Always The Defender Of Those Poor Sex Offenders

When they are not busy defending the “rights” of terrorists at Gitmo, the ACLU can always find time to defend their pervert buddies of child diddlers, and rapists.

ACLU sues Woodfin over park ban on sex offenders
The Associated Press
A new law that bans sex offenders from going to parks in the town of Woodfin was challenged Friday in a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina.
The ordinance, enacted in May, is unfair to convicted criminals who have served their punishment and done nothing else wrong, according to the lawsuit filed by the ACLU-NC’s Legal Foundation in Buncombe County Superior Court.
“These laws stigmatize people who have successfully rehabilitated and may even have families of their own, who might want to take their own children to the park,” said ACLU-NCLF executive director Jennifer Rudinger.
“We certainly understand and support the city’s interest in promoting public safety, but these overly broad laws that punish people based only on their status do not serve the goal of making the public safer.”
The complaint was filed on behalf of a registered sex offender who lives in Woodfin, who was identified in the lawsuit only as John Doe.
Doe was convicted in 1987 of a sex offense involving an adult and has successfully completed all the terms of his sentence, Rudinger said.
Town manager Jason Young declined to comment on the lawsuit Friday, saying officials had not yet seen it.
“We feel we’re on safe legal ground” with the ordinance, he said.
The law penalizes offenders with a fine of at least $500 or a 30-day jail sentence.

I would be more apt to agree with the ACLU if they were to leave their own children with these supposedly “rehabilitated” sex offenders. I’m not sure their can be a true way to measure whether rehabilitation is even possible with this sickness. I don’t know the answers, but I would personally feel safer with my kids out in the hurricane.

In your last paragraph you say something about the ACLU leaving their children with these perverts. I dont even think the ACLU thinks enough of their children to care.
They have children? If they did they would realize just how dangerous “rehabilitated” sex offenders are, or haven’t they been watching the news in the last year with all the reports of children taken and/or killed by released and rehabilitated child molestors.
Gives a whole new meaning to R&R. Yikes.
Theres probably alot of truth to that. I bet they would choose their stupid lawsuits over their children anyday to ensure we live in a total tolerant society.
Hey Jay, Ive been posting some of your posts on Newgrounds.com. Its one of the most liberal teen sites I have ever been on. Anyways, They used to all agree with what the ACLU did becuase they really thought they did what they said. But after reading acouple of your posts, I think many of them are starting to doubt the ACLU.
Your a great guy Jay!
Thats great to know Brandon, thanks.
They always seem to try and defend the one’s that don’t deserve it. Just because they served their time, it doesn’t mean that these sex offenders are rehabilitated.
hang those weridos high …
gina forgot to tell us by what should we hang them. Hanging by the neck would be too good for them.
