Watching The Watchers

Posted on August 29, 2005

Fear of a civilian patrol group is prompting fewer contractors to pick up workers from Houston corners where day laborers congregate, some activists said.

Workers’ fear over the Minuteman volunteers probably led to some day laborers also abandoning their usual corners. And the same concerns caused a day labor organizational meeting Saturday to be closed to the media, according to organizers.Source

Frankly they wouldn’t have anything to fear if they were not packed full of illegals. What part of the word “illegal” do people not understand? There is a legal process set up to work here.

Meanwhile, the American Civil Liberties Union on Saturday began training volunteers in El Paso who plan to monitor the Minuteman volunteers during their planned patrols along the border in October.

Of course the ACLU is concerned that the civil rights of these illegal imagrants might be violated. So they’re getting out their clearly marked T-shirts, and training their volunteers to watch the Minutemen. The Minutemen have been so successful, and are growing at a rate that is causing the ACLU to do double time to keep up.

Houston is home to an estimated 350,000 to 400,000 illegal immigrants, according to demographers. That is a lot of people who somehow squeezed by border control. Obviously something isn’t working in the system our government has set up to protect the borders, and so the people have stepped up to do the job the government has failed to do.

The ACLU are concerned that volunteers to the Minutemen might not understand that these people are poor, and only looking to provide for their hungry children. That however is not the issue. I will again say, “what part of the word illegal do you not understand?” The ACLU are more concerned over some imaginary rights that illegal lawbreakers have, than the safety and security of the American people. It isn’t suprising, being that the advocate open borders….which in today’s war on terror is just plain insane, in my opinion.

So, the ACLU watches the Minutemen, and we continue to watch the ACLU. Will they continue to discredit themselves?
oh my
