Carnival of True Liberties I
Posted on October 3, 2005
This is our first addition of the Carnival of True Liberties. A lot of great submissions this week, especially for the first week. Thank you all. So, let’s begin.

Musing Minds starts off the carnival with a post about religious liberty and how yet another lawsuit against crosses has emerged. Some of these athiest residents feel they are being disenfranchised. Musing Minds shows them what that word really means.
das Heize at info4beer presents 10 Reasons Why Salt Pork is Better Than the ACLU This blog always has great posts about the ACLU.
David at third world county presents Let’s introduce the ACLU to Dr. tarr and Mr. Fether, shall we? Hmmm? Tempting isn’t it?
Fausta at The Bad Hair Blog presents I’ve had it both with the ACLU, and with frivolous lawsuits You are not alone on that one Fausta.
BobG at Sweet Spirits Of Ammonia presents The Screwtape Letters Of The ACLU Indeed Bob, for all the times the ACLU has used the word vague to criticize something in the administration, their wording on border control are nothing but vague. It is indeed a crisis that endangers all of us, and something definitely needs to be done. Why the ACLU opposes every effort to do so is beyond me.
Tom Spence at Time Hath Found Us presents ACLU fights abstinence education programs Tom, this is because it would reduce in their lucrative business dealings with killing babies. You know they have to pay the bills somehow, and for the ACLU they have found the blood of innocents to be a big money maker. Abstitence when practiced works 100% of the time, so its no suprise that others think the ACLU’s position on this is ludicrous.
John Bambenek at Part-Time Pundit presents The War on Abstinence too. It seems to be an issue that many are concerned with. Why someone would oppose teaching our children that the safest sex is no sex at all is beyond me.
REAL Teen at Real Teen- Right on the Right presents Right to Rave? He adds….
We all have the basic rights to go and do whatever we want, as long as it doesn’t endanger anyone. That’s a basic principle of American democracy. However, is a right to rave a part of that? Rave parties, which are constantly filled with drugs, alcohol, and illicit behavior, are being defended by the ACLU. A slew of officers in Utah raided a rave, and made 60 citations plus 30 arrests. They cited drugs, alcohol, and resisting arrest as reasons for raiding the rave. Well, the ravers are going to court and guess who is going to assist them? The ACLU.
Yes, another favorite person to defend by the ACLU are druggies. Did you know they want all drugs legal?
The MaryHunter at TMH’s Bacon Bits presents The ACLU’s Goal of Undermining Our Military It certainly seems so doesn’t it?
TrekMedic251 at Is This Life presents How the ACLU is Ruining Another American Pasttime! Well they’ve pretty much ruined everything else, they have to find new territory somewhere. I’m sure they will come up with a less offensive name for the team, you know like “The Cocks” or something.
William Teach at Pirate’s Cove presents Stop the ACLU wackjobs. Yes they are wackjobs, but Teach names his post this every Thursday, so I’ll tell you a little preview.
Freedom for thee, but not for me. The way of the Liberal. Kinda funny how the ACLU’s position matches that of the Democratic Party, huh?
oregano at Cafe Oregano presents let their voices be heard
We are a self-governing people. We decide who will be our leaders. Sometimes by vote, sometimes by proxy, we decide our laws, our taxes, our values. The founding fathers gave us this gift, and the ACLU wants to take it away.
I’ll give a big amen to that.
ric ottaiano at Release The Hounds! presents Legalization Of Polygamy Has anyone ever heard the story of pandora’s box?
MsUnderestimated at MsUnderestimated presents American Criminal Liberties Union This is one of our newest members, a brand new blog, and she does a spledid job smoking the ACLU. I think she’s off to a great start blogging.
wordsmith from nantucket at Sparks from the Anvil presents Moral Clarity: Terrorism is Not the Answer
Moral relativism has no place here. It is unwelcomed and offensive. You want to see a post about true liberties, and who is really protecting it, go read. They also have a post called In Whom Do We Trust? Another spot on post. They also have one called Radical Atheistic Fundamentalist Extremism Vs. America Check out the signs of anti-ACLU protesters in this post. The athiest extremism truly is a threat to our religious liberty.
Larry Bernard at Inside Larry’s Head presents Screw the ACLU. I wholeheartedly agree, and he gives us more reasons why.
John M. Martin at Martin’s Musings presents Torture In The United States Is Spelled “ACLU” and “MSM” I don’t know how to spel reel good, but he makes a strong case. It sure seems the ACLU and MSM have similar bias against America. I have always found it interesting how the assault of freedom via the ACLU is ignored by the MSM, one reason we made this blog.
THE LEGEND at worst blog in the universe presents WE ARE ALL GOING TO FREAKING DIE!!! Very valid point made in this post…simple, but VERY valid…Americans won’t need civil liberties if they die from a terrorist attack. We don’t think the ACLU have thunk about that yet.
Terry Dillard at The Right Track presents The Enemy Within An important message to America from this blogger. To summarize…WAKE UP!!!!
Gribbit at Gribbit’s Word presents Let My People Go! Go get a lesson on the 14th amendment, and how it is so often abused.
Big Dog at Big Dog’s Weblog presents ACLU and Gays Harass Boy Scouts Yes, and did you know they also want girls in the boyscouts? Give me a break. What part of the word Boy do they not understand? Just another battle in the ACLU’s war against the BSA.
Ogre at Ogre’s Politics and Views presents Government Insurance Ogre asks the question:
Should the government provide cheap insurance to anyone? Why or why not? He also reveals his answer.
Kender at Kendersmusings presents ACLU Protector or Enabler Ummm….I’m gonna take a wild guess. I’m gonna say both. They are the protector of sex offenders, terrorists, and criminals AND their enablers.
Sir Duck at presents Who is Above Law and Why
The reason why I wrote this is to show that every body has problems and the Kennedy’s bunch along with the ALCU are always thinking of ways to attack our freedom which will affect the way of our living. These people don’t care because they have all the money they need and all they are looking for is more power.
Late entry, but I had to squeeze it in, good post…go read it. The ACLU are definitely well funded in their attacks against freedom. One more reason to sign our petition, cuz a lot of that money comes from you.
Lots of good entries for the first week. If you want to join us next week submit your entries by Friday night at 9 p.m. at our carnival submission form. Great job by everyone. We will be passing the carnival around to other hosts in the near future. If you are interested in hosting let us know.
