ACLU Frets Supreme Court Changes

Pending changes on the U.S. Supreme Court threaten to undo decades of civil rights legislation and court rulings, the national president of the American Civil Liberties Union said.

Nadine Strossen, speaking in Louisville Saturday at the annual Bill of Rights Dinner, said the Bush administration could replace moderate swing voter Sandra Day O’Connor on the high court with someone more conservative.

That shows that the ACLU’s legal victories never stay won, Strossen said as the Kentucky ACLU celebrated its 50th anniversary. “With her departure, (abortion rights) are yet again imperiled,” Strossen said. “The Supreme Court has already agreed to hear an abortion case during its next term.”

Strossen, a law professor at New York Law School, also said ACLU court victories barring state sponsorship of religion also could be in danger.

“These issues have something in common with each other, and also something in common with other current civil-liberties controversies: freedom of speech, to death with dignity, to gay rights,” Strossen said. “They reflect concerted efforts by certain citizens’ groups and certain politicians to impose their own religious beliefs on the rest of us.”

There is some good news as far as I am concerned. Although the ACLU does do some good work, their left wing agenda is something to be scorned. It should not be news or surprising to people that they have a left wing agenda. After all it was founded by Roger Nash Baldwin, a self proclaimed communist. So, when I hear they are concerned in changes in the Supreme Court I want to celebrate.

The ACLU is against parental notification for minors having abortion.
The ACLU is for Sex instructional education for minors in public school.
The ACLU is for homosexual marriage.
The ACLU is against any Christian symbolism in the public square.
The ACLU is against the Pledge.
The ACLU is against the word God.
The ACLU is against public prayer, even in the form of a moment of silence.
The ACLU is for children’s rights over those of the parents.
The ACLU is for atheists and homosexuals in the Boy Scouts of America and now girls!
The ACLU States the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights does not provide for an individual’s right to bear arms. But that is the only Amendment in the Bill of Rights, it claims, is not for individuals.
The list goes on, so feel free to add to it.

From their own website:

We work also to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including Native Americans and other people of color; lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people; women; mental-health patients; prisoners; people with disabilities; and the poor.

Read between the lines. Although the ACLU does grab on to some good cases, here and there, their man function is to attack the American way of life.

The Left is communism. Many people buy into the lefts agenda that do not realize they are communist ideals; but that doesn’t change the facts. They are helping to move the communist agenda in this country.

A Summary of the Communist Manifesto:

1. Abolition of private property- burdensome property taxes?
2. Heavy “progressive” income tax- Tax the rich more than the poor. We have this already
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance- Estate tax
4. Confiscation of property of all emigrants and rebels- Taking of a criminal’s property with out due process.
5. Central Bank
6. Government control of communications & transportation- FCC, vehicle registration, taxation, and licensing
7. Government ownership of factories and agriculture- we do have government price fixing in agriculture
8. Government control of labor- labor unions were a tool used by the communists
9. Corporate farms, regional planning- Corporate farming has already begun, and zoning laws
10.Government control of education- public schools.

Also banning religion, gun confiscation, and destroying the family structure. Children belong to the state and parents have no rights or control over their children.

You can easily see that we are already communist light and the left’s agenda wishes to finish the job. The ACLU is just another tool of the Communist Party of the USA.
