being used will lead to racial profiling. The government should have been profiling from the start in my opinion but I highly doubt there will be an influx of racial profiling because of these techniques.
The TSA will train agents at approximately 40 major airports across the country to evaluate body language and verbal dialogue. If the agent believes a person or persons to be suspicious based on body language and a simple conversation, questioning will be conducted with the suspect involving airport police and further investigation may be done. Race has absolutely nothing to do with how a person acts and I can tell you this as an experienced interrogator myself. There is never any need to observe the person’s race because the person’s race will never dictate their behavior but the behavior of a person will almost always reveal their intentions.
I only hope that whomever oversees this case will have the common sense to know just how much smoke the ACLU is blowing this time. Let us not forget that our wonderful country is constantly under the watchful eye of terrorist groups all over the world who have and will jump at the chance to hurt us once again.

Is there not a way that the police can profile the ACLU and not let them board any plane, subway or any where a terrorist can go.
Great idea! After all, as far as I’m concerned the ACLU is an American terrorist organization anyway.
It is worse than a terrorist organization Jay, they are America,s #1 enemy.
I agree whole-heartedly.
