Thank You

Posted on September 13, 2005

I recently recieved an email from one of our supporters. They were concerned that I don’t show enough appreciation to my supporters by linking to them more often. They wondered if all I care about is traffic. That is not the case. Traffic is only an idicator of how much support we have gained, and is by far not the most important thing. What this site started out as, and still is…a grassroots movement.

I know my little blog might not ever actually “stop” the ACLU, and it is often frustrating. I’ve thought about throwing in the towel several times. Despite this, I still hope that we can help make the public aware of the actions of the ACLU and their radical agenda. I hope that one day we can build up enough support, become a non-profit organization, raise enough funds to create national commercials exposing the ACLU, and organize massive marches on ACLU offices. But for now, I have to be content with the little influence that we do have.

The truth is that the time I spend blogging has gotten in the way of my job, and family many times. I can’t blog from work, and after I spend a little time with my family, and do the research and write up my posts, it leaves very little time for me to visit many blogs on my long list of I’d love to visit every single day. I’m sorry about that. I wish I could. I try to visit as many of you as I can. As far as linking to all of you, I have a new idea. I will put together a Stop The ACLU carnival every Friday that links to all the participating blogs from the Thursday blogburst. So don’t post late.

Anyway, the email did make a point in my heart. I don’t express my appreciation for the support enough, and I never will be able to fully express it. Without you all, this movement is nothing. You are the movement. And I do appreciate it. With your help, we have raised $980.00 towards our $2500.00 goal. That is YOUR money going towards a cause YOU believe in, your cause. So, no…I haven’t shown you all the appreciation you deserve.

So, I’m going to start trying to share a few of the best stuff I read around the blogosphere each day. I will try to do better at linking to some of you more often, and thanking you more frequently. I can’t do this without you. So, let me thank each and every one of you right now.

Thank you Raven. Raven runs the blog And Rightly So Her blunt advice of truth sometimes stings, but she’s been a great friend and supporter since I first started. She is currently taking up the noble cause of fighting illegal immigration. She is also a Proud member of the Cotillian, an organized group of female conservative bloggers trying to make a difference. Go here to see some of the good work the Cotillian does. Anyone interested in taking down the ACLU should read this book.

“Bombers, Bolsheviks and Bootleggers” A study in Constitutional Subversion.

From National Review Online, November 2005, November 23, 2005
Reviewer: Noel “ACLU hunter” (Houston, Texas) - See all my reviews
From National Review Online, November 2005:
Leon F. Scully, Jr. was probably the only legal scholar ever to examine the original documents and actual events behind Weeks v. United States and Mapp v. Ohio the Supreme Court cases that gave us the exclusionary rule of evidence and similar court-imposed constraints on law enforcement. The story he tells of collusion, rigged test cases, ACLU conniving, and illegitimate precedents will be of great interest to attorneys, prosecutors, and especially police officers. A short Introduction sets forth the case, with the command of both language and the law that characterizes the entire book.
